Maggie:
1. How do they move and carry themselves? Pace, rhythm, gestures, energy?
She carries herself like a vibrant force of nature. She’s upbeat in almost everything she does-even when she’s angry. She walks with askip in her step, acting like she’s being expected no matter where she goes. She’s very animated when speaking, using herhands liberally. She’s seemingly always brightand happy.
10. What energizes and drains them most?
Her work does it both for her. It is one of the main reasons she is stillable to carry on, yet at the same time, it taps heavily on her mental andphysical reserves. The same goes for herfamily and her significant others (verse/personal canon depending.) She loves with every fiber of her being andthat is sometimes enough to drive her to the brink.
16. Do they dream? What are those dreamslike?
No, she doesn’t dream. Not in a conventional sense, nor in a happy one.
28. What are they likely to do if theyhave the opportunity, resources, and time to accomplish it? Why?
A majority of Magdalne’s time is spent in the shop; upkeep, restocking, selling bits and bobbles and reading the cards for clients. But when she finds time to herself… She knits, sews…whatever she can stitch, shewill.
34. How do they understand theworld–what kind of worldview and thought processes do they have? Why?
The biggest thing that she understands about the world… isthat it’s not possible for one person to fully understand. She would urge that the more one becomes usedto that idea, the less heartbreak they’ll find.
Idi:
6. What are they like in motion–indifferent environments, and in different activities? What causes thedifferences between these?
She’s almost the complete polar opposite of Magdalene. Withdrawn and inverted, not drawn to actionunless circumstance demands it. The onlyoccasions that really have her animated are those that involve her sister- orones that involved her special hobbies; perhaps even with others who couldpotentially enjoy them just as much as she does. In the rare event that this occurs, shesmiles more, is talkative, maybe will even share a laugh or two.
9. How do they manifest energy, exhaustion, tension, or other strong emotions?
She hardly seems to manifest energy at all. She becomes withdrawn and sullen, neverraising her voice unless thrown into an extreme rage. But usually she will isolate herself longbefore then, preferring to hide and sort herself out in private where no one elsecan see.
13. How do they greet the world — what istheir typical attitude towards life? How does it differ in differentcircumstances, or towards different subjects? Why do they take these attitudes, and why do they change? How do these tend to be expressed?
She’s as positive as she lets herself be. She’s comfortable in a slow, monotonous pace-though life and circumstances don’t truly allow for that. Life in general is something that she sees ina ‘glass half empty’ way. In her view: formost- life never fully amounts to one’s hopes and dreams- nor is life the trueboundary of one’s soul and consciousness. She both hates and loves her talent as a medium for this simple view. She loves the truth she finds in death. Though some souls fight their final fate; ultimately, they are more akin to their true selves in death than they ever were in life-no longer held to the constraints of a societal psyche.
21. What kind of relationships do theytend to intentionally seek out versus actually cultivate? What kind of socialcontact do they prefer, and why?
(AAAA, this one was hard) The thing is that Idunn reallydoesn’t seek out relationships. Becauseof her preferred lifestyle of almost total recluse, anything she gets more orless just falls into her lap. But whenshe does commit herself to a relationship, whether it be romantic or platonic-she puts her entire self into it, though with her lack of spontaneity, it justseems like business as usual.
39. What sort of questions or thoughtsrecur in their lives, either specifically or as a theme? Why are these neveranswered, or answered permanently to their satisfaction?
With both her gifts and her experiences as an herbalist, there’s always a question in need of answering. But the most important answer that she has yet to firmly grasp, is thatsome questions shouldn’t be answered.

What Is Your Seduction Style?
Your Seduction Style: The Natural (Magdalene)
You don't really try to seduce people... it just seems to happen. Fun loving and free spirited, you bring out the inner child in people. You are spontaneous, sincere, and unpretentious - a hard combo to find! People drop their guard around you, and find themselves falling fast.
Your Seduction Style: The Coquette (Idunn)
You are a pro at playing the age old game of hard to get. Your flirting style runs hot and cold, giving just enough to keep them chasing you. Independent and self-sufficient, you don't need any one person to make you complete. And that independence is exactly what makes people pursue you.

