ANASTASIA ( 1997 ) SENTENCE STARTERS.
❛ you’ve been a thorn in my side since you were brought here. ❜
❛ i am grateful — grateful to get away ! ❜
❛ people always say life is full of choices, no one ever mentions fear. ❜
❛ why are you circling me? what, were you a vulture in another life? ❜
❛ i knew you were crazy from the beginning, but now i think you’re both mad. ❜
❛ it’s hard to think of yourself as a duchess when you’re sleeping on a damp floor. ❜
❛ i guess every lonely girl would hope she’s a princess. ❜
❛ see that you remember, you incompetent rodent ! ❜
❛ i guess a curse just ain’t what it used to be. ❜
❛ do you really think i’m royalty? ❜
❛ then stop bossing me around ! ❜
❛ look, i think we got off on the wrong foot. ❜
❛ don’t talk anymore, okay? it’s only going to upset me. ❜
❛ will you please remove him from my sight ? ❜
❛ she certainly has a mind of her own. ❜ / ❛ he certainly has a mind of his own. ❜
❛ i hate that in a woman. ❜ / ❛ i hate that in a man. ❜
❛ ah, an unspoken attraction. ❜
❛ attraction? to that skinny little brat? have you lost your mind? ❜
❛ oh, i’m sorry ! i thought you were someone el— oh, it’s you. well that’s okay then. ❜
❛ men are such babies. ❜
❛ if we live through this, remind me to thank you. ❜
❛ what do they teach you in those orphanages? ❜
❛ really, you should watch your blood pressure. ❜
❛ stress, it’s a killer. ❜
❛ it was a nightmare, it’s alright. you’re safe now. ❜
❛ my heart can’t take it anymore. ❜
❛ princesses don’t marry kitchen boys. ❜
❛ it was all a lie, wasn’t it ? ❜
❛ from the very beginning, you lied ! and i not only believed you, i actually — ugh ! ❜
❛ you used me? i was just part of your con to get her money? ❜
❛ now if you would excuse me, i’d like to live out the remainder of my lonely life in peace. ❜
❛ i’m probably about as stubborn as you are. ❜
❛ i’m tired of being conned and tricked. ❜
❛ please forget about the girl and get a life ! ❜
❛ this is no time to lose your head. ❜

super-shocker·:
“Well, you might as well give a tour around! “I’m quite intrigued, to say the least.”
He didn’t have the brightest clue on how his whole job operated, but he couldn’t stop pondering over it. Was it something among the lines of going to a child’s bedroom and frightening them to death? Must’ve involved some sort of home invasion, which was beyond his moral boundaries.
(Yet he still wanted to see for himself.)
“ A tour? ”
There was no way he could. For one, there was no child available for miles. Two, not all kids had the same fear. And lastly, it would have to be at a specific time. If he messed up, there was the possibility of being killed.
“ It depends. I’m sure I’ll find a way. ”

“So it’s not acquired, it’s a birth defect- that’s a clue.” He nods.
“I’m not sure I can be much of a use then in treatment, merely diagnosis. Most of the infants born with deformities in our town are simply disposed of. If not, they die before their first birthday”
“ Oh… ”
Sigh.
“ I assure you, I’ll leave by tomorrow morning. I don’t want to be a pest in your home. ”

