Thank you! Not at all creepy. I think being able to be openly appreciative of others and complimentary is a beautiful thing. You are appreciated Vixen!

The Lovely Elayne Angel & Myself... And my piercing experience!
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and getting pierced by Elayne Angel (President of the APP & Author of “The Piercing Bible”). I have always wanted a septum piercing, but I never really liked the industrial looking jewelry. I LOVE dainty and feminine body jewelry. In more recent years, I have noticed that there are a lot more options when it comes to body jewelry, and that prompted me to move forward with that specific piercing. I actually saw Taye Heckard (Actress/Model) a couple of years back at an event, and she looked amazing. She had Goddess style braids and she was wearing all white, and had on all gold jewelry and her septum jewelry was a very thin gold ring. It was absolutely beautiful!
I was visiting www.piercingbible.com for reference purposes. I was never really interested in genital piercings for myself. All I had ever seen was the VCH, and although it looks great on some, I knew it wasn’t for me. But I stumbled across THE TRIANGLE piercing and I absolutely fell in love with it! I started doing my research, and I even looked in tumblr and found a beautiful photo of the ideal result of a triangle piercing. If you check out lipstickwhorror.tumblr.com, you can see her beautiful piercing (by APP member Whitney at piercingbywhitney.tumblr.com) and amazing custom jewelry from Anatometal, I did not get her permission to repost her photos. However if you want to see a badass triangle piercing go check it out!
Okay, so back to the story! I set up an online consult with Elayne to see if I was a candidate for the triangle piercing, and based on my selfies and angles, she said it appeared that I was. I immediately wanted to book my appointment, however she was completely booked for her LA appointments, but said I could be put on a waiting list. So I agreed, and paid my deposit. I believe I was about 3 weeks to a month out from the that she would be in LA. That was the longest time waiting. During my wait, I did receive an e-mail from Elayne, and she had a cancellation! I was really excited and 100% about going through with it.
I showed up a little late to my appointment do to the LA traffic. As soon as I walked in everyone was really great and welcoming. I provided my ID and signed the paperwork. She showed me the jewelry and sizing for both piercings, then she went into the room to set up the sterile environment. She called me in and explained everything to me and made sure I was fully aware of her process. I removed the clothing necessary for her to sterilize the area and she said, “Honey, I’m sorry, but your pictures did not show me what I’m seeing now, and the triangle would not be a good fit...”. My heart sank, BUT I trust her, she’s the professional and its a good thing that she was completely honest with me. So I love her for that! She had also showed me a mirror and explained why. She did a q-tip test, and said that I was a candidate for the VCH. For a second, I thought about it, but I knew that I didn’t want that from the beginning, so I declined.
I was trying to think of what else I could pierce, and I asked her if she could pierce my nipples. She looked at them and said yes. I had explained to her about my previous experience with the nipple piercing that I had. She looked for the appropriate barbell that I would need, and with just my luck... NOT IN STOCK! Lol! You know, sometimes you just cant force things, you just have to wait. With that being said. I made my deposit for her December LA trip for my nipple piercings!
**SIDEBAR: I had one pierced before, and it was so painful just for the one, I could not go through with it for the other one. The piercer did a shitty job, and I had such a hard time with rejection and healing that I eventually took it out. So boom #! That’s my back story!**
I almost forgot about my septum piercing! Okay, so Elayne explained everything to me and what she was going to do. I laid back she cleaned around in my nose, made her markings, manipulated the sweet spot, then boomchicka-chicka...it was done! It was completely painless until...she put the jewelry in. It actually was a slight snagging type of discomfort, not really painful. I sneezed like 6 times in a row, got a little teary-eyed, but that was it. the bleeding was micro-minimal. After a little photo op, she flipped my jewelry up so I could conceal it for work. I signed the rest of the paperwork along with receiving the after-care instructions. I left feeling on top of the world!
Lastly, I just wanted to say that Elayne is just the BEST! She just gives you the warm fuzzies, lol! So professional, kind and gentle. I love her, and I cant wait to see you Elayne in December! Also, Kira and Elizabeth from Ancient Adornments in WEHO are awesome as well. If you are in LA, thats the place to go!
