It has come to my attention that someone has apparently compromised your systems. Jacyn Kaplan-Brake and Morgan Inez Drew cannot legally have guardianship over Vincent Elroy, as the are both minors.

Additionally, I am the one who is to have custody of Vice once he is found, as per our contract.

Perhaps you should invest in better security, to ensure that this does not happen again.

Blanche makes a show of holding up her hands in mock surrender, smiling softly.

“I won’t, I do not expect an immediate result. Just… if you somehow allow us to meet, that’s all I ask.”

Blanches eyes flick over Morgan’s face, noticing the sudden shift, but she doesn’t comment on it.

Blanche polishes off her fries and begins to put things back into her purse. She hovers her hand over the folder for a moment before shrugging and leaving it on the table.

“You can keep that, in case you want to get them fact checked, I have copies of everything anyways.”

She stands and slings her purse over her shoulder, flicking her long hair back with her hand as she turns and faces Morgan once again.

“It really was nice to meet you, Morgan. If you are able to organise this little meet up, or if you need anything in general, call me.”

She hands Morgan a business card with her personal number scrawled on the back.

With the bill paid and her mission accomplished, Blanche makes her way out of the restaurant, if that’s what you would call it, and into the back seat of an awaiting car.

She gives Morgan a cheery wave from the window before the car peels down the street, leaving Morgan alone with a bowl of fries and a whole lot to think about.

The aroma of greasy fast food and cheap batter fills the air of the small establishment that Blanche finds herself in, idly scrolling through her phone as she waits for this mysterious teen to appear.

Interesting how someone so below her in status is able to make her wait, something that rarely occurs in her daily routine. She's already taken quite a liking to this Morgan girl. She reminds Blanche of herself when she was younger.

Confident, spunky, and full of attitude.

Her acrylic nails tap against the barely clean tabletop as her impatience grows. But she won't leave, not until she has some answers.

She was beginning to be forgetful. Perhaps she always had been relying to Chat to remind her but Chat wasn’t being themselves either after the… news.

Morgan silenced her phone after huffing at Vice’s recent message. She’d think about it later but for now she took a deep breath and pushed open the building’s door.

She pocketed her phone, eyes darting left and right, around the place to search for Blanche.

And it wasn’t hard to miss her hair that was exactly like Vice’s.

Chat was nice enough to just whisper today as she walked closer, putting her cold hands into the pockets of her boyfriend’s jacket. “Blanche,” she greeted, tone neutral. She wasn’t so sure what to expect here.

Ah, seems she struck another nerve. Blanche hums as she continues picking at the fries in front of her, enjoying them but mainly using them as an opportunity to mull over her next words.

She tilts her head, just as Vice does when he’s confused or curious, but neither curiosity nor confusion flickers across Blanche’s face. No. She seems… satisfied?

“Hm. You stick to your guns and appear to have a strong sense of duty to those you consider your family. I like that. I suppose Vice likes you too, he probably feels safe when you’re around.”

A few more fries and another pause.

“I suppose I’ve achieved what I set out to do regardless. I’ve shown you my proof, that I am who I say I am.”

She once again taps the folder, her acrylic nail clacking against the plastic.

“Maybe if Vice didn’t think I was a threat, he’d… he’d at least meet with me. I could explain who I am and why I’ve been looking for him. And maybe if someone close to him came along… we could all have a nice chat. Hm?”
