oscar piastri x motogp!norris!male reader

synopsis: when oscar piastri found out motorsports runs in the norris family, he was intrigued. after meeting the younger brother of his teammate, he couldn't help but feel like he found someone made for him.

smau, fluff, maybe a hint of angst... i havent wrote it yet so we'll see!

warnings: younger valentino rossi as faceclaim along with pinterest guys, sorry, but still. reader is born in idk like 2000ish just details, oscar is implied in pictures as the lighter haired one, whether blond or light brown and reader as the darker hair.

yn paused his show as he heard his phone ring from across the couch. he figured it was lando, as his brother had his flight to Suzuka soon. yn groaned as he rolled to the other side of the couch, reaching for his phone to answer.

"YN!" lando screamed before yn turned on speaker, he could only thank his tiredness for that.

"dodo, what's up?"

"i wanted to call before my flight, duhhhh. i always do." the said dodo replied like it was obvious, i mean it was.

"well i know that dodo, i was expecting it. how are you?" the younger questioned

"i'm good, tired but that's normal, when are you coming?!"

"im leaving later, if you really want me there for media i guess," he replied, unpausing his show.

"pleaseeeee i would love if you could, it could be our first media day together! and osco wants to meet you"

yn hummed at that. oscar piastri, current leader in the f1 championship, wanted to meet him. lando had shared that the piastri only learned about him a few weeks prior.

"well ill catch a flight later tonight then, dodo"

"yay, thank you junior!" the elder replied, clearly with a smile.

"for you, always. who are you flying with today?"

"i think max and maybe nico? it depends"

"you should say hi to max for me, warn him the norris brothers are together yet again."

lando laughed at that comment, "i will definitely be warning everyone"

yn smiled at his brother, "you probably should," yn could hear his brother shuffling on the other side, he'd clearly stood from his position, and left his phone. after a moment yn was met with the familiar voice of max verstappen.

"'ello, yn," yn couldn't help but grin at the world champion, "hi, maxie. heard you're flying with lando today?"

max laughed, "more like he's flying with me, in my jet." yn had to laugh at his words, especially as he heard lando groan in the background. the conversation between the three continued throw lando and max getting on their plane, yn getting up to make lunch, and the greeting of nico hulkenburg before lando complained about his phone being at 10 percent.

"junior i dont wanna hang up," lando complained

"well you're the one complaining, and i need to book a flight so, this will be our farewell for today, i think."

lando just sighed and hummed in acceptance, "alright, i guesss. bye kid-" "im 3 years younger." "say bye max, alex!" as the farewells were bid, yn had to lay in bed to take a break, he loved his brother with his entire heart but hours on a phone call was not for the weak.

booking a flight for suzuka was easy when he basically had a private jet himself. it was just a matter of another phone call away. so he'd do it after he ate dinner, whatever it was going to end up being.

finding mercedes rookie kimi antonelli was probably the best thing yn had done in the day so far. he was like a baby, but also he spoke italian, and that allowed yn to thrive after his many years in Italy.

the only thing yn was possibly missing out on was meeting the one and only oscar piastri, also what yn would call one of the most attractive men on the grid, but don't tell lando OR oscar that. it would be his and kimi's secret, only because it slipped out.

meeting kimi antonelli meant meeting ollie bearman and george russell, in that order. yn found that as welcoming as ollie bearman was, he and kimi together had the same energy that he and lando did, and that both intrigued him and terrified him. but either way, he and ollie had a conversation that went along the lines of:

"oh my gosh you're yn." "that i am" "you're so cool?" "that sounded like a question?" "no, no no it definitely wasn't, you are so cool." "you're cool too."

then he turned to kimi and whispered "oh my god kimi did you hear that? THE yn norris just called me cool im going to freak out" and yn just had to pretend he didn't hear that, despite the smile that was growing on his face. he may have been just a few years older, but he remembered when he was just like this.

after the totally not freak out that occured, ollie, kimi and yn wandered and did what you do on media day, media! when they suddenly ran into george russell, the other mercedes driver. now, yn knew him all too well. they'd met when yn tried karting, and stayed in touch mostly because lando and george were like 2 of 3 pees in a pod, the third being alex albon.

as close as yn and george were, yn was a max fan since and george was clearly the opposite, so that caused a little tension between george and him, but nothing that would be the focus of conversation at the moment.

