The best part about Wormwood is that he’s not just a wedding planner with evil ambitions on the side or an evil guy with a day job.
He’s fully a wedding planner and fully an evil villain. I truly believe if he did take over a country he’d still be planning over the top wedding ceremonies for the nobles.

One of the best things about Madalena is she keeps hanging around and making at least some connection with a bunch of other villain characters. And they all at some point go “Well yeah, we’re bad but you wouldn’t cross this line” and she’s already leapt over it and is sprinting to the next one.

I'm generally of the opinion that trying to resurrect prematurely cancelled shows is like necromancy—odds are they'll come back wrong.
Except for Galavant. Any Galavant revivial will be funnier the longer it stayed cancelled.

While it's important acknowledge the Doylist explanation for things when there is one, I find that much of the fun of media analysis is what I call the Watsonian Extreme, to take in-universe ideas and their explanations to their logical conclusions even and especially when those things were definitely not Doyle-intended. As such, if I can construct an elaborate, ridiculous, convoluted, yet canon-compliant Watsonian explanation for a problem for which there is already an obvious Doylist rationale, I will do that and I will run with it. There are no retcons or out-of-universe explanations to the characters experiencing these events; harmonize and reconcile the contradictory elements of this universe however you must. Use a blunt hammer if you have to. See what dented thing you make.

WARNING! do NOT kiss lizards!
the united states center for disease control and prevention (CDC) has issued a warning against cuddling and smooching bearded dragons due to an outbreak of salmonella associated with pet reptiles. even healthy and clean looking bearded dragons can be carrying salmonella in their droppings, which easily spreads to their body, and then leaves salmonella germs anywhere they touch or roam. those contaminated poop germs can then infect humans.
the CDC advises against reptiles as pets for those under 5 years old or above 65 years old, and anyone with a weakened immune system.
to reduce chance of infection: do not eat or drink near a bearded dragon. make sure to wash hands every single time after touching a bearded dragon. keep reptiles away from young children and places where food and drink are prepared or consumed. keep your reptile's enclosure clean, but do NOT clean supplies in the kitchen or anywhere food is eaten or prepared.
people taking stomach acid reducers are more likely to be infected with salmonella.
a salmonella infection can cause painful long-term disability. while most salmonella infections do not require antibiotics, salmonella germs are developing antibiotic resistance and severe infections are becoming more difficult to treat. some of the salmonella germs involved in this outbreak are resistant to ciprofloxacin, a type of antibiotic used in the treatment of salmonella.
taking ciprofloxacin can also cause painful long-term disability, by the way. the safest option is to avoid salmonella altogether, and to stay informed about antibiotic safety. seriously, cipro can fuck you up BAD.

Wait... I was reading a past post. It said that the pirates in Galavant were implied to be trans, how? I don't remember that. If so, that's AWESOME.
Ok, so for one thing the pirate captain said Galavant knew him from Lillith’s Fair, on the Island of Lesbos. Lillith’s Fair was a music festival consisting solely of female solo artists and female-led bands. Lesbos is where the term lesbian comes from. So those two places are heavily related to female spaces.
And then he followed up with: “Of course, I looked a little different back then.” And I was like, all right, he’s trans. Because that line is usually followed by ‘I used to go by [dead name], remember me?’ Idc that he then said it’s because he used to have fewer wrinkles, he’s trans. Probably some of his other men, too.
And that’s why the pirates need those girl supplies.

do you know how old all of the characters are supposed to be?
Isabella, Gwynne, and Vincenzo are all stated to be 25 in season two, so I think the majority of the characters are supposed to be around that age. i might be wrong, but i’m pretty sure those three are the only ones with canon ages.
i think Roberta’s a bit older than the rest of them because she’s supposed to be seven (?) years younger than Richard (who i’m assuming is the same age as Gareth). Timothy Omundson (Richard) and Vinnie Jones (Gareth) were in their late forties/early fifties when they were in Galavant, so i’m guessing their characters are also in their forties, which would place Roberta somewhere in her mid-to-late thirties.
i think Gal, Izzy, Sid, Madalena, Jester, Gwynne, and Vincenzo are all supposed to be in their mid-twenties to early thirties. Roberta is in her mid-to-late thirties, and Richard and Gareth are in their forties.

Just for the people new to this blog
Galavant threw his sword away in the church in episode one.
Then, Galavant said he could fight Gareth to an even draw.
Galavant said Richard could send all his men to help fight against him.
Galavant would have died.
If you can fight one man to an even draw - even assuming you meant that you fight him to that point while you are unarmed and the other man is not - and you take on any other opponent after that... you gonna die.
‘Even draw’ means fighting someone until you are both unable to fight. As in, Galavant wouldn’t have been able to take on more opponents.
He’d have died.
Look at Madalena’s worried face during that scene. She knew he’d have died.
While you are re-watching, look at how happy she looked that Gal had come to rescue her. Then look at her face fall while he was making his speech.
She never married Richard (just) for the money, she was saving her boyfriend’s life.
