HOUSE OF GOSSIP House of Gossip is problematizing the threat of displacement of tenants from their homes. The intransparent information during a house selling process leads to rumors among the tenants. Through improvised encounters and the exchange of rumors, the players are trying to ally with each other and to fight for their interests.

Rethink Open Form
“The Silent Star” is the first Polish sci-fi movie. Opening with Speisekino “The Silent Star”, 1959, DDR/ PL, 94 min. with a cosmic menu by Stadtfrauenküche
Start 25 October, Friday, 2019 7 pm, no food reservation needed. Limited amount of portions.
About the film A spaceship with an international crew, consisting of seven men and the Japanese doctor Sumiko, undertakes an expedition to Venus in 1970. It was only now that it was discovered that a cosmic coil that had descended in the Gobi desert in 1908 came from this planet. But Venus has not yet responded to radio messages. On the way it is possible to decipher the content of the coil. It says that the inhabitants of Venus planned an attack on the earth in 1908. Although it did not come to it, the crew expects nothing good with their landing. They don't discover any living creatures, only technical facilities that work on their own. A gigantic extermination machinery, which must have got out of control, obviously directed itself against its builders and still releases huge nuclear radiation. The spaceship is in danger, three crew members sacrifice themselves so that the others can return to Earth - with the message that Venus is no longer threatening aggression.

The results of the project will be presented 25 – 27 October 2019 in the pavilion Werkstatt Haus der Statistik. The pavilion will become a multimodular laboratory that changes its function from day to day between cinema, conference room, radio station and play corner. The residents of the Karl-Marx-Allee as well as experts from the fields of architectural history, sociology, IT and sound engineering will thus be offered a common platform for exchange.
