Jamie had just sat down with a cup of ginger tea, a staple in his diet ever since he got pregnant since it helped with the nausea when he couldn't use the things Magnus gave him. He noticed a girl nodding off into her school work drop her book and smack her cheeks. "Are you alright? Maybe a break would help?"

Briar had clearly gotten to a boring passage in her book... or perhaps was too tired to be reading at all, because she caught herself nodding off for a fourth time in the last few minutes. She dropped the book on the cafe table, slapping her cheeks to wake up a bit.

Jamie could feel the moment that Felix had an epiphany, their bond flooding with emotions that mingled with his own and became almost overwhelming in the most beautiful way possible. He returned Felix's kiss with one of his own, the emotions making his eyes water, his pregnancy hormones only adding to it and a few tears falling down his cheeks as Felix trembled against him.

Jamie reached up to caress Felix's cheek, a dimpled smile that lit up his face despite his tears. He didn't speak, just relishing in the moment for as long as he could before kissing Felix again. "Simjangi mojeul ttaekkaji geurigo simjio geu ihuedo naneun dangsineul nomu saranghamnida." He says, slipping into his native Korean because of how emotional the moment was.

Jamie was a little nervous as he and Felix went to see Hayden and tell him about the baby. He expected Hayden to be furious since it would make both them and their Parabatai liabilities because of the distractions the pregnancy would bring. His hands were just as sweaty as his boyfriend's were as they made their way to their Head's office but he trusted Felix would take care of everything.

Jamie bit his lip, squeezing Felix's hand as Hayden's eyes seemed to burn holes in them both. He swallowed thickly as Felix shut the door and lead them inside. He could feel Felix's nerves alongside his own and their worry over how Hayden would react seemed to bleed together and Jamie couldn't tell which was which.

Jamie seemed to hold his breath when Felix told Hayden he was pregnant with their child. The inside of his cheek would surely be bleeding by the end of the meeting with the way he had been chewing on his because of his nerves. Hayden's silence didn't help and he could feel Felix's worry spike as well as Hayden seemed to size them up. He buried his face into Felix's back when he stepped in front of him to shield him from Hayden, eyes stinging with tears as he fell a little more in love with his boyfriend at the show of protectiveness. Jamie made sure to project his love to Felix but otherwise stayed silent..

Jamie nearly jumped when Hayden finally spoke, breaking his silence. He didnt realize Hayden would put him and Kwan on leave and put Felix and Bo on inactive security detail. He felt kind of bad he was taking them out of the field but he got why. "Yes, Sir. I truly am sorry for the timing of all of this.. I don't regret getting pregnant or being with Felix, though, just the timing of it all." Jamie finally says.

Jamie let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding once they left Hayden's off, giggling softly as his boyfriend pushed him against the wall. The half far kissed his boyfriend back before grinning at him. "So much better than I was imagining it would. I feel better now. And you being all protective? Super hot." He says with a giggle "I'm kinda in love with you, you know?" He flushes "It might be kind of soon to say it but... I am."

Jamie had been sleeping a lot more since Hayden put him on leave and while the tonics and oils Magnus gave him helped a lot, his stomach still rolled from time to time like now. A knock at the door made Jamie get up and his stomach rolled for a different reason when he saw now, nerves settling deep in his belly. "Thank you." He says taking the offered ginger ale and sipping it to calm his stomach. "Come in. Ill get you a chair." He says pulling out his desk chair for Bo to sit in. "What's up?" He asked.

Bo, having talked with Felix, decided it was high time he mended fences with Jamie too. He had tormented himself over his treatment of the other nephilim in the days since the party, because it felt so unlike him, and yet... he'd done and said things. He'd acted harshly towards Jamie for reasons he was not proud to admit.

So he found himself now knocking on Jamie's door, holding a glass of ginger ale as a peace offering of sorts. "Can I come in?"

Jamie had heard bits and pieces of what happened in New York but be also knew that some stories tended to be stretched or the details foggy or made up to save face. "I heard a few stories about the things that happened in New York.. I'm sorry your brother was one of the people that lost their life." Jamie offers genuinelt.

"Thank you, Alec. That means a lot." He says "We are just nervous to tell Hayden now. Hayden is kind of scary."

"Had? Did something happen? Wait. You don't have to answer that. That was kind of rude. I'm sorry." Jamie says with a slight flush of his cheeks. "But it's ok. Well I mean.... It's not but I guess I had to lose everyone and go through what I went through at the orphanage to find my true family, right?" He says giving the other shadowhunter a small smile.

"I'm happy about that. To find my soul mate and have a second chance at a family. I'm definitely not going to take it for granted." Jamie smiles.

Felix kept a tight hold of Jaime's hand as they walked down the corridor together. It was quiet in the halls. Well before patrol change. Most of the other nephilim going about doing what needed doing. But Felix knew Hayden would still be in his office. Because, really. He rarely was anywhere else. He used his free hand to rap lightly on the door. It took a long moment, and Felix bit his lip, wondering if perhaps he'd thought wrongly about the whole thing, when a muffled come in reached them through the door.

