    Sousuke’s grin faltered at Haru’s jest before he snickered along with the shorter     male’s chuckle. His hands gripped the edge of the counter, keeping his     balance as Haru added more to the previous statement. The University student     smiled and reached out to ruffle the swimmer’s hair

           “I wouldn’t be a very good boyfriend                       if I never made an effort to see you.”

    Sousuke’s eyes lingered on the other’s form for a while before averting to observe     the rest of the home that was within his vision. He paused though, he hadn’t     particularly come here with a plan of what to do. Other than surprise Haru and     spend time with him. Oops.

                “Well, I hadn’t exactly thought of that.”

   He admitted, bringing a hand up to rub the back of his neck with a small smile of    embarrassment

Haru could feel his blush deepen a little as Sousuke placed a light kiss against his shoulder. He wondered if he’d ever get used to this, being embraced so affectionately. He gave a wry smile at the teasing, replying in his usual deadpan manner.

“No, I wanted to see you. It’s just lucky my other boyfriend left before you arrived.” Haru joked with a light chuckle afterwards, watching Sousuke’s face for any reaction.

“I appreciate you coming all this way.” Haru then added, softer and with more warmth in his voice. Sousuke was turning out to be far sweeter and affectionate than Haru had previously thought of him, and it was still a little flustering for him.

He turned aside for a moment, turning of the cooker and starting to untie his apron. “What would you like to do then?”

    How cute. The smaller jolting when suddenly embraced by the University studen     and Sousuke couldn’t help but chuckle at that. He leaned down, placing a kiss     on Haru’s shoulder before tightening his arms around him just slightly,     feeling the smaller form relax against him     He looked to the cooking fish before shrugging slightly at the words, a smile     curled upon his handsome features

         “Had a free day, thought I’d come surprise you.

                 Did you not wanna see me?”

    Sousuke teased before releasing Haru from his grasp and turning around him to     lean his backside against the counter, arms folding over his chest

           “Hadn’t been here in a while, a visit seemed like a good idea anyways.                   Just didn’t have the time before.”

    He gave an apologetic cant of his head, his school and workout schedule really     does eat up a majority of his free time. He can almost never have a day off     cutting the time of something else. But for Haru, he’d use any spare time he     had

The past week had been a little strange to say the least. Being asked out by Sousuke was something he had never thought of happening, but his answer had been rather simple. There had been something unknown burning quietly beneath the surface of their friendship and Haru didn’t even need to think before saying yes.

Haru was a little nervous about it, even if his face rarely showed it; but he was rather happy as well. So he was in a grand mood as he fried off the fish he was preparing for his dinner later on. He heard his phone ring out but didn’t think much of it; never one to rush to reply to anyone, really.

In fact he was so caught up in cooking and thinking about things that he didn’t notice Sousuke entering the house, nor did he hear him approach. So once a pair of strong arms were around him, Haru jumped slightly, letting out only the tiniest sound of surprise.

“Sousuke..” He managed to speak after a moment, heart pounding against his chest. How on earth did a big lump like him move so quietly? But he couldn’t claim to be angry in the slightest, the small smile and light blush crossing his cheeks testament to that.

“I..didn’t think I’d see you until next week.” Haru murmured, relaxing back into the embrace.

    There was a hum as long strides carried the University student to a particular     house he hasn’t visited in quite some time. He hasn’t even been to this part of     town in a while since he moved off for college. However there was a reason, a     certain special someone has a off day today and Sousuke decided Haru     deserved a little surprise. They’d only been dating for a week now, it was all     still weird, foreign. Moving from the level of friendship to relationship, but Sousuke     was more than happy.. and not to mention nervous.     He pulled out his phone as he stopped at the door

    He mutters things incoherent, stirring for a moment before teal eyes would peel     open. He was groggy, not particularly registering his surroundings before he suddenly     jolted back into his sitting position. He reached a hand up to run through his     dark brown locks

          “Ah.. I’m sorry.”

    He yawned before shifting in the seat, trying to make himself a little less comfortable     to keep from drifting off on this stranger again

             “Been a long week..”

Well, he couldn’t think of a more perfect place to take a nap. The weather was relatively nice save for the slight wind. Plus, this guy picked the right person to take a nap on. Icarus wouldn’t move, especially if this stranger needed the sleep.

          “Of course.”

    Sousuke smiled at Haru, nodding at the answer and he’d turn on his heel and     begin walking. Keeping his strides slow so that the other could catch up and     fall into step beside him easily. His hands slipped into his own pockets as he     thought for just a moment, before opening his mouth to speak

             “Anything you want in particular?                      There are some good fish restaurants around here.”

Haru’s eyes widened a little and he told himself off for being so hostile at the start of their conversation. That was right, he and Sousuke were friends now; it wasn’t simply a case of tolerating one another for Rin’s sake any more. And as usual Haru wasn’t entirely sure how to react to this sort of thing.

“Ah.. Thank you.” Haru nodded a little. “Food might be nice, I haven’t ate since early this morning.” Early trains were a big pain in the ass.

    Don’t mind Sousuke as he dozes off on the shoulder of the person next to him.     He had overworked himself a bit yesterday and the following morning, so resting     in the park was a little too relaxing it seemed, for he’s near full unconsciousness
