Han flipped his sunglasses up and frowned. He’d thought an afternoon at one of the only magical inns he could find with a pool would be relaxing, but he hadn’t counted on the kids constantly screaming. Them he could ignore. His sun being blocked by someone else putting up an umbrella? That was crossing a line.
“Excuse me,” he said, sitting up. “Do you might? You could go pretty much anywhere else in the whole place, just not right in that exact spot.” He kept a smile on his face, hoping they would take it as gentle rubbing and not the start of a fight. He was here to relax, not argue over stupid things.

When he’d decided to come to England to look for his sister, Oskar imagined that he’d actually spend time looking for her. Instead, he was taking this time to actually relax. He’d gone from school to the job in a short period of time that he never got the time to actually relax or think about what he wanted. All of that was thought for him. In England, it seemed like the world was his. He could figure out what he wanted without his parents around to influence him. Of course, he know that would only last until he could stop coming up with excuses.
“Oh. Sorry.” He’d been trying to find a spot without a bunch of screaming children around. That seemed almost impossible. “Do people here just let their children act like this in public?”

“Just out of curiosity, how long do you think a howler lasts before it explodes? And if, hypothetically, that howler was in someone’s nice new bag, would it ruin the whole thing if it catches alight?” Adelaide asked, only partially joking. “And before you ask, yes, I am absolutely too old for howlers, but try telling that to my grandmother. Told her I wasn’t going on a second date with a guy she’d set me up with, and truly, you’d think it was the end of the world.”

Oskar didn’t know much about Howlers. He’d never gotten one. If he ever did something wrong, it was taken care behind closed doors. Which probably wasn’t great, but he’d never been the one to push the rules. “I would assume it would ruin the bag, yes.” He’d only seen a few howlers in his life. “Just tell her that you found someone else. Is it really that big of a deal to her?”

Oskar would never have been allowed to step foot in a shop like this if he was home. HIs dad would have forbidden it. Though it probably would have never crossed his mind that a shop like this existed. The muggle apothecary shop was clearly different than an actual wizard one. Looking at rows of different ingredients, he wondered what they were used for. The only reason he’d found this shop was because he’d been exploring muggle London, a place that was... well intriguing to say the least. Pausing as he reached a different aisle, he once again wondered at why there were crystals completely lining the shelves of half this aisle.
