About me...
My name is Hal. I am a retired Software Engineer. I worked for the Idaho Secretary of State for 18 years as an IT Analyst and Senior Developer.
One of the primary responsibilities of the Secretary of State is to act as the public repository for various types of legal documents. These documents include UCC, Corporation, Trademark, Notary Public and other filings of a legal nature, searchable by the general public.
My job included analysis of the needs of the office staff and the general public. I designed, created, tested and maintained several applications to accommodate the needs of the office of the Secretary of State, including:
Windows applications to allow office staff to enter data from UCC (lien), Corporation, Trademark, Notary Public and other filings into the database.
Web applications to allow the public to file the various documents required by Idaho law.
Web applications to facilitate public searches for documents.
I am proficient in the following IDEs and programing languages:
Microsoft Visual Studio using C# as the coding language.
The overall use of XML as a means of creating document images, storing filing data, or whatever the need may be.
HTML in general, including skills with HTML5 and CSS3
JavaScript
SQL (Structured Query Language)
Sybase and SqlServer databases
Sybase PowerBuilder IDE
If you need a consultant to help you with your application and database needs, contact me. I love programming and solving problems, so I may even help you free of charge or for a small, reasonable fee.