Felix peeked in. Finding Hayden seated at the desk, furiously scribbling something. A note of some sort. Perhaps a fire message or something. "Erm....excuse us...Hayden. But can we talk to you for a moment?"

The dark haired man finished a flourishing line of script before glancing up at him. He didn't look particularly sullen today. So Felix thought, perhaps he'd be more ambiable to them. "Who is we?" He asked. Evident suspicion in his voice.

Felix opened the door the rest of the way to reveal Jaime. Who stood beside him. "Jaime and I. It won't take long."

Hayden narrowed his eyes at them. Frowning at their clasped hands. But he pushed back from the desk, rising to his feet. "Alright." He agreed . "Come on in. Close the door."

Felix did so, gently tugging Jaime forward into the office with him. He shut the door behind them with a slow precision. Because he was really worried about how this would go. But he didn't want to alarm Jaime about that. Though it would have been pretty evident from the sweatiness of his palm.

He turned back to Hayden, who waited for them behind the desk. Standing poised, seemingly ready for whatever he thought they'd be hurling at him. And Felix had a moment of regret. Regret that they had to bring this to him when he'd already had so many things to concern himself with already. But. It needed to be done. It would not be a secret forever. And Jaime would show signs eventually.

"We have to tell you something." Felix said into the thick air. "Jaime..." He gestured to the half-fae beside him. Keeping his hand held firmly in his. "He's...he's pregnant. Hayden. With...with my child. Our child."

There was an answering silence. At first Felix wondered if Hayden had even heard him. But he saw the white line in his jaw, the line that indicated he was clenching it tightly. His eyes hard. Angry. Still. But he didn't say anything.

"It was an accident." Felix explained. "We didn't realize...or I didn't. That he was a carrier. His fae blood...you know." He glanced back at Jaime, smiling a little hesitantly at him. "But we're keeping it. Our baby. The two of us. We're going to have a family. And we just....we just wanted you to know."

Hayden who was still much too still for Felix's liking still said nothing. His eyes raked over Jaime. Like he was sizing him up or something. Or perhaps getting ready to engage him in a figh. Felix, took a step in front of him, blocking him from their leader's view.

"Hayden." He said, a plea in his tone. "Hayden. Say something. Please."

Hayden gave Felix an assessing look as well. Like the one he'd just given Jaime. As if he were trying to formulate a plan of action in his head. And maybe he was. Felix never knew quite what Hayden was thinking. Didn't really want to know. Usually. But right now, what he was thinking was of utmost importance to Felix. Because it was concerning Jaime. And their unborn child.

Hayden seemed to sort of, fold down in his chair. He busied himself with sifting through a drawer. Felix watched him quizzically as he did so. A little concerned. Just a little afraid. Hayden found what he was looking for, a dark blue folder. He dropped it on the desk with a scowl. The scowl was the first indication he was feeling any particular way at all, so Felix thought that was at least progress. He opened the folder with an intensity the action didn't really warrant and glared up at them. "I'm pulling Jaime off active-duty." He told them tersely. "Kwan too. This..." He jerked a blank form from his folder. He started to fill it out with furious efficiency. "Is standard practice. You...." He aimed at Felix. "And Bo. Are on security detail. Until further notice. Jaime and Kwan are on Leave. Do I make myself clear?"

Jamie nods with a sigh. "Yes, Alec has vented to me a bit. I helped talk him down the day theh argued in the infirmary. I don't really talk to Jace but you can really tell how it' messing with Alec." He says before giving her a grateful smile. "Thank you, for not judging me." He said "Hayden is a grumpy man but he's a great leader. Very thorough. He just wants what's best for us all here. His ways of going about it though are kind of all over the place. He's learning though. He's a young leader." He said before smiling "Alec is amazing. I'm glad we met."

"I think as long as he doesn't overdo it he should be fine but he was cleared to go back out in the field." Jamie nods.

Jamie nods at her statement. "That makes sense. Alec said that you were all very close. I kind of envy that, actually. I was an only child and i was raised in the Clave orphanage so I didn't really have anyone until I met Kwan, my Parabatai at the academy. He was the only family I had until I met my boyfriend, Felix, and we found out I was pregnant." He says flushing "Sorry, Please don't tell anyone only a few people know and Hayden isn't my biggest fan as it is since I'm half Fae. He was raised sort of...traditional. Thats what your brother was helping me work through, though I didn't tell Jace that."

"Nobody knew I was coming... well, yeah--when you hear from your brother that everyone has seemingly lost their minds in your absence, you sort of pick up and run to where you're needed."

"Oh yeah, I know. I'm supposed to see Magnus tomorrow to get some stuff to help my...um... Stomach issues. He just checked on me and helped me figure out what's going on." Jamie nods "Just gotta make through tonight." He shrugs.

At the Bar

"Oh no I'm not drinking tonight. It's ginger ale, my stomach isn't the best today but Kwanny insisted I come."

