Perspective on the Letters

One particular moment I found heartbreaking was Queen Mira’s letter. Because you do have a well intentioned, good (for a queen) intelligent leader who wants to reform a corrupt system, but is going about it in a way that will lead nowhere. At some point, the system cannot be reformed and must be replaced with something entirely new. I liked the point of how the monster definition was being updated, instead of being gone away with. This just leads to more sentient beings falling under discrimination.

And Caroline realizing she had become part of a corrupt system and leaving it to journey back home is interesting. Her letter back shows the growth she has developed and I am looking forward to how she and the Queen’s relationship will evolve next season. I don’t see the Queen becoming the main villain, but potentially seeing her as an antagonist will be hard (in a good way) to bear.
