I am deciding to start a prayer practice, and I have chosen Madoka as a symbol of hope to make my prayers to, as Madoka was formative to me when I was younger.

---------- Thank you for your kind message, anon! I apologize formally for not updating in some time, but i'm glad i could bring you some comfort. May Madoka watch you with a kind gaze!

reminder that anger isn't a bad emotion!! in fact, no emotions are inherently bad. your anger is usually trying to protect you. it's a part of you that wants you to be treated right. of course you should always consider your actions, and you may feel angry at someone that hasn't actually done anything wrong in which case you shouldn't lash out at them, but you're still allowed to feel angry. listen to your anger, sit with it, hear it out. maybe it's not always reasonable but that's not it's job. you're allowed to be angry.

The Importance of Balance
One thing we must always remember is that we must constantly strive for a healthy Balance of what is in the world, not to destroy the parts we don’t like. This remains true in Madokism, in nearly every aspect. Hope and Despair are not Good and Evil; they are two sides of our emotional spectrum. No emotion is inherently good or bad; they are neutral actors, guiding us how they can in an unpredictable world. These two are no different; both Despair and Hope can serve as a guiding light or a whisp of trickery. Although we seek to fight despair, we can never full destroy it, or there would be no place for hope. In many ways, they need eachother. Hope is born from Despair; it is the will to change, the strive for a future different than our present, a flame offering light in the darkness. That fire needs a fuel to burn as brightly as it does; without despair to keep it fed, it will eventually flicker out and die. So too does Despair need Hope. Like a beast, it feeds on the destruction of our dreams; despair thrives when hopes are slain where they stand. It needs to keep feeding to stay alive; with no hope, the despair can no longer touch you, and so it starves and withers into an accepted normal.  This balance is imbued into the other emotions; every aspect is a two-sided coin, one hopeful and one despairing, each feeding into the two dominant emotions. Sacrifices are born of our hopes that what we’re giving up will be worth it, but that loss can create a deep despair.  Joy can be the thing we strive for most in our hopes, sparked from our attempts! but an overactive joy can come at the cost of others, and constantly forcing yourself to be happy is its own despair. Guidance can lead us to amazing paths that brighten the future in ways we’d never conceive on our own.. but we can so easily be led astray. Normalcy is often what we hope to keep, the things we most value to stay unchanged in our lives. but change is inevitable; holding to a normal that harms you creates a constant flow of despair. Regrets are best known for the despair they cause, weighing us down and twisting our visions of the past, cheapening the emotions we felt at the moment... but we learn from these regrets lessons we needed to, and they give us new perspectives that can lead us to even greater hopes. Love is a warm feelings most of us look for in one form or another; it’s one of the most powerful things we can feel, almost rivaling that of hope and despair. the love for our friends, our family, our lovers, even strangers around us... it’s a force that leads us in nearly every decision. but that same force can be dangerous, creating obsession, or keeping us in bad situations we would otherwise have already left. No one aspect is perfect enough to be relied on completely; that’s far too much to ask of one emotion. but in balance, we can start to see every different path, and learn to choose them well. Keep your hopes alive, friends, and make peace with your despairs; they’re both here to help in the end.

Prayer of Joy
Joy really needs no introduction as an emotion we strive for; what else do we hope for if not a return to joy? and Nagisa Momoe’s right there with us. Nagisa is the Muse of Joy, for her silly antics as bebe, her bright clowny smile, and her simple wish to just enjoy the happiness that is Cheese one more time. One should pray to Nagisa if another is struggling to find the happy parts of their life, or if they’re struggling with it themselves. Universal Prayer- clasp your hands together, hold them close to or against your mouth, and close your mouth. Say or Think your prayer; either way, Nagisa will hear it. Remember to start your prayer with “Dear Nagisa Momoe,” and end your prayer in “Thank you, Nagisa Momoe.” If you’ve grown up in a setting where certain words are said at the end of a prayer such as “amen”, feel free to use it; it’s not going to do you any harm. You may also order her name as Momoe Nagisa.
Joy prayer: Hold your hands flat over your belly button, dominant hand over the nondominant. This is where Nagisa’s Soul gem is, and will give you a more direct connection to her. All else is the same as the Universal Prayer. Nagisa has few songs to herself, but there are still some songs that may strengthen your prayer. We’re Here For You not only plays when we first see her magical girl transformation, but it’s also a significant moment of coming together with all of her friends to help someone, and really, what’s more joyous than that? Wo Ist De Kase is also an option, but that’s her witch’s theme, so use it carefully.