"Had? Did something happen? Wait. You don't have to answer that. That was kind of rude. I'm sorry." Jamie says with a slight flush of his cheeks. "But it's ok. Well I mean.... Jamie nods, subconciously rubbing his belly. "When I found out I was a carrier, I didn't really think much about it, you know? I was thirteen and still figuring myself out. I knew when I realized I was gay that I would have to be careful but with Felix.... I don't know. It's like I didn't even think about the consequences because everything just felt... Right. And now, finding out about the baby, it just all makes sense. Neither of us really had much of a family life. His... Well that's his story to tell and mine didn't want me. So I dunno it's kind of nice.... Having a family?" He mused.

"I hope you're right, about Felix. I mean I think you are." He says nibbling his bottom lip. "He really would make a great father. He's so caring and sweet, gentle. I'm glad it's him."

Jamie trusted Magnus with his baby and with him. The High Warlock gave Jamie a parental vibe and it was kind of nice having a parental figure care about him since he was to young to really remember his own parents and no one wanted him after they died. "Thank you, Magnus, for caring and taking care of me and my little one." He says softly.

Jamie giggles. "It is kinda cute." He says before watching the magic show in amazement as the blue spark landed on his nose. "David, the one that owns Silver Spoon? He's really cool. So Atti is like his son?" He asks before smiling. "I'm just glad Kwanny is happy. That's all I ever wanted for him, you know?" He smiles fondly before giggling. "That's very true." He nods.

Jamie preened at the pat on his head and being called a good boy. He had never had anyone treat him with such kindness other than Kwan and Felix, it felt nice. A light blush tinted his cheeks as he gave Magnus a dimpled smile.

Jamie giggles at the thought of Hayden spontaneously combusting. "The little vein on his neck might explode." He giggles before smiling. "I think he already found his pretty distraction. I haven't met them yet but he's pretty caught up in this cute Fae named Atti." He smiles, referring to David's adopted son. "Breaking them is more fun according to Kwan." He laughs. "But I wouldn't drink anyway. Not now that I know what I know."

Jamie preened at the pat on his head and being called a good boy. He had never had anyone treat him with such kindness other than Kwan and Felix, it felt nice. A light blush tinted his cheeks as he gave Magnus a dimpled smile.

Jamie giggles at the thought of Hayden spontaneously combusting. "The little vein on his neck might explode." He giggles before smiling. "I think he already found his pretty distraction. I haven't met them yet but he's pretty caught up in this cute Fae named Atti." He smiles, referring to David's adopted son. "Breaking them is more fun according to Kwan." He laughs. "But I wouldn't drink anyway. Not now that I know what I know."

Jamie couldn't help the little smike at Magnus's words. "You do throw a great party." He says with a small smile before flushing slightly at the warlock's mock seriousness. "I mean.... Yeah. That works too." He giggles. "I promise I'll find him and tell him."

"Can't have a pregnant shadowhunter out in the field on his watch." Jamie nods "Kwanny will probably be a little annoyed but he will be alright." He says before nodding. "I mean... Yeah that's true. It just seems like All Day Baby Sickness would make more sensr." He giggles innocently. "I am truly honored though to have your help." He said before smiling. "The drinks look tasty. If they didn't have alcohol I would drink one."

"I'm sorry, Magnus, I didn't mean for you to have to use your juju on me at your party and all that." Jamie pouts before nodding. "Yeah I just don't know how to tell him. We've been so busy we haven't been able to talk at all. I haven't even told him he's my soulmate yet." He says nibbling his bottom lip.

Jamie nods. "Yeah we've been really busy lately. And I don't know how long I'll be out in the field anyway after I tell Hayden. Either way feeling sick all the time kind of sucks. Why do they call it morning sickness anyway?" Jamie pouts before nodding. "I'll come by tomorrow. Thank you, Magnus, for everything. I'm sorry for keeping you from your party."

Jamie melted a bit at Felix's smile, his eyes watering as just that small little genuinely smile made him feel like he was one of the most important people in the world to the other nephilim. His smile grew as his boyfriend started to list off the things that needed to be done, taking responsibility so that Jamie wouldn't have much to stress about other than growing their little bean. "You're already such a great father and they aren't even here yet." Jamie says softly, a small dimpled smile playing on his lips.

When Felix fell silent, Jamie watched the emotions swirl in his boyfriend's beautiful eyes as he took it all in, could feel them through his bond and it made his eyes tear up even more. His words made a few tears roll down Jamie's cheek. "I've always wanted a family. I'm so happy it's with you, jagi." He says, wiping at his own tears as a bright smile lit up his face. "I love them too, so much." He says before leaning in to kiss the other man. "Thank you for giving me everything I've ever wanted, Lix." He sniffles.

Jamie watched the curiosity cross his boyfriend's - boyfriend, Jamie was someone's boyfriend... He was Felix's boyfriend... He couldnt get over it - face and the half Fae bit his bottom lip. "I'm a carrier. Because of my Fae side, I am a man who has the ability to conceive and carry children. Ive known since I was 13." He says "When we had sex the first time... I didn't really think about being a carrier. I just wanted you. And I hadn't been feeling well this week but I just thought it was because things have been kind of busy around here lately. It's why I didn't want to go to the party last night. A fae told me I was pregnant but I didn't believe them but then Magnus found me at the bar not drinking and he confirmed it with his magic. I'm pregnant, Lix. You're going to be a Daddy." He says "Are you... How do you feel about it?"
