omigosh, it’ve broken me😨. Yesterday, i cried and shouted like a b*itch in my room. There’s so many things making me confused. My usual place to read Punpun is my bathroom 🚽 🛁

Some aiko and punpun! This manga changed my whole brain chemistry.

I couldn't decide which i preferred between the picture with only them colored or the picture with the background, so here are both!

I finished reading Asano's Goodnight Punpun this morning at around 6am, a running theme with Punpun so far. It's been a really long time since I've managed to sit down and engross myself in a story in the way I did while reading this. The themes and motifs used by Asano to show the complicated emotions and processes by and through which people grow was both addictive and terrifying to see progress and develop. I feel like with every chapter it's peeling back a further layer into the psyche of the characters and into the lives of people who go through life without pushing it to go in the direction they want it to go in. I was thinking to myself this morning there're a lot of scary concepts in the book but the scariest to me is that life will keep happening to you no matter what you do. It will continue and the path you're on isn't ever stationary. Even being stationary is its own movement.

I might make a longer post once I've had more time to think about Punpun, I might not. A lot of it felt deeply personal to me in a way that I don't know if I'd feel comfortable telling random people. In a lot of ways the book mirrored my life, by both contrast and reflection. I can't stop asking myself what kind of life I want. I hope I can build a life that makes me happy and I hope I can break the bounds that others have imparted on me to have my own non derivative life. I hope someday to see a friend smile at me because of me. I think that's all the happiness I want or need.