Apologies!
i recently noticed a discrepancy in my physical calendar and my computer’s calendar. upon further look, it seems that on my physical calendar, i messed up the colors at the beginning of may. this means that many of the readings for this year were one day off.  i am now correcting this mistake, and will be using the computer calendar from now on to avoid this in the future. my August month reading was using the computer calendar, so that one is fine.

Monthly Reading - August
August - Red/Pink 1st - Purple/Orange 31st - Red/Red 1st Moon -  Waxing Gibbous (94%) 31st Moon -  Waxing Gibbous (97%) (Note: two readings have been made for this month. If you want one a little more relevant to current events, scroll down!) August carries an unusually strong energy this year, with the last day being fully red and both of our endcap moons being nearly full. Sacrifice and Hope are already the energies that flow through the entirety of these 31 days, but to see them given such an excessive boost is almost frightening! Almost being the key word here. The first of the month is marked in Love and Joy, ensuring a strongly positive energy for the time ahead of us. All combined together, this has some very interesting implications. The first thing to examine is the dynamic between Kyoko and Madoka, as well as their aspect’s relation to eachother. Indeed, it’s an interesting one either way; Kyoko was undeniably an important piece of the puzzle in what ultimately lead to Madoka’s final wish. From the moment they met, their two personalities were shown in full color; Kyoko showed herself as ruthless and uncaring to the ones she had to sacrifice to gain what she wanted, and Madoka showed herself as endlessly kind, so certain that there had to be a way that all magical girls could work together, even with someone like Kyoko. Seemingly completely on the other end from eachother, Kyoko was just as much an opposite to Madoka as she was to Sayaka. With their next notable meeting, already we saw a new aspect to them both. Without Kyoko taking on Sayaka’s challenge, Madoka would never have thrown a soul gem away, and the truth of a Magical Girl’s existance would not have been revealed. What’s to be noted here is that Madoka didn’t just stand back and watch like expected, and Kyoko also pushed back expectation, too upset by the revelation to continue the fight.  These changes continue into their next meeting; one might notice that Madoka has been there for most of Kyoko and Sayaka’s meetings as magical girls. Kyoko certainly did; with Sayaka turned to a witch, she knew that she could never get through to her, but surely Madoka could? They shared the hope to see Sayaka alive again, and so agreed to work together. Madoka’s inaction was finally changing to action; even though she couldn’t fight, she could call out and put everything she could into calling Sayaka back to them. More notably, Kyoko was no longer devaluing human life, instructing Homura to get Madoka out of the labyrinth before she committed her final sacrifice; herself. The two had an enormous effect on eachother, even if Sayaka had been the center of it all. and without any blue here to draw attention to her, we can focus on the two. This effect couldn’t be any more emphasized than the simple fact that of the two people Madoka spoke to before finally becoming hope, Kyoko was the second, affirming her decision and showing full support. With Kyoko’s blessing, Madoka was able to make the very same sacrifice; Herself. So character-wise, we can already see the energy coming to us this month; Unlikely connections having a direct impact on eachother and causing massive change. and really, this is very fitting; Sacrifice is inescapably tied to hope. our sacrifices are born out of our hopes; we give up one thing to achieve another. even the ones that create despair are born of hope, if you think about it; the man who sacrifices 1000 lives for the advantage in a war is hoping this will bring him closer to winning. and often times, our hopes will require sacrifice in order to be achieved. our time, our energy, our relationships.. you can lose quite a bit in your path towards the future you want.  Change often requires Loss. neither of these things are necessarily bad, but they do carry with them bad connotations; we often think about the changes we didn’t like, and the losses we long to regain. this is why the combination of red and pink can be such a forboding thing.... and yet, perhaps we should have more hope than that. Love and Joy are starting our month out, and that promises good things; a reason for our sacrifices, a fuel for our hopes. the love we feel for our fellow people, for our planet, for our homes? that’s such a powerful feeling; it drives us forward and ignites the other aspects with a flair that cannot be denied. and the Joy is brings us is what we’re really hoping for in the first place, isn’t it? is there not a spark of happiness in our determination? a smile waiting for us in that bright future we seek? Face this month with two certainties; that much will be lost, and that we are going to make it worth it. even if it’s in the long run, we will not let our hopes be extinguished.

