51 & 48. A real-estate power duo. The type whose faces you see staring down at you from billboards. Friendly enough to clients, aggressive to their peers. They bring business cards to funerals and speak as though they’ve made the sale before you ever step inside the front door. Locally beloved; strategically active in their community.

Kenneth Cavanaugh, Jr.

31. One of the twins from Kenneth’s first marriage. Cool in composure, sharp in wit. The popular twin, once upon a time a beloved fixture of White Pines high, but long-since graduated and removed from Heather’s reign. Recently received his doctorate in history and married when he moved to France for a year as part of his studies. Warmer than Heather, although that says little in the grand scheme of the world.

Mackenzie “Kenzie" Cavanaugh.

31. The unpopular twin—in Heather’s words, and damned by the high school glitterati. A perpetual loner, a bookish sort, with no interest in the thoughts of other people or her half-sister’s longing for the spotlight. The academic juggernaut of the family, although she appears at family engagements. Works for a pharmaceutical company, single, perpetually a drag.

21. The queen bee, the black sheep. Once upon a time, she was the apple of her parents’ eyes. They don’t quite know what happened to their little girl, but the cracks in their relationship have been forming for years. She moved out after her brief appearance on Revenge and has barely looked back.

17. A brat, through and through. While his elder sister chose reality television as her path to the limelight, he stepped in elsewhere. All of her ambition and none of her pretense, he’s amassed a small but dedicated following on YouTube for his game commentary. Used to be big in the habit of pranking his “beloved” sister—the only difference now is that she is out of the house and no longer an everyday target.

13. A oddity in the family. She holds no love or interest in the affairs of her elder siblings, considers herself the smart one, the one who sees through their bullshit. Their acts of desperation do not amuse her; she rooted against her sister in every appearance on national television. Not quite a social media star, but making tiny waves on instagram in the alternative fashion scene, and she’s never selling out.
