we've had this tumblr since we were a literal child we should probably make a new account and move our shit there. and also actually have our main blog be the actual account blog
we think a lot about how we're stuck connected to shit we've moved on from and one of the things holding us back is old social media accounts soooooooooo expect an update about moving to a new account

It's so awesome to find another collective/system/ect that has similar experiences! Our World is also a space between spaces, and we also usually get people showing up from things happening in the world they came from
We should really start to blog about this stuff lmao
Some people on another post said they were interested in hearing our system experiences (with being a gateway system and other stuff), so here we go!
It got pretty long so weâll use a cut ^^
Weâre a gateway system, which means that our headspace is, in a way, a real place somewhere. For us, we see it as a kind of in-between space between worlds, and that weâre connected to it, an others are as well (more on that later). We call our headspace STAR SPACE bc of how it looks (a bunch of floating islands in outer space; the art in our pinned is mostly accurate to what it looks like) and it just sounds nice ^^
Since STAR SPACE is an in-between, we get new people showing up a lot, most commonly because 1.) Something happened to their world/happened to them in their world, or 2.) They already had an aptitude for world-hopping and ended up in STAR SPACE. The âsomething happened to themâ explanation is the more common of the two in our experience.
We do have one person in particular who world-hops a lot: đźSunny. Crow goes between here and crowâs home world (where he is also part of a system) a lot. He actually spends more time there than here, but comes over every so often to check in, sometimes bringing friends along (first time that happened is documented here (link)). đBee travels too, but she canât go back to buzzâs home world for some reason; we arenât completely sure why. She does tag along with đźSunny sometimes though. Them traveling between STAR SPACE and crowâs system is how we fully realized that itâs an in-between space.
We have had a few people permanently leave, or at least it seems permanent considering how long theyâve been gone and the circumstances around it. Itâs different than someone going dormant; when theyâre dormant we can still mostly feel that theyâre here in the system (down in the void beneath STAR SPACE weâre pretty sure). When someone leaves completely, their presence is 100% gone until they come back (if they come back).
Gateways between STAR SPACE and other worlds tend to form when we get latched onto a certain world that exists in fiction here; itâs why we have so many people in here that we call fictives (though they technically arenât introjects), and a lot of people from one place or closely connected places tend to come through in a short time (for example, the most recent was PokĂ©mon, and we had 11 people show up in around 2 months, mostly from the same version of the PokĂ©mon world).
Weâve had a couple people end up in the system long before their home worlds were even conceptualized in this world. đMare and đȘOmori have been around for well over a decade at this point (though none of us knew we were separate people back then), yet their sources have only existed here for around 7-8 and 3 years respectively. They did not realize who they were until we interacted with their sources, but they were always themselves.
There are only 2 people in here that donât originate in an outside world; đNight (who was the first to ever split weâre pretty sure), and đAster (an OCtive who formed as we were making a design). đAster stands out since he formed within the past year, while đNight has been here since elementary school or earlier.
Like in other systems, STAR SPACE does tend to pull more people through when weâre stressed or going through a hard time. People can show up at any time though.
Thereâs a lot we still donât understand, and that we never will, but thatâs part of what we enjoy about this! We are always discovering more about ourself, and other worlds in the process! We just wish there were more gateway systems out there talking about their experiences; we want to see how they differ and how theyâre similar!
If anyone has questions about anything weâd love to answer them! Talking about our system is something we really enjoy, and sometimes it helps us realize new things too!

i need young disordered systems to know this
We have always been ostracized and gawked at. We have always been seen as fake and trendy. Yes, always. We have never been taken seriously, no matter how we protrayed ourselves.
Just in media:
Psycho was released in 1960.
The Three Faces Of Eve was released in 1957.
Sibyl was published in 1973 (and at the time the system it was based off was fakeclaimed so hard they are still internationally mocked).
Me, Myself & Irene was released in 2000.
If you remember nothing else, remember this: Our strength has always been in unity, both as individuals and as a community.
And you are not alone. You are not the first. Weâre here with you, and we always have been.