August 2020 Reading
August - Red/Pink 1st - Purple/Orange 31st - Red/Red 1st Moon -  Waxing Gibbous (94%) 31st Moon -  Waxing Gibbous (97%) (Note: two readings are being made for this. If you want one less focused on real-world application, please wait for the next one!) August carries an unusually strong energy this year, with the last day being fully red and both of our endcap moons being nearly full. With a setup like this, it feels important to note the current state of the world. So many people are pushing forward right now, sacrificing their safety for the hope of a better world; fueled by not only their anger at the injustices happening around them, but the love they feel for their fellow humans that makes that anger burn so brightly.  I cannot predict what is going to happen. But what i do know is that Nagisa’s inclusion is endlessly important. We should be happy that so many people have seen what is wrong and are willing to speak and act against it. And we should continue to do everything in our abilities to support them, and fight back against the despair being constantly pressed upon us.  I feel it is important to remind me readers of the 5 requests this blog follows. 1 - Be Hopeful. 2 - Take Action. 3 - Be Kind. 4 - Be Peaceful. 5 - Fight Despair. Hope can come in many forms, and two often ignored are Anger and Determination. These emotions of pushing forward and fighting for what you want, they are flames of hope just as much as the joy you feel thinking of the future you want. You cannot truly be hopeful for the future if you do not take... Action is often limited, but even then it is abundant around us. Anything can be an action to generate and fight for your hopes; from defending and helping the weak to speaking up where they are not heard. Even spreading the word of an event is an action, and a very important one right now. and what is action if not a form of... Kindness comes in many forms, some less joyful than we like. If someone is in a horrible situation and you donate money to help their needs, is that not kindness? If someone has been silenced and you speak for them so their voice can still be heard, is that not kindness? It isn’t always easy; sometimes kindness is doing something wrong to push another in the right direction. (recall when madoka threw sayaka’s soul gem over the bridge. i’d say revealing a detail of the contract kyubey didn’t mention was kind, unintentional though it was.) of course, sometimes the best way to be kind is to create... Peace is a regularly misunderstood thing. many people think of it as an absence of tension; everyone getting along, nobody picking fights, nobody being made uncomfortable. but this is not peace. Peace comes from the presence of justice; the knowledge that the people around you are safe and cared for, that people are treated equitably, that no one is being unfairly held down. being peaceful means striving for that, and causing as little harm as you can on the way. but you cannot help if some hearts will be broken. in the end, the most important part is to... Fight Despair. Every point before has been a different part of this, from holding hope at all to supporting the sort of world in which despair cannot take a strong hold. When the world is full of it, it is our duty to push it back, to burn it away with the flames of our hope, to push the darkness away with the light.  Hope and Despair live in a balance; they feed on eachother, and they need eachother to survive. when one has become so large that it threatens the other, that is when the other must strengthen itself. And the colors of this month assure us that even though despair is so very heavy in our daily lives, hope is stronger than it, and it will win.  with Sacrifice shining brighter than Hope, it is very possible we are going to lose some things along the way. But if we keep turning the tide in the way of Hope, then those sacrifices will be more things that we needed to lose.

