               IT TOOK MIA COMPLETELY OFF guard when the stranger sat in front of her. the brunette frowned slightly , mirroring the girl’s discretion as she read the napkin. her heart pounded. “ i got , um .. those mushroom cap things. ” mia got out her phone & popped up her notes. ‘ do you know the person? are you safe? ’ she passed the other her phone as casually as possible & waited for a response.

“hey !” holly greeted cheerfully, sliding into the other side of the booth they were sitting at. “sorry i’m late.. have you been waiting long ?” she asked, knowing full well she and this person had never made plans to meet. as she spoke, she discreetly slid a napkin across to them. written on it was, ‘i think i’m being followed.’ “have you ordered any appetizers yet ?” holly asked, sounding casual as ever as she picked up a menu.

                 MIA HAD BEEN ON HER WAY BACK  home from the park with kamryn ( the 4-year-old daughter of the family she works for ). the walk was a solid 20 minutes & kamryn was starting to get heavy. 10 minutes into the walk , mia decided to take a small break and let the little girl have a snack. her head turned towards the unfamiliar voice as it spoke. “ beautiful. ” she smiled ; placing kamryn beside her. “ this kind of weather always puts me in a good mood. ”

     “—my actual name is jonathan byers and i’m from hawkins, indiana—” she listened to the video she had made explaining who she really was, tugging out her earbuds in frustration. she just didn’t trust anybody anymore. ever since she had waken up and realised something was wrong, her mind had went to the worst. it went to the thought that they were all being monitored again or that she had been taken and brought somewhere. if anything, she was hoping that she’d find her real family soon or even get to know that if they were somewhere else, that they were safe. toying with the ring that rested on her left hand, a tiny smile rested on her lips as she noticed someone sit down near her. “it’s a pretty nice day, huh?”

            HER THOUGHTS SEEMED LIKE mashed potatoes. mia’s memories of her past-self were slowly resurfacing & truthfully .. it was a lot to take in. she knew her name is kara .. she knew a girl named alice .... “ oof ! ” mia stumbled backwards : walking into someone had brought her back to reality. “ no , no .. my fault. i should have payed more attention. ” she blinked twice before dusting herself off. “ are you okay ? ”

abbott held her notebook close to her, glancing down at the names she’d written down since her memories had come back. these were the people she had to find. she’d already found eleven and lucas, and now came the rest. she was so trapped in her thoughts that she’d hardly noticed where she was going, her petite body slamming into another person the same way a linebacker might break a line. “oh, shit – !” she exclaimed, stumbling back. “my bad!”

she somewhat remembers her past life but not fully. she remembers her name and a little girl named Alice

+ caring, loyal, humorous - reckless, nervous, secretive

she’s a full-time caretaker & babysitter for a family but is looking for a new job because the parents aren’t nice

^^ but she’s very good with kids & people in general

not a bad bone in her body unless someone gives her a reason to be

she started to regain her memory only recently ( about 3 / 4 months ago )