Humans, that’s practically a dirty word in The Pride Lands. But, he could point Randall in the direction of the nearest exit out of the Pride Lands. It would get lizard-boy out of his hair and off his back.
“Uuuh… we got a fresh batch of them past the border.” Timon pointed out into the middle of nowhere. Making light of the fact they were talking about human beings like products you buy at the store.
“Third star to the right and straight on till morning.” Timon didn’t know where the heck humans are. Can you tell? If Randall threw him aside seeing that Timon was no use to his cause, that would be the best case scenario.
If Randall wanted to find humans, he had to do it himself.
Thats the impression Timon would like to give anyways.
But thinking Randall might get angry if he tries to, to put it frankly, bullshit him, Timon decides to give him a serious answer.
“There’s an African village about a mile from here.” There, now Timon was finally answering Randall’s question. “But they’re mostly framers and modern hunters.” “You show up there, they’ll make you into a leather jacket and sell you over seas.”
Timon was right, he would beyond irritated and put it out on him. He can sense that this animal has no idea. Still, he listens to him. Any socialization is pleasant.
Perhaps, he could be of assistance. Show him where it is exactly and leave. They would have to go there at night when the villagers were fast asleep. No casualties could occur. Not because he would feel guilt, more for wasted potential.
“ Go with me and help me, I’ll allow you to move to a much better place. With endless food and water. Nothing will try to kill you. ”

The fiercest of creatures which the Cetus had faced appeared to be a relative of the more familiar saltwater crocodile, but with a blunter snout and decidedly mellower disposition. As far as transversing through the murky, swampy bayou was concerned, this situation provided a novel terrain for Bruce. The closest environment in which he had ever explored would have been the mangrove forests along the Australian coasts.
But the muddy banks and pungent smell of decay differentiated itself greatly from any mangrove Bruce had ever been through in his life.
Suddenly, he stopped, growing rigid in alertness as a scent met his nostrils; unlike before, this creature was not any average crocodilian. It smelled much different. Too different. A predator? Some strange human? Cautiously, the Cetus lowered his snout to the ground, attempting to pinpoint the source.
@ofscaring
Once he was banished, he had to rely on darker instincts to survive. He’s done things he before found disgusting and macabre. Nowadays, it’s done daily. Such as gorging on carcasses just to satisfy his hunger. Crimson teeth are bared when he hears the water shift.
He lowers his body, stomach grazing along the soggy ground. The monster is on all limbs for quick speed in case he needs to dash. Whatever this thing is, it’s great at being hidden.
When he catches a glimpse of a tail, he feels a hitch in his breath. Now, it was too late to run.

“Personally I don’t know yet.”
His demeanor became much more serious when the topic shifted to medicine.
“Might be a skin condition, as you seem to be functioning otherwise. Perhaps some nerve damage as well, considering your facial features and movement. It may be a result of some kind of toxin, though I’m not sure. I’d need more information.”
“ Oh, really? ”
Dang, he didn’t notice that disastrous problem. No wonder kids are petrified of him. He’s got the look of a mannequin that’s been run over multiple times.
“ I just remember being born and having this appearance. My parents didn’t seem bothered. ”

“Is that so?”
He questioned, placing his pincer atop of the chin. Well, considering he was a monster and all, it occurred to him that only only mean one thing…he was the living incarnation of the Bogeyman!
“So, you’re practically claiming to frighten young ones into good behavior?”
It was a sickening thought. But his curiosity was not only piqued, it was fully at its heels. How could this wretched reptile live with himself? As much as he hated to admit, Tentomon would actually pay to witness such untold horrors from the shadows.
“ I guess. ”
He wasn’t. If he told the truth, it would make the creature run for the hills. Nobody likes a scary story that turns out to be the twisted reality. Monsters from his world never thought much about morals.
“ It’s a stable job. ”
And he does like a good adrenaline rush.

The female blinks; it seems she’s beginning to calm down a bit.
“Well, where I come from, the big lizards with the sharp teeth aren’t exactly good conversationalists…”
She crosses her arms, large ears perking up. Monstropolis? She thinks for a moment, before simply shrugging. Didn’t ring a bell.
“Vivian Theftus from Forrestria,” she states, finally allowing a grin, “You can call me Scourge.” Scourge tilts her head to the side as she continues. “I’ve never heard of Monstropolis before. Is it on this planet?”
“ Randall Boggs. ”
It makes sense she’s never heard of it. He should have realized that sooner. She looks nothing like a monster. Then again, so does Sullivan.
“ I don’t believe so. I don’t remember too much when it comes to astronomy. ”