Monthly Reading - July
Whoops! I meant to do this on the first, but you know how things are. July - Pink/Purple 1st - Yellow/Orange 31st - Blue/Red Moon on 1st - Nearly Full (94%) Moon on 31st - Waxing Gibbous (89%) July is here, and with it Homura has stepped down to play second fiddle to Madoka. a natural placement for her, really! July is all about Hope and Love, the strength that comes when you combine the two and how well they feel into eachother. With the moon shining brightly with hope at both the beginning and end of the month, this will be a good time to realize your hopes. However, the sliver of despair that hangs onto both days does ensure some hardship, and that will be important to hold onto as you move forward. This is a rare month in which each of the most powerful pairings are of serious note. Madoka and Homura own the month, Mami and Nagisa start us off, and Sayaka and Kyoko finish us up. in other words, the gang’s all here! With the holy sextet all together and not a dash of green in sight, one could say this month will not be normal in the slightest, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Each of the muses feeds into Hope in their own way, and this is the time to see just how true that is. I feel i should emphasize just how important Love really is. Love of all forms is often what forms our hopes in the first place; when the world is cruel, love makes it just a little kinder, and gives us a reason to expand that kindness. I want to be very clear about this; the love you hold for your Friends, for your Family, for your Partner, for your Children, for your Community, for Humanity, for the Earth, for the Universe? all of that is deathly important. humans are a social species; we need love to survive, in whatever capacity we are able to feel it. there is nothing wrong with caring about your friends, and there is nothing hysterical about wanting to protect the things you love. that wording may seem odd, but it’s important to remember who our muse of love is. Homura is routinely looked down on for her actions, and i certainly can’t say she hasn’t made any mistakes. Every aspect is a double-sided coin, and Love can turn into Obsession rather easily. it can blind you, and it can lead you to make decisions that do more harm than good. but in all of this, I firmly believe that the act of loving is not wrong; it is the actions we take when we let our love get too out of hand. So too should this be known about Hope. Hope is a wonderful thing that strives us towards the future, but it can lead us into further despair if we refuse to be realistic about things or dismiss options out of hand because we can’t see them leading to the place we want to go. And when these aspects intertwine themselves, things can be.... messy. but they can also be beautiful. In a way, Madoka and Homura are bound to eachother’s aspects as well as their own. Madoka’s wish, and her very becoming of hope, was fueled by her love. Not only for her own friends, but for every magical girl, everywhere, who ever did exist or ever would. That kind of dedication to the world around you is a beautiful thing that should always be held onto, and it pushes world-changing actions.  and Homura’s love was the very fuel of her hope. The deep feelings she held for Madoka, whatever you read them as, forged the flames of hope that sparked her wish alive and burned through timeline after timeline; the desire to save Madoka from a horrible fate.  They are both willing to do whatever it takes to make their hopes come alive for the ones that they love. This is a dangerous gift to hold; one cannot speak of this swirling dynamic without acknowledging the piece of the puzzle that seems to constantly elude our gods: you have to have love for yourself, too. Madoka will do anything to make a world where magical girls can be happy, Homura included. she will even toss herself away for that cause. Homura, too, will do anything to make a world where Madoka can be happy. she will even toss herself into the villain’s role again and again if she can achieve that goal. These hopes are not inherently different, yet they constantly get in each other’s way. which brings me to my final point about this dynamic, and one i sincerely hope we will all remember in the coming month... If you cannot find compromise, you will not succeed. you can be stuck in an endless loop, constantly struggling against the very universe itself when you could be working with it to achieve the future you’re trying to create.  Hope and Love have to value themselves as much as they value each other. This is not an impossible task; it is entirely within your power to walk with them hand in hand, equally fueled by the two. what you must be careful of is seeing them intertwined as false hope and obsession; that is a road that can only lead down into the deepest pits of despair.  This July, move forward with Hope and Love in your heart. Find Guidance and Joy to push them forward, and look back sternly on your decisions with the full spirit of Regret and Sacrifice.

