decided to try out heavypaint for the first time, i like how easy it is to put colors on the canvas without getting caught up in the small details which i feel happens to me a lot on csp

Someone passed me a note in my math class and when I opened it it was a drawing of a hare. The hare looked at me and said, “The mountains have roots. They want the sky back.” And then the ink seeped through the paper until I was holding a completely black and soaked note.

One of my more outwardly baffling autistic traits is that often I will fully know that you're being sarcastic or joking & I'll just keep talking. I'll respond to it in earnest thinking I'm continuing the bit but I do it too flatly and everybody knows I'm autistic so they'll stop and be like hey that was a joke & I'm like I know

literally never underestimate how contagious kindness is. I saw on venmo that my friend had sent someone 5 dollars for coffee because she was having a bad day and I thought that was a cute idea and so I venmo’d a different friend coffee money when she had a huge assignment and now I have a huge assignment and that same friend sent me money for a chai latte. she doesn’t know the friend who taught me to do this but she learned it from me because I learned it from my first friend. like we are all learning from each other all the time and learning how to be kind anyway yeah buy your friends coffee do little favors for them tell them you love them. it’s cute and good

Just today I got to see a chess book that I remember reading as a little kid. While it didn't give me a lifelong passion for chess, it did give me a lifelong passion for fantasy for its artwork.

The book is "Chess for Young Beginners" from 1975, and here's some of the artwork:

Like, this artwork goes hard. I especially appreciate the colour scheme for the black pieces, with its browns, bronzes, reds and oranges.

This artwork is amazing, evocative, exciting and dramatic. I recommend giving it a look if you have a chance - you can probably scrounge up a PDF of this thing with a bit of searching.

I like how there’s a category of careers (cowboy, pirate, spy, princess) that have a very specific historical and political context that they get stripped of for the entertainment of children

okay so i'm looking for another project and i'm lacking some creative inspiration so here goes.... whatever organism BLAST says my ask is, i will try and make out of clay!!! hopefully no super thin parts or really tall but if that's what the BLAST gods deem appropriate, oh well.
