I have learned how to live, how to be in the world and of the world, and not just to stand aside and watch. And I will never, never again run away from life. Or from love, either.

“We loved Alice, too, you know, in our own way. Even Janet did. And we thought we’d lost you as well as her.” - Eliot, ‘The Magician King’ by Lev Grossman
The dynamic of friendship between Alice, Eliot, and Janet (Margo) in the books differs more positively than the tv show. In the books, Alice is her own girl, and is not there to be sacrificed. She is an accepted member of the friendship group and isn’t pushed into a sexual relationship with Quentin to defeat the Beast. She is central to the main plot and, despite Janet and Eliot still having sex with Quentin, she is a greatly appreciated character by the rest. After she died, both Janet and Eliot mourn her as a beloved friend, which is contrary to the tv show.
#I'm wishing only bad things on the TV writers (:#all my love to the books (even with it's own flaws) 🖤
