MLB Playoffs and NFL Predictions
I am back for the first time in about a year. Hoping to post something once a week. The MLB playoffs started 6 days ago, and the NFL season started 5 weeks ago. I have been slacking. I did not post my MLB predictions this year, which is probably a good thing. I did better than last year, but not by a lot. I was off by an average of 9 games, whereas last year it was 10. I had the Nationals beating the Yankees in the World Series, which is obviously not going to happen. Ever since I got the World Series exactly right in 2016, I haven’t gotten either team right so far. I could still get the Yankees right, though. I will try to post a picture of my 2018 predictions for baseball and football. You will have to trust me that I didn’t change my baseball predictions since the spring. With football, I have the Saints beating the Jaguars 31-24 in Super Bowl LIII, but right now it is looking like Rams vs. Chiefs, as they are both 5-0 and look unstoppable, especially Patrick Mahomes. Like I said, I will try to post weekly from now on.

Baseball Predictions 2016
My predictions are: In the NL, the Mets win the East with a record of 93-69, the Cubs win the Central with a record of 99-63, and the Pirates getting into the Wild Card, with a record of 92-70, and the Giants win the West with a record of 94-68, and the Dodgers getting the second Wild Card spot, also with a record of 92-70.
In the AL, I’ve got the Blue Jays winning the East with a record of 91-71, and the Red Sox barely getting a Wild Card with a record of 89-73, the Royals winning the Central with a record of 93-69, and the Indians getting the other Wild Card spot with a record of 90-72, and the Astros winning the West with a record of 95-67, while the Mariners miss the playoffs by one game, at 88-74.
Then I’ve got the Pirates beating the Dodgers in the Wild Card game [barely], but then losing 3 games to 1 to the Cubs. I also have the Giants beating the Mets 3 games to 2. So the Giants and Cubs square off, and the Cubs win 4 games to 2, and go to the World Series.
Next I’ve got the Indians beating the Red Sox in the Wild Card, and beating the Astros 3 games to 2. I’ve got [reluctantly] the Royals beating the Blue Jays 3 games to 2, so the Indians and Royals face off, and the Indians come away with a 4 games to 3 victory.
So the Cubs and Indians face each other in the Wold Series, and here’s the format I have set up:
Game 1: Cubs Game 2: Indians Game 3: Indians Game 4: Cubs Game 5: Indians Game 6: Cubs Game 7: CUBS win the World Series!
Here are some pictures of the whiteboard in my room that I have these predictions written out on. [I also have my Cy Young and MVP predictions written on there]
