actually i think it's so cool that between the various mediums the danger days universe is shown through, there's no consistently canon narrative across them all. i think it just adds to one theme of the album that in the end, for better or worse who you are is just the afterimages you leave behind, your presence in the memories of those you met. nothing is truly permanent to the desert and its survivors so everything, everyone is evolving, including the dead. so in a way, maybe every story we tell about the killjoys can be true too