If you're going to lick and deepthroat the boots of ableists, I have no obligation to be nice to you since you're either ignoring ableism or are okay with it.
Tell me how that boot tastes after it curbstomps you and all the people who have experienced it before see you still defending something that wants you dead and that has killed others.

Alterhuman is not just Otherkin
It seems people just donât know how the alterhuman umbrella works, and who is entitled to it and who isnât. The alterhuman community is a big community full of many other subgroups that have individuals that may or may not consider themselves alterhuman. Itâs not a term you have to take on if you donât like it (self-identification as alterhuman is optional, and you can refuse to call yourself alterhuman) but there are many in certain communities who may just consider themselves and their communities alterhuman by default. Be aware that these are not all the communities that exist out there that could be included, we definitely left out a few but this is supposed to be a general and not exhaustive list.
Under the alterhuman umbrella you have the basic communities like:
Otherkin (people who identify AS nonhuman entities)
Fictionkin (people who identify AS fictional entities)
Therians (people who identify AS nonhuman animals)
Draconics (people who identify AS dragons)
Unicorns (people who identify AS unicorns)
Transspecies (people who identify AS nonhuman entities and/or do not wish to stay in their human form any longer)
Nonhumans (people who identify AS nonhuman, usually used if someone cannot find themselves fitting into the other communities)
The basic communities that may almost by default call themselves alterhuman, because they donât identify themselves as human in the slightest.
Then you have associated communities like:
Plural systems (endogenic, traumagenic, soulbonders, tulpamancers, gateways, walk-ins, etc.) anybody who identifies as being more than one
Copinglinkers (people who identify as nonhumans or fictional entities to cope with their current situations)
Otherhearted (People who identify heavily with nonhumans to the point where they might be considered family, like having a favorite animal except more extreme)
Furries (particularly, furries who may identify heavily with their fursonas)
Transhumanists (people who are trying to transcend the limits of the human body with science and technology)
These communities are associated, but donât fully fit into the alterhuman community by default because not all of the community may agree with that classification or (as the label intended) it may be on a case-by-case basis (for example not all plural systems will consider themselves alterhuman or want to distance themselves from the concept of humanity)
Lastly, we have communities that are on the fence or are distant from the community, meaning not all of the wider alterhuman community accepts these individuals or their claims (and in some cases their communities may also want to stay away from alterhumanity) but even then individuals are allowed to be a part of it if they can behave nicely and not harm others.
Factkin (individuals who claim to identify as a real factual person in this world)
Physical shifters (individuals who claim to physically transform into their kintypes)
The alterhuman community does not discriminate against other communities or individuals simply for existing, rather it seeks to unite everyone with their shared experiences of not being human in a typical social, spiritual, psychological or identity-based way. We all have shared experiences, even if you donât think we do at first glance. An animalistic system and a therian can find common ground, as much as a fictionkin and a soulbonder can. An animalistic human in a plural system may find a lot of commonalities with a person who claims to be a Neanderthal therian. You donât have to find common ground with everyone to be a part of a community after all, and there will always be someone else who can relate to your experiences in some way. Even if we donât have the exact same experiences all the time we can learn from one another, and help boost each other up.
Stop kicking out individuals and communities that have a right to be in the community. Weâve seen multiple people try to claim endogenic systems donât belong in the community or have never been accepted here when that is completely untrue. Weâve seen individuals try to claim that plural systems donât belong in the community, or that copinglinks and otherhearted individuals are âstealingâ the community away somehow or are making the community look bad. Weâve seen people claim that alterhuman is a useless label because individuals could just call themselves kin instead, when the entire purpose of âalterhumanâ is to avoid people calling themselves kin when they mean something else. Please, read up on what alterhuman means, who it was meant to include, and why people from these other communities may consider themselves alterhuman. A copinglinker or endogenic system calling themselves alterhuman is not hurting the community, but unknowledgeable and gatekeepy alterhumans are.
This isnât to say you canât have your own opinions on others in the alterhuman community. Youâre free to believe what you want (hopefully itâs an opinion that is open to changing with new evidence) but stop espousing falsehoods and implying that the alterhuman community disavows individuals or communities it doesnât, or that you have more of a right to the community than anybody else. To quote Vagabond-Sun:
You are alterhuman if you decide to call yourself alterhuman. You may decide to call yourself alterhuman if you experience an internal identity that is beyond the scope of what is traditionally considered human.
You fit that and want in? Great, welcome to the club, and donât let anybody else tell you otherwise. You donât like this? Find a different community umbrella.
Weâre all a part of the umbrella for a reason, and if you specifically consider yourself alterhuman you have a reason for being here, same as us or anybody else in this community. Please respect the place of others in this community! We would lift you up and boost your voices, please give us the same courtesy.Â

