Avatar Au lore: Mira

I feel like I should start by saying that Mira has never been a character I entirely loved but I blame that on the fact that she was only there for like two seconds 😞😓 HOWEVER I still like her and obviously had to put her in the au.

In the au I’m not entirely sure how she would die, all I know is that number one: the humans (Skeksis) kill her, and number two: once they do the clans begin to distrust each other. Going in a violently different direction than the show and the avatar movies.

I feel like her death would happen a few years before the actual au starts and I’m not sure how to explain my reasoning.. but after she’s dead Rian probably visits the spirit tree as often as possible just so he could see her (cause we love angst here 💀). Anyways, I may draw her more but I think I’m going to work on other characters next 🙂‍↕️

every time I draw this man I stray further and further from how he actually looks which is funny to me bc originally I thought I could draw him just fine and rly struggled with lath'n, now it's the opposite 💀

also i tried to experiment with oil glazing (although i didn't do it properly at all since i didn't do the underpainting grisaille and instead just experimented with pencil tone LMAO so i get why it didn't turn out), honestly if this wasn't on canvas paper I'd probably look back at this in a few years and think it's a watercolour painting 😭