"yn." "hello george, how are you?" "i'm good, are you excited to be here this weekend?" "well of course, its been a while since i was here for an f1 race, not that the last time was the greatest of memories." his host family in italy thought taking him to suzuka in 2014 would be a good idea, it was in theory. "oh, of course, i'm sorry." "its fine, how is media day?" "a lot." "isn't it always? are you excited for the race?" "aren't i always?"

yn just hummed as a reply, turning to talk to a fan who looked to be on the verge of tears, probably especially seeing both mercedes drivers, although they looked to be a redbull fan.

after a bit of talking and walking, yn excused himself to find his brother, or perhaps that fellow driver of his. now surely yn wouldn't be allowed to wander the place without a driver or someone from a team, if it weren't for him being a mclaren partner and also the fia realizing he knew the place just as well as anyone else.

media day always was a bit fun, but it always became more fun when you find exactly who you're looking for. in this case for yn, oscar piastri. well they didnt exactly find each other, more like.. ran into each other.

"oh! im sorry." yn said steadying himself from the stumble, and looking down at who he ran into.

"oh. oscar, hello."

oscar didn't seem to have his voice until he blinked and cleared his throat, "yn, this is quite the meeting," he just got a nod in response. how awkward.

"hmm, so you're the famous oscar piastri of mclaren?" "and you're the famous norris brother?" "yes, it really is nice to meet you" oscar replied with a nod and shake of hands.

yn really hoped he wasn't as red as oscar looked right now, he couldn't dare admitting to finding the australian attractive on their first meeting.

"aahh, uh are you looking for lando?" yn had to clear his throat to answer, "well to be honest, my goal was to find either lando or you, so it looks as though i accomplished one thing i was hoping to."

if oscar could get more red, he did. "oh, well that's good. uh, let's take a walk?" yn let a hum out in reply and began walking, letting oscar catch up.

"you're very intriguing, oscar" "oh? am i?" "yes, not only your skills but just you as a person. lando always says great things, and while thats not rare, how constantly he does is." "oh" it looked like oscar looked down "well i hope that hasn't spoiled our meeting?" "oh, of course not. it always takes meeting a person to get to know them."

the two walked in a bit of awkward silence, before oscar blurted something out, he clearly didn't mean to.

"you're really pretty." him saying this made him stop and turn around, likely to hide his face.

with oscar turned around, it gave yn the perfect chance to hide his own face, not wanting to show the bright red it felt like he was.

"ah.. i cant lie, you are too." as if that wasn't enough, "i wasn't exactly expecting to admit that in our first few minutes of meeting."

luckily for the two, lando norris saves the day and interrupts whatever is happening!

"hey, you muppets! oscar, why are you stealing my brother?" "well it wasn't intentionally, yknow."

"details, details," lando waves off as he sneakily looks to yn, as if ready to pounce. and pounce he does, right onto the back of his brother.

"ughhh lando what are you doing" "UH? i have all the right to say hello to my favorite little bother." yn could only murmur back with a grin on his face, "I'm your only little brother" a moment of silence "and flo does not count!" "mmmhmmmmm suree little brother of mine. allow me to steal you away from osco?"

yn looks over at oscar, although afraid hes still red, tilts his head to question if oscar would care.

"ah, uhm you go ahead and take him if you need to, lando." "goodie! farewell osco, hellooooo yn!"

yn waved goodbye at oscar as he was forced to walk with lando still on his back. yn could only hope he'd run into oscar again in the future, but not have it go as awkwardly as their first encounter did.

he didn't end up seeing oscar alone again the rest of the weekend, whether that was a blessing or not, he'd never know.

oscar: oh, i will be in monaco. if you wish to, then im free all week up to wednesday, i've got no team meetings. yn: amazing! ill send you the details then, it's a date! oscar: whAT?

yn couldn't help but freak out at what he had done. he had invited the oscar paistri on a date... after their first encounter could yn really hope it'd go well? he'd have to.

he felt like he needed to slam his head in a pillow and scream like he was a teenager again, so he did the logical thing and did just that! awkward thing is that the one and only lando norris happened to walk into the apartment room as it was happening.

"uhm, yn?" "'ando. hi." he spoke into the pillow "what are you doing??" "i asked oscar if we could hang out and when he said yes i told him it was a date." "WHAT?" "yep"

a quick moment of silence was welcomed, soft music playing in the background making it comfortable, other than the eyes yn could feel on the back of his head.

"you're not kidding?" "why would i kid about that." "yAY!" .... "yay???" "well of course! i only took you from oscar on thursday because i saw and heard everything."

well that certainly got yn to sit up and face his brother.

"and you couldn't have told me that?!" "well of course not it was too funny." "i'll show you funny," yn grinned as he grabbed the pillow he was previously laying into, "wait wait yn no please- i just did my hair- NO-"

what went on in the rest of the time was just history now, as yn and lando had quickly finished when they realized max (verstappen) was coming over for dinner. they'd forgotten the whole reason lando even left was to pick up some groceries, so they got to work after a small pillow beating.
