It makes me sad to see people ragging on canon-divergent blogs just because they’re inherently canon-divergent. Badly-written muses aside, almost everyone in my fandom is canon-divergent either in a small or big way because canon has royally fucked over our muses with bad writing and development. And I love writing with them because it’s way better than if everyone stuck to canon and had to jump through massive hoops that the canon writers ended up giving us to deal with.
