Cultural Lookbook - Thai

There are not enough cultural items in the Sims 4. It is by far the most diverse of all the sims games, but we need way more of it! Since I’ve joined the dark side and started downloading custom content, I’ve been amazed with what players have been able to create.

Next up in my cultural lookbook series is traditional Thai clothing. While researching/downloading cc, I learned traditional Thai clothing is called chut thai and it literally means “Thai outfit”.

Chut thai for women usually consists of a pha nung or a chong kraben (long strip of cloth is wrapped around the waist and reaching below the knees), a blouse, and a sabai (shawl-like garment, or breast cloth).

a bit random, but i guess the common theme here is micro bangs. suitable for your vampires and darkly-inclined simmies (or whoever really). most of these were wips from last year and the way i make hairs has changed a bit since, but thought i'd still share them.

still not sure if i like render previews so i included CAS pics anyway. renders are nice looking but they don’t accurately preview how CC looks in-game and they can take a long time, at least on my PC still running on 2017 hardware. my GPU is decent but everything else, not so much. anyway...

Salade Nicoise : Lactose Free. Salad Nicoise is a salad that originated in the French city of Nice. It is traditionally made of tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, olives and tuna, dressed with olive oil.

Gougeres With Smoked Salmon : Gougeres is French cuisine that baked savory choux pastry made of choux dough mixed with cheese. This recipe of gougeres is a topped with smoked salmon and small amount caviar.

Beef Bourguignon : Lactose Free. Beef bourguignon is a French beef stew braised in red wine and beef stock, typically flavored with carrots, onions, garlic and garnished with mushrooms.

Escargot : Lactose Free. Escargot is french dish representative edible snail dish. use the blanch snails in boiling water or use the canned snails. and fill the clean shell with a pesto made of garlic, parsley, and butter. and bake in the oven.

Opera Cake : Vegetarian-Safe. Opera cake is a French cake. It is made with layers of almond sponge cake soaked in coffee syrup, layered with ganache and coffee French buttercream, and covered in a chocolate glaze. It's name originates from its layers resembling the levels of an opera house.

Mille-Feuille : Vegetarian-Safe. Mille-Feuille is a French dessert made of puff pastry layered with pastry cream.

UPDATE 03-09-2025:

Added two new versions per request of using my recent Diana Hair's bun

Updated the mesh slightly on all versions to fix the 'bump' that the hairline had from certain angles

I adjusted all the pure black swatches to no longer have a blue undertone on all versions ▶ Since this hair uses the same/similar textures as my Sasha and Janis Hair, those have all had their black swatches update
