the vigilantes fought a giant hydra eel, kept little meta girl Carna safe, met an annoying conspiracy theorist vigilante that can copy powers, and found DRUGS being called candy (it's a good thing Carna doesn't like grape flavor).

last night's Masks game was fun. Two player characters impromptu exchanged phone numbers. And then immediately after being fired by her mentor, one came crying to the other on the phone

bit from the Halloween issue of the MASKS game I'm running. they were both dressed up as Ghostface but I didn't feel like drawing the mask even though it was the whole point!! the delinquent (westley) got buried in a coffin for a halloween game called Coffin King, but the jocks left him in there, then the nerd/doomed (adrian) went through a teleportation portal by accident and ended up trapped in the coffin with him, so we ended up with two ghostfaces in a coffin. BUT I DON'T WANNA DRAW THE GHOSTFACE MASKS!!

HEAVY METAL (real name Otto Teuling) is a metahuman with the ability to turn himself and anything, or anyone, he touches into metal. He debuted as a superhero in Overlook City a couple years ago. He used to be the lead of the popular alt rock band Cold Iron, and released two albums, Tarnish and Patina. After a show on tour went wrong, the audience turning violent, he quit the band and turned up in Overlook as a superhero about a year later. His past popularity, especially with teenagers, has shot him up in the supe rankings, despite him seeming unenthused about the job. Parents, however, think he's a bad influence, and many of his former fans now consider him a sellout.

left is Bionic (formerly The Bionic Man, formerly The Bionic Boy), a superhero from the 60s that still looks like a kid because he got his mangled body augmented with robot parts after an incident way back when. he's an awkward dude. the PCs saved him when they first came together from a giant cockroach

right is Carna, a meta girl with electricity powers they met in an arcade who brought them to meet her friend "Bella V," who turned out to be a giant electric eel living in an abandoned subway tunnel (named after an old sign reading Bell Ave). sometimes a few strands of hair got that static electricity float.