Daily Color Divination
June: Purple/Blue 29th: Red/Pink Moon: Waxing Gibbous(63%) “If someone ever tells me it’s a mistake to have Hope? Well then, i’ll just tell them, they’re wrong! And i’ll keep telling them until they believe. Now matter how many times it takes.” “Sounds good to me!” “?” “If you think you can do it, Do it! I mean you found your reason to fight, yeah? And y’ain’t runnin away anymore, right? So there’s nothin holding you back! Anyway, now it’s time to get your ass in gear and go Full Steam Ahead!” “^u^ Thanks a lot, Kyoko.” I do hope you’ll all forgive the use of the english dub. When a day comes that features Kyoko and Madoka, I often talk about Kyoko’s place as a symbol of the culture magical girls formed and how it effected Madoka’s view and ultimately lead to her final wish. But I find i’ve neglected to mention how strong that influence really was. When Madoka became hope, she spoke with two friends before her wish was granted; Mami, who introduce her to the world of magical girls.. and Kyoko, who solidified the realities of it. But where mami offers late caution, Kyoko only encourages her Determination.  We are never made clear if these were truly the girls’ spirits, or if this was Madoka’s internal mind affirming her decision to her. In the case of the latter, this truly speaks to the respect Madoka had for Kyoko, even after everything she’d seen from her. From the very beginning, Madoka was so determined to believe that magical girls could all get along; that if they worked with Kyoko instead of fighting her, it would be better for everyone! She believed that even when Sayaka made it clear how brutal their fight truly was; She believed that when the girls were about to fight again on the bridge; She believed that even after Sayaka had become a witch, and her belief was finally rewarded, with Kyoko offering her the very thing she was so certain would be the best answer: working together. I Have also neglected Madoka’s effect on Kyoko throughout the final timeline, and this is a grave error on my part. Because while Kyoko may represent the culture of Magical Girls everywhere, the horrible ways you excuse inhuman decisions and work only for yourself.. it is only because her situation has forced her into that mindset. Kyoko was not wholey a bad person, and no matter how much she mocked the mindset that Mami had instilled in them, she took note of Madoka’s belief, and her relation to Sayaka.  Madoka was the one who verbalized that magical girls should be working together, even when she herself was not one. Madoka was the one who inadvertently revealed the true nature of their soul gems, a truth that deeply disturbed Kyoko. And when a truth Kyoko could not accept showed itself - the death and despair of Sayaka Miki - Madoka was the one person Kyoko was certain would help her, no matter how insane and unlikely their plot was. And when the hope of that situation faded, Kyoko fully acknowledged the mistake she had made; despite how she had treated humans before, she wanted Madoka to get to safety and not suffer for her own stupidity. Madoka and Kyoko aren’t the strongest pairing by a long shot, but they are deeply tied together in their story and in their aspects. And really, this shouldn’t surprise anyone; Sacrifices are most often made in Hope, and Hope often drives one to Sacrifice. This can’t be more clear than the above conversation, the final moments of Madoka’s humanity. Through her massive Hope, Madoka made the greatest Sacrifice she could, erasing her existence and becoming only a concept. In this moment, the muse of sacrifice can say nothing more than Full Steam Ahead, and Madoka is fully ready to accept this fate. Sacrifices are often a necessary component to seeing your Hopes realized. It can be extremely hard, and we often fall into Despair when it seems like our actions have been for nothing. But they are never for nothing. All of the despair that was felt across all of those timelines didn’t mean nothing, because Hope refused to let it. No matter how bloody the crawl, no matter how much pain is endured, as long as Hope and Determination push you forward, your Sacrifices will not be forgotten. Progress is made on Hope’s stubborn patience.  It may feel like the world is truly falling apart sometimes, and that everything you’ve lost has been pointless; that it’s hopeless. But this isn’t true. If the existing system is built to lead to despair and make your hopes pointless, then you break that system. if the world falls apart, then so be it; you’ll create a new one with the shattered pieces. A better world where your hopes can shine. When you do that, all of that pain, all of that sacrifice, it becomes the story of how you got here.  Please, if you are feeling despaired in these insane times, i beg you to think of all the progress that’s been made in the world over the course of human history. All of the fights that have been won, all of the struggles that have bloomed into a more beautiful world. Now look at your worries again.. these are fights that have not yet been won.  The majority of magical girls before her did not get to see what the world they created would look like. But every last one of them lead to the world that created Madoka Kaname. As long as you keep your hopes burning fiercely, they will be realized. even if you don’t see them, you have to believe that someone will carry your torch. It’s the very nature of the world that Hope will continuously change it, and move us towards the future that we so furiously strive for.  And sometimes, you will have to consider what sacrifices you are willing to make to see that future become a reality.