HC/minor meta under the cut. Spoilers for the MC’s story in later chapters.
...
...
...
...
Post-revelation of her death and subsequent resurrection at Asra’s hands, Magdalene becomes more prone to bouts of short, but intense melancholia. As it often does with others, these episodes come out of nowhere, without warning. The warmness of the teacup in her hand, the feel of the sun, the sound of the rain, the baker’s smile…
Mostly defined by her warring emotions of pure existential awareness, Magdalene also suffers heavily under the weight of survivors’ guilt. Why me? Why was I so special?
She also begins to question the circumstances under which she and Asra met, though strictly through the eyes of ‘did what happen occur as such because it was supposed to happen or was it a (un)happy accident?’
Of course, she does not blame Asra for her initial passing, though some deeply hidden resentment festered for a time. He lied to her and she finds that she doesn’t much care if it was for her wellbeing. You should have left me dead. His suppression and in turn removal of her memories took more from her than she feels will ever return. With Idunn’s reappearance in her life, his reassurances that she is the same as before do not fill her with encouragement. How could she be the same after missing something so important?
She does not hate Asra. On the contrary she loves him more than she can possibly explain (whether or not this love is platonic or otherwise is up to circumstance.) Though she often; and regretfully, finds herself wondering if that love is indeed ‘for better or worse.’ Before her death, they were friends on her own terms, on equal footing. After her death, rebirth, and amnesia, Asra effectively inserted himself into her life on his own terms, unequally, and with admittedly no control on either of their parts.
And Idunn…
After the initial shock at the sudden discovery that not only she had a sister, but an identical twin… the reintegration into Idunn’s life (and Idunn into hers) has been slow. Very slow. Magdalene can tell that the forced distance that Idunn makes for her benefit hurts her sister, and wishes that it could be otherwise. She also wonders when the sensation of hyper vigilance will cease, the need to do everything deliberately as she did before- though she is never sure if her own quirks are the same as before, Idunn stays silent either way. She’s hopeful that a new routine will come with time, but who knows just how much time will be necessary to ease the pain?

Homecoming
Within an hour of spying land on the horizon, she walked upon solid land for the first time in weeks. Vesuvia had appeared as a low hanging star; bright and beautiful, cradled between clear, dark skies and calm waters. After four long years…she was home.
And what years they had been. What began as a bright future of discovery and freedom had spiraled to fear, a stagnant existence of the unknown. Of rumors and plague. Of exile and separation.
Ships had been forced to bypass the city as sickness ravaged the people. ‘On the island the fires burn hot night and day,’ she had heard, ‘The beaches stained black with death.’
She had screamed. She had begged, borrowed, and stole to the last until she could go no farther. Until all she could do was wait until the years passed by like centuries.
Death from a thousand plagues seemed lesser to not knowing.
But here she was. The city before her, cursed island; the Lazaret, at her back like a shadow. Its aura clawed at her mind, beckoned her with promises of such horror.
The wailing…could no one else hear the cries?
How could no one else hear it? How was the presence of death yet so strong that the lost still cried in such anguish? The dead knew more than the living could bear; their eyes open to the long dark.
And here they called to her like sirens of the deep, but their song was anything but beautiful. They compelled her to turn, to come to them, to listen to their sad tale. But she refused, harshly grinding her teeth in her effort. The dead had all eternity to wait. But not her, she had waited long enough.
She had to find her. She had to find her sister.

Our Story Begins...
The confident younger sister who desires to spread her wings…
Magdalene is like the sun, burning with life; the intensity of her spirit infectious to all she meets. She knows no stranger, leaves no corner unexplored. An accomplished magician in her own right, she’s lived alongside her friend and mentor in the city of Vesuvia, growing and molding to her craft.
Living her best life.
…or so she thought.
Suddenly she has been thrust into a new life…
Or is it an old life…?
A life that threatens everything she once knew as truth. A winding path awaits her; filled with intrigue, secrets, and perhaps…even love?
Even she cannot foresee what lies at the end. Even now she cannot answer…
‘Who am I?’
The stoic older sister who wishes to find her way.
If her sister is the sun, then Idunn is the moon. Serene where her sister is spontaneous; her determined yet withdrawn nature hides a deeper pain.
Who is this person who wears her sister’s face? Their face?
A gifted herbalist, returned to Vesuvia after a long absence, returned to find her lost sister.
Instead she finds a stranger in a now unfamiliar city. Her quest to discover the truth with lead her into dark depths and decay; voices from the past whisper to her softly, but even they cannot truly answer…
‘What happened here?’
