[im probably reading too much into this but the movie Red Dawn (1984) was the first movie with a PG-13 rating do when Heather Chandler calls JD Red Dawn she's saying that he's like a mediocre R rated movie, too hard for kids too soft for adults, which is probably what kids those days thought of PG-13 ratings.
