lia, you aren't wrong. the st play is so random - reminds me of the HP sequel that was a play. it feels like an odd branch for the series, especially because its not the most accessible. i am intrigued because i love theatre and ST but i don't want the ST fandom to be one like the MCU where if you miss one thing (like this or supplementary novels) you're lost. i just want the duffle bags to focus on ST5 and end it well, and preferably in less than 5 years time. gah.

Yessss Janna I 100% agree, you put into words exactly how I feel! I'm also a big theatre fan and I think it's totally fine for creators to branch out to different forms -- it's expected at this point with a lot of franchises -- but when it starts to become officially incorporated into canon I'm skeptical. And you're right, it's not the most accessible form, I mean the ST-adjacent novels and comics etc are one thing but a play?? One described as holding the "key" to future events? I don't know how to feel. And I'm saying this purely on how the ST social media accounts have described and addressed it.... so we'll see! I'm also just protective over ST staying true to its core and not changing too much.... even after I've been let down lmao so it's very Me to be rattled by something like this

brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, who take theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to a whole new dimension, this gripping new adventure will take you right back to the beginning of the stranger things story – and may hold the key to the end. 

kate trefry is a staff writer and story editor on the show, and she wrote the spy, the sauna test, and the nina project. with her and the duffers being involved in creating the original story, and then having her be the main writer of the first shadow, along with the nod to the beginning and the end of stranger things, i would assume this is going to align with the canon of the show. 

it seems henry and his backstory will be the main focus, but other characters like joyce, hopper, and bob will be making appearances.

Mileven Week is back for 2022!

Things are running a little late this year because, truthfully, we weren’t sure if there would be enough interest, but the fandom seems to have found its groove again after this last season… why not?

That said, things are going to be a little different this year - Instead of accepting submissions, we’re asking you to vote for 4 themes among the admins’ picks by filling in this form. They’re one-word prompts, so hopefully not too difficult to create content for. Remember, anything you have to offer is welcome: fanfic, edits, artwork, think-pieces, etc.

What ST moment or scene has made you laugh the most?

Ouhhh that's tough, my mind immediately went to some of the bloopers lol -- because I've rewatched most seasons at least twice, it's hard to remember what scenes I genuinely laughed at most the first time around.

I'd say some of the funniest moments for me are with Dustin; "She's our friend and she's crazy!" springs to mind, or any of his digs at Steve, or that scene in S2 where he chews out Ted Wheeler for being useless. I also thought the joke in S3 between Max and El about "happy screams", when El almost repeated it in front of the group was great -- actually that whole scene, where Will references a rollercoaster and El just goes "No." My deadpan queen.