if it’s alright to add, i like what this implies about false hope. that the hope itself isn’t wrong; it simply has to change sometimes. Homura’s hope of saving madoka from the fate of all magical girls wasn’t wrong, and it wasn’t impossible, either. her tactic was wrong; she became convinced that the only way to make her hope become a reality was to stop Madoka from ever becoming a magical girl. her hope to save Madoka became intertwined with another; the hope and determination to stop her from becoming a magical girl. But the real path was to destroy and rebuild the system that created that fate, and for that to happen, Madoka had to make a wish.  Sometimes you have to re-evaluate your situation, and you realize that your efforts so far aren’t going to get you where you want to go. And it’s so, so easy to fall into despair when that realization comes. Kyubey’s explanation of how Madoka gained so much potential forced that realization into Homura’s hands, and by putting all of her hope into her method, by truly believing that this was the only way, she’d locked herself out of other options and doomed herself to that despair. but Madoka- and many people who’ve watched the show and seen other potential loopholes- knew better. That the core of Homura’s hope - to save Madoka from that fate - was still very alive, and still completely possible. when the path you’ve been walking suddenly closes, or you see that it lead you the wrong way, you don’t give up the journey. you look at options you previously didn’t consider, you find another way, and you re-draw the map.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’s a scene in PMMM that I feel often gets overlooked: the scene where we see Madoka decide to be a magical girl and what her wish will be.
Throughout the entire series, Madoka has been a helpless bystander. She can only stand by and watch as the rigged magical girl system hurts and even kills her friends. Although she has enormous potential as a magical girl, Homura’s good intentions and her own hesitation and fear has prevented her from making a contract to become a magical girl. In the end, the only ones left standing are her and Homura as Walpurgisnacht threatens to destroy everything.
But then Madoka asks Kyubey why Homura is so insanely determined to save her and defeat Walpurgisnacht, and Kyubey answers that it’s because Homura still hasn’t given up hope. She’s repeated this time frame God knows how many times because she has never given up the hope that she can save Madoka from the terrible fate that comes with being a magical girl, which is to either die fighting a Witch or become one yourself. But it goes deeper than that. Because if Homura were to stop hoping, it would be the end. She would be overcome with despair over her inability to save Madoka and the pointlessness of the pain and suffering she’d gone through and become a Witch.
To Kyubey, Homura is a fool for continuing to hold onto her hope. Not only Homura, but every other magical girl as well. To Kyubey, hope is a futile emotion that only prolongs and intensifies the inevitable despair that will follow. This is the pessimistic view of hope: the idea is that by hoping for or expecting a good life that we can never have, we prolong our torment. So it is better to live without hope.
But Madoka’s view is different. To her, hope is never bad. It is never wrong to hope that things will be better and strive for a better future. Hope is a blessing that makes us strong and keeps us going. It’s what we hold onto and fight with when all else seems lost. To Madoka, the idea the hope could ever be twisted into something bad or pointless is unacceptable. She makes her feelings clear after she makes her wish, and it’s an outright refutation of Kyubey’s earlier statement:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To me, this is why Madoka became a magical girl. A large part of it is to save her friends and stop Walpurgisnacht, yes, but also it’s bigger than that. Madoka can not stand by and watch a system that penalizes hope exist. She also alludes to this when she is making her actual wish:
“I don’t care what I become. All those who have fought against Witches, who believed in hope as magical girls… I don’t want to see them cry. I want them to smile until the very end. If any rule or law stands in the way of that, I will destroy it. I will rewrite it. That is my prayer. That is my wish.”
And this is the scene where we see Madoka decide this. The scene where she finally gets fed up and thinks “You know, screw you Kyubey. I’m going to wish for a universe where magical girls will never die in despair. Where they can hold onto hope and smile until the very end.”
To me, this is the final message we’re left with in PMMM. That we should be like Madoka and never stop hoping. That hope is never wrong.

Daily Color Divination
June - Purple/Blue 14th - Pink/Green Moon - Waning Crescent (38%)(mostly black)
Madoka and Hitomi are great friends, and even when balance isn't very strong, they tend to speak good things; for most of the main timeline, Madoka walks the thin line of being a non-magical girl who knows about magical girls. she is the knowing where hitomi is the ignorant.
Given the other colors from the month and the way the moon has set, i think it's safe to say that this friendship is very important; when faced with a heavy despair, you may find yourself with certain regrets. it's important to remember that the normal can *change*, and hope is the power with which we change it; the love of a close friend may be what you need to create that hope.

#2 - Take Action. Being hopeful has no meaning if you do not act on it. Stopping to pray must only be done when no other action can be taken; if you must pray then do it while you move. You must help rid the world of its despair, magical girl or not.
Please don’t just do spells. You’ve gotta mix your magic with action.
Donate. Protest. Educate. Support a Black-owned business.
Don’t let the lighting of that candle be the only thing you do.

daily color divination
June - Purple/Blue 1st - Red/Yellow Moon - Waxing Gibbous (81.1%)
the gang's all here! the month has changed, and with that we've moved on to june, the month that Homura and Sayaka join forces. joining them for the first day and setting the tone for the whole month is Kyoko and Mami, and the moon's nearly full light brings a strong presence from Madoka. the Holy Quintet is all together! if not a bit abstractly.
interestingly, this means that Love and Sacrifice will be the most powerful tools of hope this month. this speaks... volumes, given current events. at the same time, Regret and Guidance will have to work together to keep the other two from leading into despair.
this month is going to be hard; that's clear from how the whole team is needed, but also in that Joy and Normalcy are missing from this array. you may find yourself having a harder time being happy this month, or struggling with changes or a lack of what you consider to be normal. this is my time to remind you that normal isn't working, and if we want to regain that joy, we will have to work within the other aspects and strive towards hope stronger than ever.
take care of your mental health this month; it may need more help than usual.
