Can't believe I'm saying this but the weather is slowly changing in Gaza again and it rained quite heavily this week. Knowing this while literally 90% of Gaza's population has been displaced, many living in makeshift tents, is a terrifying thought. Since last week's rain, many people are left without a place to stay and their belongings destroyed by the rain.

The cost of tents is between $700 and $800 which is beyond practically everyone in Gaza right now. However, the Sameer Project are crowdfunding and providing these families with tents. You can help out by either donating and/or sharing their initiative with your friends and community members.

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. The actual tuition goal is now $19k, accounting for the GFM fees (approx $750) and $250 that the campaign manager needs to transfer the money. This goal may need to be increased slightly if the GFM fees come out higher than anticipated.

Reema contacted her school for an extension. As of writing this, they haven't replied.

Update Sep 14: Reema negotiated with the university and $18k is the minimum they'll accept for her tuition. GFM will take a cut and she still needs more funds for schooling, so the actual goal is more than $18k.

Reema is the cousin of @mohamedabushaban06 (source). A few days ago, I made an emergency promotion to get Mohammed registered for college abroad here (It's not urgent anymore but he can still use support).

She's a 4th (out of 5) year pharmaceutical student currently studying abroad in Egypt after her school in Gaza was destroyed. Pharmacy school is difficult but she has a high average.

She needs to complete her goal of $20,000 CAD by her deadline for university registration, which is Sep 18 in Egypt's timezone. To be safe, I've set this at 12am. As of posting this, she has just under 281 hours (12 days) to reach her goal.

Despite being vetted, her campaign is moving very slowly and she goes days without donations.

As of writing this, she'd need to raise about $375 CAD each day.

Hello all I am Doaa Jad Al Haq from Gaza I studied a diploma in fashion design and clothing manufacturing at the Palestine Technical College in Deir al-Balah and graduated with a very good grade. I was first in my class during the two years. I worked for a year in a center affiliated with UNRWA, and after that I created my own project and began Palestinian agricultural hand embroidery, which is part of the Palestinian heritage. I embroidered on clothes and bags, then After that, I focused more on making bags in all their forms. I embroidered the bag with different drawings, shapes, and colors, then I completely detailed it. I had my own workshop. Unfortunately, everything was gone from the beginning of October 7, so the occupation destroyed the place where I was working, and by destroying my house, I had nothing left, and during the last four months, I borrowed money from a friend to leave Gaza with my autistic child. The situation was very bad for him and for all of us. I left behind my husband and my family. Now, with your help and generosity, I hope that you will help me buy a machine and the necessary tools to start my project again in Egypt so that I can treat my child and help my family.
