Sorry this took so long. Had a lot of things get in the way of completing it.

I always enjoyed the illustrations at the beginning of the NES manual as a kid, and it saddened me to find out these weren’t actually part of a real animated promotion for the game. So I decided to take those illustrations and re-create them as if they were! Enjoy this long-lost VHS promotion for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link on the Nintendo Entertainment System!

Four Swords!

You can teleport one (1) single individual live seagull into any time or place in history. Where would you choose to put it to best fuck with peoples' heads and cause as much confusion as possible?

I'd pick Tutankhamun's tomb, just behind the sealed door, 30 seconds before the seal is broken and the tomb is opened. Imagine throwing that into the curse myth - just as these people are about to crack open the greatest cold one in history, knowing that this is what they'll be known for from hereon, they open the door that must not be opened, and out scatters a frantic, deeply baffled bird, entirely healthy and intact, fluttering away never to be seen again, with no apparent way of how it got in.

Four's Shadow in LU

I feel like people dont fully consider the horror potential of Shadow. Yes, I've seen people write him as being scary to the Links that have fought a Dark before, but it's glossed over too quickly, in my opinion.

Like, imagine yourself in one of the Link's situations. Dark's are made as a test or an obsticle where The Hero must conquer his darkness. For the others, it has always been something to be fought (with the exception of Twilight). Of course, the hero of the Four Sword has the unique ability to confront himself in other ways.

Anyway, to go back to the horror aspect, there is a copy of a person you know, and The Colors are one thing, but Shadow is a dark being. In my mind, he would not look right to a light worlders eyes.

He looks like The Hero of the Four Swords from afar in the dark, but the closer you get and the more light there's on him, you see something is very wrong. The light doesn't hit him right. Colors start to appear nonsensical to your eye. You can't tell if his hair is purple, red, or black. Skin is like ash, smile sharp and mischievous red eyes that are not malicious but hold darkness and forbidden knowledge in them.

This is if you can even see him because even when he is not in Four's shadow or in shadow form, he does not like being in the light, so my boy is hard to see.

Also, I have the feeling Shadow would not like the other's a lot, some more than others. Especially the ones that deafeted their own shadow before. So, he intentionally doesn't tune down his creepiness.

The general consensus with the other Links is how the hell Four can trust his shadow just like that.
