Programmable Logic Controller | GIC India
Most industrial controllers, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and programmable automation controllers (PACs), can handle essential functions like real-time control of discrete and analogue input/output (I/O) connections. This type of functionality is a given with most controllers, with the main concern being the capacity to handle the required number of I/O points, which is usually easy to ascertain.
When defining industrial controllers, concerns often apply to other abilities such as data handling, communications, and high-speed control. Identifying functions required to select and implement controllers and knowledge of how features improve designs can help. PLC Hardware 1 to 5: Input Module: Inputs are data given to PLC, classified in Digital IP: Switch, Push Button, Proximity Sensors, etc which gives input of either 1 or 0 to PLC Analog IP: Every analogue sensor like Temperature, weight, distance, etc which gives analogue data to PLC Output Module: Output from PLC, classified in Digital op: output signal either 1 or 0 Analog op: the variable output of 0 to 12 VDC or 4mA to 20mA DC. CPU: This component act as the brain of the system. CPU consist of Arithmetic Logic Unit, Program memory, Process image memory, Internal timers and counters, flags It receives information from the I/P device, makes decisions depending upon the information and logic written and sends information through the O/P devices. Power Supply: Certain PLCs have an isolated power supply. But, most of the PLCs work at 220VAC or 24VDC. Memory: Stores the information about the status of input and output devices, and the values of timers, counters, and other internal devices. Programming Device (Computer): This device is used to feed the program (logic) into the memory of the plc. First, we make a program in certain PLC software then we download it to PLC. PLC Programming: It is a logic we make in Computer in PLC software. Based on that logic & conditions PLC gives output. Most commonly used programming language is Ladder diagram (LD) also known as Ladder logic Typical Ladder logic: Here the input is push-button & output is light, so when PB is pressed due to the logic of PLC light will be turned ON.

Signal Transducers | GIC India
Signal transduction is described as the ability of a cell to change action in response to a receptor-ligand interaction. 
The ligand is the primary messenger. As a result of binding the receptor, other molecules or second messengers are produced within the target cell. Second agents relay the signal from one location to another (such as from plasma layer to nucleus). Often a cascade of changes occurs within the cell, which results in a difference in the cells function or identity. The signal transducers pathway can act to magnify the cellular answer to an external signal. Carrier molecules may be amino acids, peptides, proteins, fatty acids, lipids, nucleosides or nucleotides. Hydrophilic messengers connect to cell membrane receptors. Hydrophobic messengers connect to intracellular receptors which control the appearance of specific genes.
A ligand binds its receptor through several specific weak non-covalent bonds by fitting into a particular binding site or "pocket". In situations where even low concentrations of a ligand will result in binding of most of the cognate receptors, the receptor affinity is considered to be high. Low receptor affinity occurs when a high concentration of the ligand is required for most receptors to be occupied. The dissociation constant (Kd,) is the concentration of ligand needed to keep one-half of the total available receptors. This measurement of receptor connection is often in the area of 10-4 to 10-9 mm. With lengthened exposure to a ligand (and occupation of the receptor) groups often become desensitized. Desensitization of the cell to a ligand depends on receptor down-regulation by either 1) replacement of the receptor from the cell surface (receptor-mediated endocytosis) or 2) changes to the receptor that lower the affinity for ligand or that renders it unable to initiate the changes in cellular function (such as phosphorylation). Desensitization may lead to tolerance, a phenomenon that results in the loss of medicinal effects of some medicines that are overprescribed. Receptor coupling activates a "preprogrammed" series of signal transduction events that make use of beforehand dormant cellular processes.

What is a power supply?
A power supply is a machine that supplies power to another machine, at a particular voltage level, voltage type and current level. For example, when we talk about a 9VDC @ 500mA power supply can provide as much as 500mA of current and the voltage will be at least 9V DC up to that maximum current level. While it seems simple, power supplies have a number of little hang-ups that can be very tricky for the uninitiated. For example, unregulated suppliers say they can provide 9V but really may be outputting 15V! The very common 7805 regulator datasheet claims it can regulate up to 1000 mA of current, but when you put a 15V supply on one side, it overheats and shuts down!

Current Relay | GIC India
A current relay is an electrically operated switch. Current flowing within the coil of the relay generates a magnetic field which pulls a lever and changes the switch contacts. The coil current can be on or off so relays have two switch positions and most should double throw(changeover) switch contacts.

Relays provide one circuit to change a second circuit which can be entirely separate from the first. For case, a low voltage battery circuit can utilise a relay to switch a 230V AC mains circuit. There is no electrical contact inside the relay within the two circuits, the link is magnetic and mechanical.
The coil of a relay passes a relatively large current, typically 1A – 45A for a 12V relay. Most ICs cannot give this current and a conductor is usually used to increase the small IC current to the larger value required for the relay coil.

Such devices uses current relays to prevent failures due to extreme or insufficient amounts of electrical current (“overcurrent” and “undercurrent,” respectively)

If too many current flows through a device equipped with a current relay, the relay will activate, switching off or otherwise altering the amount of energy allowed to flow through the circuit or circuits the relay is connected to. This reduces the amount of current that's allowed to move through the system. The same functionality can be given to devices or other electrical apparatuses to prevent damage due to undercurrent.
Current relays can be used for both AC and DC set-ups, and their ability to prevent equipment failures due to overcurrent and undercurrent makes them an effective hazard control in workplaces where an equipment malfunction could cause injury.

The word “Transducer” is the common word used for both Sensors which can be applied to sense a wide range of various energy modes such as transit, electrical signals, radiant energy, thermal or magnetic power, etc., and Actuators which can be utilized to shift voltages or currents.
There are many various types of sensors and transducers, both analog and digital and input and output ready to choose from. The type of input or output transducer being utilized depends upon the type of signal or method being “Sensed” or “Controlled,” but we can define a sensor and transducers as tools that turn one physical quantity into another.
Tools which produce an “Input” function are usually called Sensors because of the “sense” a physical change in some property that changes in response to some excitation, for example, heat or energy and transform that into an electrical signal. There are many factors that attract a huge population to Pune, out of which many decide to settle down here. Mumbai is one of the most coveted cities to live in due to its expansion, opportunities and modernity, but the factor that holds many back is Mumbai’s insanely increasing population. Mumbai’s population, as recorded in 2018, is approximately 1.3 crores and there is no end to the daunting rate of increment. A single phasing preventer is used to protect the induction motor from a single phasing fault. Single phasing is a very dangerous fault to the electrical motor and Which damages the motor stator winding rapidly. Generally, single phasing is nothing but a motor runs at one of the supply is separated due to the open circuit or improper contact in a switch or other electrical equipment failure. Normally, the motor runs with the three-phase supply and which brings balance currently in each phase winding. Analyze one of the fuses has blown.