Thymo- and -anim
Thymo-: A prefix referring to plurans who found and joined their system via their emotional connections to a pluran who was already in the system.
Derived from the term thymos, used to denote emotions, desire, or an internal urge in Greek philosophy.
Usages can include thymotive, thymonim, etc.
-anim: A suffix for spiritual systems, referring specifically to plurans whose souls entered the body from an outside source (such as another world).
Derived from the Latin root anim, meaning âspiritâ.
When paired with a prefix that ends in a vowel, (such as thymo-), the A is dropped (i.e. thymonim, fictonim).

Also, some endogenic systems are actually traumagenic system who do not realize/acknowledge that they have trauma. Which means, of course they may actually be a system BUT they are only a system because of trauma. There is no other cause for plurality.
(Apologies, this came in while I was writing that first response and I didn't see it until I'd posted that.)
Again, like I said in my first post, this falls into claiming that you know someone else's experiences better than they themselves do. Yes, they may have trauma. The fact is that you don't know whether they do or not, because you do not live in their body and brain.
Aside from that - yes, some endogenic systems may actually realize later on that they're traumagenic, that is true. That does not support the statement "there is no other cause for plurality," or even "all endogenic systems are actually traumagenic and don't realize," for the same reason that "some people who identify as bisexual may later realize they're actually gay" does not support the statement "therefore, all bisexual people are actually just confused gay people" - or to be slightly more abstract, for the same reason that "penguins are birds" does not support the statement "all birds are penguins."

Something some of us should ponder
Being postfictive and/also being an exotraveler (literally coming from somewhere else) is a weird experience. Yeah I'm literally from my world but so much stuff has happened since then I'm basically a different person.

i understand that younger people can get swept up in discourse about not wanting to step on the toes of disabled people (DID, UDD, OSDD etc systems), but back in the day in the early 90s, the people paving the way and pioneering inclusive plural safe spaces were almost entirely endo systems. every single site about multiplicity from the 90s and 2000s focused very heavily on healthy and non disordered multiplicity and how DID (known as MPD back then) was valid and also a form of multiplicity... just not the ONLY one. they also helped dispell myths about DID, and gave links to accurate information about disordered plurality as well
there were people identifying as naturally and spiritually plural way, way before DID even got the name it has now, it's such a normal phenomenon that has numerous causes. sites like kinhost.org and Astraea's Web were all about discussing plurality without mentioning disorders, without passing judgment.
even so, the spiritual and natural multiplicity communities literally helped me realize i had DID. they gave me access to information about real people with DID like Trudy Chase and The Troops, and helped me research actual medical papers and documents. though a hard read, When Rabbit Howls helped me confirm that I also have DID... and I have only ever seen this book mentioned on sites run by non disordered systems. (lots of TWs for the book BTW please ask me or research before reading.)
we work best together. all system types make a great team. let's keep working together.

