I lost my best friend 3 years ago- not lost as in dead but lost as in we only text each other on our birthdays now. Movies and books don't tell you that a friendship dying is like the sinking of a ship, you try to get higher and higher and hold onto the rails and unanswered texts, the captain tries to steer it to safety and salvage pieces of two broken hearts until you're left with memories of what once was. We were friends for a decade and knew each other's diaries by heart, I still remember her phone number and the way she took her coffee. Seeing her in streets is like breathing in a scent you forgot you knew but it immediately takes you back to a summer in '07.
Movies and books also don't tell you that friendships don't just end after one fight or incident, it's like the rusting of a bridge, the slow decay of flesh and bones and secrets. It took weeks, months- until one day I woke up and I realized I hadn't thought of her in a while. And I wrote a poem that day and I titled it 'The dying of a best friend' and I put all my love for her in a tiny box with my half of the matching pendant of a dolphin we had and stored them in a corner of my heart under the heading Grief. Where else can one hide unspent love?
It's been 3 years since I lost my best friend, lost as in I still carry our secrets in a tiny box but we only text each other on our birthdays.
-Ritika Jyala, excerpt from The world is a sphere of ice and our hands are made of fire

This perspective is from a doctor who has been in practice since 1988: Among all the vaccines I have researched in my life - diphtheria, tetanus, measles, rubella, chickenpox, hepatitis, meningitis and tuberculosis - and I should include more recently, flu, pneumonia, and shingles: ▪︎I have never seen a vaccine that forced me to wear a mask and maintain social distance, after you are fully vaccinated. ▪︎I never heard of a vaccine that spreads the virus even after vaccination. ▪︎I never heard of rewards, discounts, or incentives to get vaccinated. ▪︎I never saw discrimination for those who didn't. If you haven't been vaccinated, no one ever tried to make you feel like a bad person. ▪︎I have never seen a vaccine that threatens the relationship between family, colleagues, and friends. ▪︎I have never seen a vaccine used to threaten livelihoods, work, or school. ▪︎I have never seen a vaccine that would allow a 12-year-old to override parental consent. After all the vaccines I listed above, I have never seen a vaccine like this one, which discriminates, judges, and divides society! The #COVID19 VACCINES do all these things EXCEPT ACTUAL IMMUNIZATION !! If we still need a booster dose after we are fully vaccinated - and we still need to get a negative test after we are fully vaccinated - and we still need to wear a mask after we are fully vaccinated - and still be hospitalized after we have been fully vaccinated - it will likely come to this: "It's time for us to admit that we've been completely deceived.

The secrets about Success
Success is much more than riches, power or fame. Success is simply the feeling of satisfaction and happiness one gets from leading a particular way of life or carrying out a particular activity. Success in any field or aspect of life can only be achieved through serious hard work and a little bit of opportunity. One of the most important recipes of success is determination and it might as well be the most important secret of success. To become successful, it is necessary to never give up until the aim of happiness and satisfaction in life is fully met. The happiness and satisfaction can be found in very different things in different people.

ideals of a good and lasting relationship
Trust
“Love cannot live where there is no trust” – In Greek mythology, these were the same words that Cupid said when he left his love, Psyche, all because she failed the ultimate test of Trust. Although it’s a classic story of “the one that got away”, the lesson still applies to couples who don’t know how to value trust in a relationship.

Humor
A sense of humor is the most underrated quality because people think that it seems out of place when talking about romance. The truth is, the ability to find peace and comfort in laughter can make a relationship more exciting, and thus, more interesting to be in.

Openness
This quality is important especially for couples who are extremely different from each other. Being complete opposites, they don’t always agree on the same things and even fight over trivial matters. However, what binds them together is their love for each other – and openness is one of the characteristics that make this possible.\
