Locations this year include a handful of states. Michigan locations include Grand Rapids, Kensington Metro Park, Chesaning, and For-Mar Nature Preserve + Arboretum in Burton. Outside of Michigan, we have Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee and Indiana Dunes National Park. There are also two different Virginia locations in this year's calendar: Shenandoah National Park and Great Falls Park.

Tumblr fam, have you made it out to ArtPrize yet?? This is my first year participating in the international art competition as an artist! September 13th was the first day of the magical event, and it was SO.MUCH.FUN!!

Here's some need-to-know info about my ArtPrize entry including where to see it and how to vote for it!

🐝 When: September 13-28th.

🐝 Where: My entry, titled Glistening Quiet, can be viewed in-person at Speciation Cellars in Eastown, Grand Rapids, Michigan throughout the duration of the competition.

🐝 Voting: You must place your first vote within the ArtPrize boundary in Grand Rapids. After that, you'll be able to vote one time per entry per day. My entry ID is 68802! Voting begins on September 13th and ends on the 26th.

🐝 Limited Edition Prints: Glistening Quiet is available as a limited edition 8x12 print in addition to my actual entry piece, which is also available for purchase. Prints can be purchased on Etsy.

Seagull in Lake Huron's Waves is yet another photo that I captured while visiting Mackinac Island in the summer of 2021. As I prepared this image for a phone wallpaper, I couldn't help but think about just how many seagull photos I actually have in my portfolio. In this photo's series alone, I have three seagull images. There's a fourth one in my portfolio, and I have some waiting for edits still.

My sister pointed out the other day that I might just really LOVE seagulls. I think she might be onto something! Is it there quirkiness, their colors, or their willingness to actually model?

Alright, friends! I haven't updated my Tumblr fam in a little while about what is going on in the life of Pábitel Photography. So, here it goes:

ARTPRIZE 2024:  My photo titled Glistening Quiet, shown in the attached video, has been accepted into the international art competition ArtPrize! ArtPrize will take place September 13-28th, 2024 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My entry will be hosted by Speciation Cellars, and my entry ID (used for public voting) is #68802. UPTOWN + ARTIST RECEPTION: I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be participating in the Uptown GR + ArtPrize Artist Reception on September 15th in Grand Rapids, Michigan! June has been SO busy that I didn't have a chance to tease this month's phone wallpaper for nature + landscape subscribers!

Ladybug on a Summer Daisy was taken the last time I visited Mackinac Island (on my honeymoon). My husbabe and I spent two mornings waiting for the sunrise that week. Unfortunately, both mornings were completely overcast. In place of a sunrise, I found this sweet ladybug one morning instead!
