The thing with Young Hearts is that it makes me wish I was a kid again. Being in love is already an amazing feeling but experiencing it as a kid, when you have nothing but time to hang out and enjoy it, with no cares in the world and feelings amplified by ten. Love and relationships only get harder as you age. Seems like the best (or maybe worst) time to learn about what it could feel like IS when you're young.

was finally able to watch the young hearts movie and oh my god do I wish I had something like that when I was younger. Young teenagers discovering their queer identity in a way that isn't super traumatising and/or ends in a tragedy made me realise that as queer people we rarely get to see such an uplifting and happy perspective in media.

watched Young Hearts and i cried through the whole thing, BUT i managed to write down like two quotes.

these probably aren’t completely accurate cus theyre the english translation, but theyre heartbreaking in any language so.
