The Days of Knights - Newark Delaware
This is basically the store that made me and my spouse want to start tracking our store visits, we had gone to this store years ago and remembered it fondly but couldn't for the life of us remember the name or place! Thankfully after some google searching we found it again!
This place is amazing! It's located on a really nice street in Newark, Delaware, and the store itself is huge. I was unable to capture it's enormity in pictures. They've got new board games, old board games, and everything in between. We found a ton of stuff to buy and some of it was on sale too!
The staff was great too. They greeted us when we came in, asked if we needed help after the like 30 min mark of browsing, and were very nice to us during ringing us out. We even hung around and chatted and played their Avengers Pinball machine.
As stated before their selection of board games was great. They had tons of old and new games with almost every expansion you could think of. We even got an expansion to the Lord of the Rings board game (the Reiner Knizia one) which are really hard to find. The organization isn't really there (or at least I couldn't really figure it out) so it might be hard for a quick trip in to see what they got. This wasn't too big a deal for me and my spouse as we were glad to spend an hour+ in the store. They do also have a selection of mini games stuff like Warhammer and they have a HUGE selection of tabletop RPG manuals and other accessories, like probably the biggest selection I've ever seen. It's a very worthwhile trip if you're a D&D fan. They also have a nice selection of used board games as well which is where we got some amazing deals on some very lightly used board game (we got home and opened them up and one hadn't even had it's components punched out yet!)
The store is pretty cramped for anyone who may have issues with that. It's hard for people to pass one another in the walkways there. It wasn't a problem for me and my spouse but could be for others. It does really speak for how much this store has in it though.
Overall this is a great stop that we'll be making WAY more often now. Can't wait for our next visit!
Footer note: Sinclair's two doors down has a GREAT breakfast and a few doors down in the other direction was Duck Donuts which smelled delicious although we didn't get a chance to eat there.
