Arggghhhhh Omar playing in LA , three hours away from me, on a freaking Monday. I guess I'm going to pretend I'm not 48 years old and pull an all nighter and drive back home get a few hours of sleep and go to work on a Tuesday?? We can’t make fetch Omar happen. Sorry, but it’s the truth. We don’t have the numbers. For big success (however you define that), he needs more people outside the immediate fandom as it is now. It’s part strategy and part dumb luck. There’s no guaranteed recipe. And on a personal note, I’m here because it’s fun. I already have a job. I don’t have time for another. I also do not to believe that me standing at a street corner in my Podunk town is gonna be the PR move that makes or breaks his career. It’s cute and may get you a like from him, but that’s it.

I've been overwhelmed (in a bad way) with people talking about Omar success these past few days 😣 People seem so obsessed with numbers, with how many people follow him on socials, with how can he make it big, how can he become the next huge star, etc. (I'm almost feeling guilty that I'm not streaming his new songs like crazy or liking/interacting with the stuff he puts out 😅) And honestly? These people are only gonna end up disappointed or angry if they keep obsessing over these things over and over! Omar is successful!! His concerts always have a crowd of enthusiastic fans, his music is loved by a good amount of people, his beauty brand sold out its last product, he's making new music, there are talks of a tour, etc. Like it's good, very good!! And I'm sure he's incredibly happy with his life and work right now, and we should be too! Of course we can always want more for an artist we love, but not all singers become crazy huge international stars, and it doesn't mean they failed their career! So can we calm down a bit? And enjoy him and his very successful summer? 🤗
