Claymore October Challenge
After some due dates, I finally have some free time again. Days 14-20 14: Least favourite ship? I was unaware ClarexTeresa was a thing, but now that I am, I have to say that one. It feels to much like a parental/child relationship to be anything else to me. 15: What song do I associate with a certain character? Well, my musical tastes are terrible (classical music, with some game soundtracks and Star Wars themes), so nothing I can think of. 16:A backstory for my favourite character? Well, Galatea came across as vain, a bit snobby, a good speaker, and well educated. Compared to the other Claymores, she came across as a lot more witty and sarcastic. She seemed to understand being a nun as well. I think that she grew up in a fairly well off family, possibly a low noble one or maybe a priestly family. This would With the wealth she had access to, she was able to educate herself, and receive some training in speaking. It would also allow her to be concerned with her own appearance. I believe she also had light blond hair, as, unlike say Clare or Teresa, her hair becomes stark white. It also prevents anything from happening like with Teresa, complaining that her black hair was her best feature. Since she expresses no resentment to her family, I think that the immediate family was killed in a Yoma attack, and she was picked up soon after. 17: Would Irene accept her arm back? Assuming Irene did not regrow her arm, since there is no point in accepting something back you already have. I do not think she would, as she completely accepted losing it when she gave it up. 18: Do I think that it takes place on some iteration of earth, another planet, or whole alternate universe? Whole Alternate Universe. 19: Do I think the organization will attempt to return? No, I think the Organization is pretty much gone. Unless enough remnants escaped and wanted to restore power. I do think the nation who founded it would return, and make attempts to recapture it. Even if they struggled with the Dragon People in battle, they would have some ways to deal with them; therefore, they probably wouldn’t be too concerned, to start with, to attempt to recapture their territory. During the 2nd Punic War when Hannibal was in Italy destroying the Roman Forces, Rome still recaptured Syracuse when it revolted. I feel that the island the organization held had enough wealth, since you can see how much money they populace paid to them. Whether this was put in to start or mined and minted there, it is never said. Enough that a nation willing to make a dark institution like the Organization would come look for. 20: What 2 characters do I wish met/ interacted? Teresa, as #1, and Alicia/Beth. I wonder how their power compared to hers, especially when she was reputed to be the Organizations most powerful warrior.

Claymore October Challenge
Days 11-13 11 What is my favourite thing about the story? I like the dark fantasy aspect of it, especially early on. Clare struggled with even the basic Yoma at the start, especially that one in the chapel. It was nice to see the protagonists grow, but never to the point that the antagonists were ever useless. Plus, all the claymores that were important having actual characters, and not being mirror clones or anything.
12 What is my least favourite thing? I hated when Jean died. I know she had a good death story-wise, but that was a character I really got attached to really fast. Same with Teresa.
13: Favourite ship? I am not really a person who ships, but TabithaxMiria was one even I kind of noticed when I first read through the manga. It makes Tabitha’s death all the more tragic.

October Claymore Challenge
Days 7-10, done during a break between assignment work. 7: What is my favourite headcannon? I have seen a few, but I am not very familiar with very many. I guess the JeanxClare one would be, as I was never a particular fan of Raki (Though, I found myself much more fond of him after the 7 year skip). 8: Um... N/A, I guess. I have no real headcannons, aside from I approach the setting as a high medieval fantasy (even if it is much darker than most of them). This wouldn’t be anything special, except of how I often assume what people do off panel like father Vincent, according to what I know. I am often impressed how accurate some of the things are to medieval times, such as the design, not the size, of Raki’s greatsword after the 7 year time skip. 9: Favourite Awakened form? Isley was definitely one I liked. Unlike other awakened ones, he actually created weapons, which I quite liked. Plus, the centaur look. I made a short lived D&D character based on it. Miata’s awakened form and the first male awakened being they fought were also pretty good looking. 10: One thing I could change? I would have liked to see the early life of a lot more claymores, to see how they struggled and got through the difficulties of starting their paths as a claymore.

October Claymore Challenge
Days 4, 5, and 6.
4 Which character do I wish I got to know more about? Since ‘All of them’ probably isn’t a good answer, I would have to say Alicia and Beth. We do see them battle Riful, Dauf, and Priscilla, but we really don’t see anything of them before that. Since they were with the organization before the 7-year time skip, I’d think that there would be a lot of their training that would be interesting to explore. 5. What in the Manga do I wish was explored more? I’d love to know more about the establishment of the organization. We get a few hints here and there, but don’t have much on how they established. Especially since they were able to make the claim that Yoma had been there since the beginning, and everyone by Clare’s generation believed that. 6. What battle would I like to see, and who would I think would win? I would like to see, though it would definitely never fit into a timeline, Galatea vs Teresa. I feel that it would be interesting to see if Galatea would be able to use her Yoki Manipulation to any affect on Teresa. Maybe to just manipulate Teresa’s Yoki detection for the upper hand. As for the winner, well most likely Teresa. Though Ilena noted in her fight with Teresa that Teresa lacked any special powers, compared to her quick sword, Sophia’s strength or Noel’s Agility, I think Teresa’s having the reputation for being the most powerful #1 would allow her to win.