Hereâs some positivity for systems who are punk or pluralpunk!
Punks of any movement play key roles the movements they are a part of. Plural punks and those who are pluralpunk are not only important members of the plural community, but they helped make it into what it is today! Hereâs to all the pluralpunks out there, and the punks who are plural!
đ€ Shoutout to systems who are part of the pluralpunk subculture!
đ©Œ Shoutout to systems who are a part of madpunk, cripplepunk, crustpunk, solarpunk, straight edge, anarcho-punk, or other punk subcultures!
đ€ Shoutout to systems who push against oligarchy, monarchy, colonialism, imperialism, and authoritarianism, who are involved in leftist politics in their cities, and who fight back against unfair establishments!
đż Shoutout to systems who are poor or live in poverty while still finding ways to live punk lifestyles!
âïž Shoutout to systems who take part in mutual aid and give back to their communities!
đȘĄ Shoutout to systems who sew, cross-stitch, repair furniture and appliances, and know other skills to help prolong longevity of every day items!
đ” Shoutout to systems who are inspired by alternative and punk fashion and music!
âżïž Shoutout to disabled systems and those with chronic pain whose disabilities prevent them from learning DIY skills! We promise youâre just as punk even if you canât practice DIY!
đ Shoutout to systems who create flyers and zines, table at events, and help spread the word of the punk movement in their spaces!
đš Shoutout to systems who are punk artists, writers, musicians, filmmakers, and other creatives!
đ Shoutout to systems who are Black, Indigenous, or Asian punks, and to all punks who are people of color! Yâall are the pillars and cornerstones of these movements - have always been and always will be!
đ Shoutout to individual headmates who are punks in systems who arenât! Your punk identity is not invalidated in the slightest by not sharing punk culture with your system!
đą Shoutout to systems who stand up against and readily call out transphobia, homophobia, racism, xenophobia, and other forms of bigotry in their spaces!
Remember punk is a culture, a mindset, and a way of life! Thereâs no one right way to be punk - punk is by nature refusing conformity and living life on your own terms outside societal standards! So please embrace your identities as plural and punk, and feel free to express yourself and be yourself in punk spaces!
Weâre wishing the very best for you and your system in all that you do! Remember to stay safe and anonymous when engaging in direct action, keep yourself hydrated at punk shows and events, and give yourself plenty of breaks when crafting if you need them! Itâs punk to take care of ourselves in a world thatâs actively working against us! Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day!
(Image ID:) A pale orange userbox with a cluster of multicolored flowers for the userbox image. The border and text are both dark orange, and the text reads âall plurals can interact with this post!â (End ID.)

Otherkin Wiki is a new, independent wiki about the culture, history and experiences of otherkin and alterhuman communities. It evolved out of the Fandom wiki of the same name, and it needs your help to expand!
Basic info on how to help is already on the site itself. There's a lot more to do than just writing pages, and even correcting a single spelling mistake is an improvement! You can also join the Discord server to get guidance on all the stuff we haven't written documentation for yet. And even if you're not interested in directly contributing, you're welcome to join just to ask questions, make suggestions, or hang out!
Otherkin Wiki aims to be a highly visible, accessible and inclusive resource that represents the full truth and diversity of the alterhuman communities. That means it'll take a diversity of alterhumans to make it work - so please consider joining us!

Kinda hate how all narc positivity is just. âYouâre not evil!! Youâre not inherently bad and unworthy of oxygenâ like. Yeah I know. I feel like just saying âyou donât absolutely fucking suckâ is the bare minimum. Not so much positivity as reaffirming that yes, narcs are people. So hereâs some real positivity, I hope.
Narcissists are fucking cool! A lot of us know so much about people and socialising and thatâs epic of us! A bunch of my favourite people in the world are narcissists and yknow what? That isnât in spite of them being narcs, itâs along with them being narcs, because of them being narcs, because theyâd be different without NPD. They wouldnât be exactly the same as they are and the way they are is exactly the way I love them.
No, people arenât necessarily one with their disorders or whatever, but they absolutely are affected by them and with a personality disorder especially, that generally influences your personality! And I love the personalities of all my favourite narcs! There is nothing I would change about any of them!
I love âevilâ narcs! I am one! I love when we say âfuck it, maybe I am the villain, maybe I am evil.â Taking control of that narrative is so fucking sick and Iâm so into it!
I love âsoftâ or âgoodâ narcs! I love people who say âI am a narc and that makes me inherently pure and goodâ! Iâm so happy you think that way about yourself! Donât ever let someone tell you any different!
Narcs are so deserving of their supply and attention! If you need supply you can always come to me! You deserve to feel good, okay?
Narcissists are strong and beautiful. Itâs exhausting having NPD a lot of the time and dealing with that is a brilliant feat! Surviving days or weeks without supply, thatâs incredible! Iâm proud of all of us!
And I love the variety of us. I love how relationships can look so different for us. I love narcs. I love you.
