This week has been heavy. I鈥檝e felt my blood boil more than once. I鈥檓 trying to stay positive but something is clear - there has been an awakening in my generation - we鈥檝e really woken up and we are angry about what is happening - and it鈥檚 taken a pandemic to curate the right time, but the civil rights movement has been sparked in most of us and going forward things will be very different. I鈥檝e always been anti racist and I support a political party that is FOR the people, but this is NOT enough and I鈥檓 working on it - within my life - implementing real changes and more importantly really seeking out to listen to what my non white friends need to say. To all my non white friends - please have hope - please don鈥檛 be afraid to hope. The systematic racism, navigating the systematic racism , that down play just to get on a level playing field with white people, years of conditioned oppression - the lid is coming off. The UK must face it鈥檚 UGLY TRUTH. I am with you and I stand by you. This is not a trend that will pass, this is a movement, FEEL HOPE. I can鈥檛 be silent right now - I just can鈥檛.
