Okay, so this is going under a cut, because it's a bit graphic and goes into detail about medical stuff, period stuff, and Host's body. Also I have been very careful about typing this so it comes out clearly. That's why the little glitches are missing.

We all know Host is trans. Let's get that out of the way. He is not on T, and the only surgery he's had is top surgery. So technically, he should still regularly get a period. He does not.

What Dr. Iplier thinks has happened (Host is asleep and can't really confirm this) is that Host narrated his period to suppress it, since writing it away when he was Author didn't stick. I think he thought the switch would help. What it has actually done is... cause some kind of build up ?

He suppresses it until he can't, and then has like. a horrific, nearly two week long heavy period. I've seen that. Normally the pain meds he gets is fine and everything is hunky dory and we're all good. However, this time he... i guess pushed it too far?

Dr. Iplier basically said Host gave himself severe endometriosis. Somehow.

I don't think I have to run down how a period works ? On tumblr dot com ? but basically when the lining is meant to shed, it. didn't. because Host was stopping his body from having a period. So that lining never shed, his body just continued the normal cycle and more and more lining built up over time. Until... I guess it was full and couldn't build up more, and then his hell started?

I know he said it was fine, it was a consequence of what he was doing to deal with the dysphoria of having a period at all, but again, it's never been as bad as this before.

He pushed it back so far that the lining built up back into his tubes ? and cause endometriosis, and it was so bad this time because everything was on the verge of essentially bursting.
