A humble fool trying to make ends meet. Hobbyist artist, part time writer. Considering commisions! My specialties are characters, mugshots, and recently have dipped into Pokémon/Digimon art!
Now it's personal.
Once the gang managed to locate Wrath's location, in the quietest ghost town imaginable, it all clicked; Luiza is back home to confront the past.
And Rai is more than happy to host this homecoming.
Subjecting your weapon partners to your murderous wavelength might not be your wisest move, conductor, but it's definitely your bravest.
Unfiltered madness at the sound of the classic Shostakovich String Quartet no. 8 in C minor.
Spoilers, it will never happen again. Pinky promise—
A small snippet into certain characters relationships and vibes, starting out with these weirdoes!
Huskies sometimes have this maniac look to their crystal clear eyes, yet are some of the most loyal companions.
Hisami is just like that; she might look like she despises you, when really, she does—unless you're Luiza.
Full time chemist, part time jerk. His methods to researching mixed genes is dubious at best -- he also needs to stop turning his troubled students into animals as punishment.
On the flip side! Mr. Hyde, their P.E. teacher, is perhaps the kindest staff member after principal Shin herself. He will be there to support his class even as they grapple with daily struggles in campus.
Two sides of the same coin. What a lovely conundrum.
Literally cannot emphasize enough that my #1 writing advice is to stop being afraid. Stop being afraid of sounding too cringe, or too stupid, or too horrifying, or too horny, or too weird, or too much, or too little, or too you. You need to put your entire pussy into your art. Sure, it won't be to everyone's tastes, but if you keep yourself to the blandest tamest safest roads possible you will be of no one's tastes, not even yours.
the way you use screen tones is really nice and the eyes and compliments your lineart wonderfully :)
do you have any tips on how you use it or is it just whatever looks good?
Thank you!! For screen tones, I have a separated png for both hard and soft screen tones. I pull the soft up usually for brunettes (Hisami, Ann) and play a bit with the gradient tones on red hair (Luiza).
I spare screen tones usually for parts where it'd normally be colored, so it's more focused on grey scales rather than pure black and white. It adds more depth to the pages and looks a lot more pleasant, besides highlighting/adding emphasis to parts of the panel or character!
This is still something I struggle with, but I like to try making different eye shapes for different characters to better encapsulate their personality (and avoid same face syndrome!)
Taku's an unstable multi-form Demon Weapon. Luiza, an unnerving utility Meister. In the climax of a fight against the byproducts of Eibon's book, this unlikely match brought some good beats, synchronizing over music.
He shall be the drums to the conductor. A soul eater OC sketch!
While Taku's overall appearance is always more feminine, he's been a lot more soft-looking for a while. As for Luiza, who'd rather fashion herself like a punk, this is quite the change.
that's what too much shoujo does to you. Snap out of it while you can, you two!
A bystander-turned-protagonist, Ann went from hearing the horrors from Hisami to witnessing both her roommate and their Meister return from missions quite literally trashed.
Eventually, she stepped up; it was by the third mission that Ann realized she had been adopted into the team. By then, it was too late to turn back.
Easily the observant, the brains to her Meister's brawl, Hisami made a great addition to the party of three, but also forced Luiza into taking up swordsmanship lessons. As a scissor blade weapon, she provides every coverage a great sword does...
But splitting the blades for duel-wielding might bring out the more chaotic side of her... For better or for worse.
