Every time ao3 goes down please understand that within the few minutes just before the outage I was literally about to complete writing the entirety of my half-finished chapter, go through it again for readability's sake and editing, and then post it. So when you think about it it's actually not my fault my fic hasn't been updated in months. Ao3 was only down for an hour or two so now I can get to work you say? Oh. Well. The site being down threw off my groove. Allow me another thirteen months and I'll see if I can manifest the concept of 100 words or so.

Dont’ Like, Don’t Read

You are responsible for curating your own online experience.

If something upsets you, makes you angry or queasy or triggers you, stop reading/looking at it. Avoid things that might make you feel that way.

Learn to use the Sort and Filter function on AO3, especially the Exclude tools.

On social media, block and mute accounts / tags / words when necessary.

If you hated something, you don’t need to tell that to the creator or start pointing fingers at them publicly.

The Back button is free. Use it.

Addendum:

Yes, for this to work, creators need to tag their works accordingly, so that people know what sort of content they are about to engage with and can nope out if necessary.

I will probably make another PSA about the importance of proper tagging later.

Ship And Let Ship

Everyone else is also allowed to ship whatever they want.

You are entitled to dislike or even hate a ship. If you want to do this online, in public, don’t use the ship tags for hate posts.

If you see someone posting about a ship they like and you don’t, there is no need for you to start arguing with them in their replies / comments / QRTs / reblogs. Don’t throw your hate in their face.

Do not harass fan creators or fans for shipping something you disapprove.

All of this also applies to liking / disliking an individual character.

Let me make this VERY clear. There are NO exceptions. None.

You are entitled to dislike kinky content and think that it’s ”weird”.

Don’t kink shame or judge people based on their kinks.

This goes both ways: your kink is not someone else’s kink, so don’t push it onto those who are not into it.

Focus on the things you like instead of the things you hate.

Create and unite instead of destroying and dividing.

Don’t harass real people over fictional things.

Stop stirring up petty drama just to get some attention on social media.

Stop trying to ”win”. Fandom is not a competition.

Remember that your own experiences aren’t universally shared. Your perception of things can differ from someone else’s, but that doesn’t mean either of you is necessarily wrong.

Got a bit farther and spent a lot of time in the sky. Your ikran gets a major overhaul in this. The armor is no longer just aesthetic but actually protects, allowing you to craft gear and treats for buffs for it. There's an entire new skill tree just for your ikran. Everything you do with it: crafting gear and getting the skills; adds to your power level. You also get a mounted crossbow specifically for air combat.

The world continues to be gorgeous. Unfortunately (for me) it's more of the clouded forest. (Just like how the last was more of the plains). As beautiful as it is, that section makes me anxious. It's my least explored area and I struggle the most there. I find the animals the hardest to hunt and there's so many thanators in that area. So if you like Clouded Forest you'll like this. Im hoping that the focus of air stuff minimizes my chances of encountering more thanators.

something I think we all know about fanfic, but don’t talk about because it would hurt writers feelings is that some fics are like fast food. I mean this as a compliment. I don’t always want to sit down for a six course meal that will be a flavor experience. Sometimes I just wanna dip some fries in a frosty. Sometimes I want something homecooked and delicious and super niche, but super comforting. Sometimes I want to eat an entire dark chocolate cheesecake in one sitting even though I know Its gonna make me sick. Just. holy crap, y’all. Sometimes I don’t even want fast food, I just want to eat an entire bag of chips. and yeah, I’m ashamed of myself afterwards, but at the time it was exactly what I wanted. So, no, we’re never going to say to our fanfic writers that we consider their writing to be the equivalent of a midnight run to taco bell - and we shouldn’t, feelings would be hurt by that. But writers, please, please, please, remember this. You don’t need to create a six course meal if you don’t want to. You don’t have to make something complex and homemade if you don’t want to. You don’t even have to finish cooking it - because someone will be thrilled that you brought a bowl of cookie dough and a spoon, because they cannot even consider sitting down and having a proper meal right now. It’s okay writers, whatever you decided to make. Someone was happy to have it. You gave them what they needed. You made them happy. You did good.

I've started the second DLC, The Secret of the Spires. From the start I'm a bit worried, cause the dlc starts at level 25 and I seem to be stuck at 24. I started it anyways with the hope that they'll be things there that I can use to raise my level. But that's really the only problem I have at the moment. This dlc has an air of mystery to it, focusing on a subgroup of the Kame'tire that left after the Sarentu were killed. Having become Warriors more then healers in that time, they are aggressively holding of the RDA in the area. There's heavy investment in flying and your ikran in this one, with new crafting dedicated to it.

I'm writing silly little stories. I'm not caring about realism or only focusing on canon. I've already heavily changed canon in my canon divergent au fanfic. If you're not saying anything nice, go away. Click the back button. Stop reading the novel-length fic I'm writing, in my free time, just to be critical.

I don't need my silly goofy funtime to be criticized, thanks, I have enough Adult ResponsibilitiesTM that involve being criticized, but I'm paid for those.