October Claymore Challenge
I probably should post something to the community, and put a little bit of a face to the guy who says nothing and ‘likes’ things. Probably will do it in chunks, as I am pretty forgetful ( and will remember after 2 or 3 days)
Days 1, 2, and 3 1 Which character do I relate to and why? Um... I am terrible at these. 3 years ago it would have been Clare, but not so much anymore. I can see some resemblance to Ilena, just with the kind of emotionless outward portrayal. She seemed cold leading up to her fight with Teresa. Aside from her, I can kind of see traits from Teresa, Galatea, Galk, and Jean that I have. 2 Who is my favourite character and why? Galatea has been my favourite; although, I do like Jean too. Galatea was always calm, and talked down to her opponents. Even in her fight with Duff, she was condescending to him and was able to outwit him easily (plus, her ability to manipulate opponents Yoki was pretty effective). 3 Favourite quote? There are many quotes I liked. I think Clare’s line of “There’s no need to tell you, it’s going to be forgotten name soon anyways.” In relation to her own name would be my favourite one. It immediately sets the ‘Claymores’ out as not being liked or actually respected by the humans they are protecting, and kind of sets in the mood for the first part of the manga.

THIS IS THE RETURN OF THE LANDBOATS! Although, it it did was sail across the land to the water, just to dock for everyone to disembark. It was invincible, and sailed right through part of my army, but couldn’t harm anyone.

My friend decided to run a new Pathfinder game, and chose to limit out starting money for items (We are level 5). He suggested we buy a bunch of small magic items, and will provide us more as we go along.
I have just watched and read Claymore, and decide to make a character based off of the characters in it. I make a female tiefling slayer, and blow most of my starting money (3000 out of 4000gp) on an adamantine greatsword ( at level 5).
With the adamantine greatsword, I turned the entire constructed environment into destructible world. And bypass all of the enemies DR.
The GM was not pleased.

I went to the Calgary live event tonight. I very quickly noticed that the camera on my phone was not going to work at all well. That didn’t stop me from taking pictures of Sandow though, even if they are pretty terrible. And he won! Well, Curtis Axel did. I was surprised they beat the Ascension. And I became a Kevin Owens fan. I did not care about him until his promo and match tonight.

I set the forest on fire. Mistakes were made.
At least I finally managed to build a walled in base this time (with a little help from a predone fence). PZ doesn’t give a grace period to collect supplied and gear anymore.

I’ll admit, I never was interested in wrestling for most of my life. I never watched anything in the attitude era until recently. I had zero interest in watching wrestling because it was ‘fake’. At that time, I had no idea why someone would watch a fake combatant sport. Then this happened.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uemGoGJaoa0
My father had this on when I was staying at his house for a night. I was not interested in the least until I heard the theme and ‘the self professed intellectual savior of the masses’. I was intrigued, and started watching. This is not my favourite moment of him or anything, but it was enough to get me to start watching specifically Damien Sandow, then wrestling in general. Since then, I have 2 of his shirts (I>U and I think therefore...) and the Bathrobe with ‘You’re Welcome’ on the back.
I think part of the reason I liked Sandow so much is not only his persona, but the fact that he did different things. He didn’t do or say the same things over and over again, nor was he an invincible monster(which I hate). As I get tired of seeing the same thing day in and day out, this was more than enough to keep my interest in him. Even though he no longer has the intellectual savior persona anymore, Damien Sandow is still the one I always pull for.

I find it tragic how they still have Damien Sandow as Macho Mandow. He went from being actually cheered to no one caring, and not being on TV. He’s had a couple of superstars matches, but nothing since Payback. Not that the crowd cared when they watched those matches any ways.
I guess I am protective about how well my favourite wrestler is booked. I guess I can’t be too mad, since there is no way I could run a wrestling business.

Unfortunately, Metro 2033 redux is kind of glitchy on my computer. When the cart crashed, my character got suspended in this blue backdrop. It almost happened again later too.
I like the game. It kind of plays like The Last of Us, though not quite as limiting on ammo. Story isn’t as good either.

So, I tried to set a house on fire. It took 9 hours instead of a couple minutes like in the older versions. The spreading fire nearly got my safe house too (the brick house in the bottom right of the first picture). I can’t believe it took 3 days for the fire to burn out.

I guess that is what I get for wandering in the dark. A far cry from when I became self-sustaining in a fortress. I don’t believe I have ever dropped dead from the infection though. I died right in the middle of preparing for a last stand.
I might try and make journal based on how my events went for a day in game with my new character though.

Someday, I’ll get around to selling some of this stuff. Also, the Atomic Wrangler is not the nicest base of operations. Too many loading screens for my laziness.
