Finding That Perfect Fanfic

So after experiencing some of the toxicity of some areas of the Fandom I choose to start creating my own spaces for authors to promote their fics and readers to find their fics. I've created three reddit communities dedicated to helping readers/writers/artists find a safe place and not having to worry about negativity. Some may say this will stifle speech or that holy grail of concrit, but honestly, if you want to be negative, there are a million other places. So I invite you to four different positivity-orientated communities where bashing will not be tolerated. R/Sirimione is a subreddit dedicated to Hermione and Sirius. I have also started building a resource to find fics by creating a Sirimione Directory of fics by category. Its still being worked out and I'd appreciate any help I could get making it better if you want to join up and discuss Sirimione fanfics!

R/HermioneAndHarry is a subreddit dedicated to Hermione and Harry. I have a resource to find fics by creating a Harmony Directory of fics by category. Its quite extensive as this Directory has the most work into by me and I'm most familiar with this ship as it is my OTP. R/JilyFanfics is a subreddit dedicated to Jily focused fanfics. I have a resource to find fics by creating a Jily Directory of fics by category. Its still being worked out and I'd appreciate any help I could get making it better if you want to join up and discuss Jily fanfics!

R/MaraudersFanfics For discussing fanfics with Marauders Era characters as the main POV or main love interest. Lastly, I have a multiship discord with the same philosophy. All ships are welcome and no bashing of genres or restrictions on dead dove etc.

After a year of reading amazing stories and falling in love with the creative works of a few authors on AO3. I wish there was a way to send them something as a thank you. Be it a free coffee or something they need. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I just feel Kodus once on a story, at times is not enough of a thank you.

Ginny was so excited for the Christmas party that would be taking place at her house with the Potters. She tried to help her mum with cooking but, apparently, she was too young! Six years old isn’t that young!

Ron was excited to see Harry and Ginny was as well. She thought Harry was very fun!

When she heard a knock at the door, she ran to it before anyone else and opened the door.

She saw Harry first in his black jacket and glasses that he just got. He smiled brightly when he saw Ginny. His parents were standing behind him, holding presents in their arms.

“Oh, hello, you’re finally here!” Ginny’s mum came to the door and beckoned them inside.

“Yeah, sorry about the lateness,” Mrs. Potter said as she hugged Ginny’s mum.

“Oh, no, it’s no big deal!”

Harry went to hug Ron and handed him his present. Ron almost opened it, but Mum stopped him and told him to open it later.

Harry then came to Ginny and gave her her present. “Here you go, Gin!” On top of the wrapped present was a rose that Ginny found absolutely beautiful.

Ginny gasped and held the rose in her hands. “Thank you, Harry!” She put the gift down and wrapped Harry in hug. “You’re the best!”

When she let him go, Ron suggested they all go upstairs and they did, right after their mothers told them to be careful. They’ve had a lot of incidents while playing.

Ginny kept the rose in her hand the entire time, refusing to put it down once.

“You’re gonna drop it while running around!” Ron told her.

“No, it's mine! Harry gave it to me!”

“Okay, here, give me the rose,” Harry said, stretching his hand out to her. Ginny hesitates, but she gives it to him anyway.

He reached up and put the flower in her hair. “There! Now you can keep it, but still play!”

That thing did not come out of her hair until she fell asleep and her mum had to take it off carefully so she wouldn’t wake up.

Sunset Written for @hinnymicrofic, november prompt 10: Hair

Harry watched her in silence. The beams of the sunset warmed the freckles on her bare shoulder. It made her hair have a lovely warm colour, even more so than usual. Her hair was so long; it was perfect to run his hands through.

The sun turned her eyes a golden brown as she watched it set.

“We should watch sunsets more often,” he suggested.

She looked at him teasingly. “Are you sure? Because I don’t think you’ve watched the sun for very long.” Her face neared his. “You seem awfully distracted.”

“I thought I am watching the sun,” he mumbled, his eyes remaining trained on her.

The blush on her cheeks darkened. “I’d tell you that you need glasses, but you’ve already got those.”

“Probably need new ones.” He grinned, playing along.

She nodded, taking his hand and entangling their fingers. “So more sunset watching?”

“I really enjoy it.”

She chuckled. “Me too.”

Set after COS. See how Harry Potter's story will change, with Ginny being Sorted into Slytherin. A Ginny who is not going to be a victim, and a Harry who realises those closest to him may not have his best interests at heart.

“And I think you’ve already got yours, so—” Her voice shakes; the back of his hand is caressing her jaw, his thumb brushing the corner of her lips. “So this is just your classic one night stand.”

That makes him pause, his gaze now meeting hers; there’s relief and also an inopportune disappointment when he nods.

“Just two strangers meeting,” he agrees, but then he tilts his head, curious. “What’s your name?”

“Strangers,” Ginny reinforces. “No names. You can call me…” Her gaze falls over her half-drunk cocktail. “Gin.”

“Gin,” he repeats, eyes shining. “It suits you. I’m guessing this makes me Fizz.”
