YAY oh i love these stupid old men. The headcanons (technically canon??) are more focused on their relationship dynamics so AJDHF

Their first impressions of each other aren't actually the best - out of all the League guys, they have the most turbulent relationship development. There's a lot that goes into this that I'll hopefully get into detail soon-ish! Just gotta say it takes a lot of intervention from Joyce for them to, at the very least, respect the other fully.

Despite this, they actually Really Work Well together especially when engineering gizmos and doodads and weapons, perhaps because of their different design philosophies: Angus is more focused on efficiency and firepower, Francisco is more focused on user safety and multi-purpose usage. They could really make some cool ass shit together...if they decide to get along a little better.

They bicker a loooot, and slapstick comedy happens a lot between them just like in canon. The only difference is Francisco's a bit more willing to backtalk AND slap Angus back. Don't worry it's enrichment for them <3

They do form very confusing feelings toward one another, despite all (or perhaps because) of all the said tension and bickering. Francisco gets the crush first and he's kind of accepted that quickly? He knows what he likes. However he hasn't been open about it yet because he still can't stand his attitude, and there's a lot more at stake if he just blurts a stupid crush out. Angus takes a while to fully Like like Francisco, and even then he'll probably be in denial for way longer. Because, oh my god, him of all people??! Unbelievable.

This is of course, unrelated to the fact that Angus REALLY hates it when Francisco yaps about Verte and Roz being SOOO heroic and so cool and WHATEVER. NO he's NOT jealous what are you TALKING ABOUT!?!?!?!

Angus doesn't smoke around Francisco. Mostly because Francisco nags on him nonstop about the Dangers of Sssmokingg and it pissed him off so bad...it becomes an unspoken habit of his.

Francisco learns a lot more about becoming a villain from Angus, being a seasoned villain himself. He's insufferable about it sure but Francisco can't deny that Angus knows what he's talking about.

I think eventually they'll find each other's company more than tolerable. Like they'd be the ones seen working with each other a lot. The bickering never goes away this is their way of communication now /lh The dancing comic and the hellforge introductory post kinda depicts That. stage of their relationship. Like they both start to humor each other like some kinda idiots
