lexi frowned as she stared at what was left of the crime scene, staying on the edge of the taped off area. she was pissed that some vampiric dumbass was making it difficult for her to enjoy what was supposed to be a fun visit with her best friend. "someone there?" she asked bluntly when she sensed a presence nearby. as long as they refrained from causing trouble she could let them keep to themselves if that was what they preferred.

Bonnie really hadn't slept since she came across Matt in the shape he was in. She tried (oh she tried) but each time she was launched into a dream in which she ended up with blood on her hands. It all felt so real because it had been. She had touched his blood. She had felt his heart struggling to beat. Thank God, she hadn't been alone.

A knock came at her door and she snapped out of her fog. Shuffling to the door, she opened it, ready to send whoever she found away.

spying on his siblings from a distance had become increasingly difficult as centuries passed. eyes were everywhere and in the past decade people had grown a nasty habit of feeling the need to record everything "yes, i am aware it may seem strange but - no!" he whisper shouted into his phone just before feeling a tap on his shoulder. "i will have to call you back." he hung up his phone and spun around to face whoever felt the need to interrupt his not so subtle stalking.

isabella was unsuccessfully trying to rip open a package of chips with her teeth. she frowned at the chip bag before getting the attention of a passerby. "hi, excuse me. could you hold my bag for just a minute? i just need two hands to get this stubborn thing open apparently."

munching on a fry, her gaze remain locked on her phone screen. a news article covering the aftermath of the recent event is pulled up, and she reads it with morbid fascination. she finally looks up after a moment, meeting @ofcvrnage's gaze. ❛ this town just can't catch a break, can it? ❜ she hums, appearing as if she can't decide if she finds it bemusing or sad. she takes a sip of her wine, contemplating all the possibilities of what could happen next.

Katherine listened to him and bit her lesser lip in thought . Something she had always done in small moments , whether she is in deep thought or flirting . ❝ ⸻ I'm happy you let go. He grimaced at the simple thought of having to reveal himself to her like this, an apparent stranger. Damon has long since abandoned his touchy-feely attitude about almost everything. Of course he'd thought about her more nights than not. Still, revealing himself to Elena just didn't seem... likely, at least not in that decade, century. "You're probably mistaking me for my brother. There are some things you just have to let go after... a while," he raised one eyebrow and drowned his words with some more bourbon. A while wasn't even close. "It leaves me at drunk, bored and adventurous, thanks for asking." Adventurous, a funny way to say homicidal, temperamental, violent. "I'd rather give him some space for now, not ruin my surprise of being back in town. Don't tell him, that is. We wouldn't want to ruin the surprise, right?" Damon grinned only to lose that grin upon really looking at her again. Those doe eyes, her figure, her hair... just looking at her seemed difficult without revisiting 1864. "Just don't spend too much time fishing for answers. They'll ruin my dark, tall and handsome, plus mysterious, role in all of this, right? I'm more interested in what makes you tick."

her cheeks flushed , and caroline become flustered all over. " oh my god , i'ma need for you two to start wearing name tags or something. " caroline exclaimted dramatically ; releasing a heavy sigh to go with it. " you haven't seen them ? you are missing out ! the first one is tall , and broody. the other one is dark - haired , bad boy vibes. i call dibs on the first one ! "

Natasha wondered and simply hoped for tonight ending in a good note . Although if two Bennetts are feeling off ... even though she mostly felt off whenever she has visions . ❝ ⸻ and I'm sure she'll probably call dibs on one of them . ❞ She lightly chuckled as she shook her head . ❝ Bonnie . You aren't awkward . You're beautiful and smart and any guy would be lucky to have you . And no I'm not just saying all that because you look like me ❞ She joked .

"Definitely witchy --- like something is pressing against my mind and demanding attention," she confirmed. There was a hint of frustration in her voice. None of this was coming easy to her. It felt like Natasha's magic was effortless. Her grandmother's also. Meanwhile she was out there trying to figure out what her magic was trying to tell her. Trying and failing. "I am sure we will attach ourselves to each other later. I think Caroline texted me some hot guys she wanted to tell me about. Not that I am going to just pick a guy. I am way to awkward to pull it off."

Noticing his tense tone , nadya figured its something clearly others would point out . Feeling a bit bad she explained herself ❝ Your scent ❞ Nadya mused as she stepped closer and took it in . ❝ ⸻ It's a captivating blend of amber , rich cedar , smooth vanilla , and subtle musk. Then beneath that is a hint of metallic blood . It's strong but not as strong as others like me make out to be . Other than that , you have a very alluring scent . ❞ On top of his distinguished presence it certainly leaves a lasting impression of grace and sophistication.

His attention turned to person next to him offering him strawberries. His gaze narrowed slightly, trying to discern any hidden meaning behind such a gesture. Klaus' paranoia was starting to rub off on him, he realized. No doubt wondering what his brother was up to had him on guard.

However, it wasn't all for nothing.

Nadya had enough of the bonfire . Well , mostly she was craving strawberries and she wanted to to get to them before the store closed . Walking around under the wanning moon , she caught scent of the vampire . She never met many and only reason she knew was because River taught her . She never got the whole vampire vs werewolf thing .

❝ ⸻ Strawberries ? I promise you they are very good ❞ Nadya held out the large piece of fruit to the taller vampire . ❝ Or do vampires not eat food ? ❞ She never asked considering she hadn't made friends with one . As far as she knew before being bitten .

From what he understood, most were in the woods, celebrating something. For a brief moment, he was brought back to the time when he enjoyed himself in those woods. So long ago --- and so much had changed. Elijah was not that man anymore.

With Mystic Falls residents enjoying themselves, he decided to wander the town. Get a feel for it again. He found himself in the town square, wondering what stood there when he was a teenager. Lost in thought, it took him a moment longer than he preferred to realize he was no longer alone.

marcus felt his mind wonder back to juni ; constantly worried for her. perhaps , that's why he did not notice the approaching figure until it was too late. his larger body slammed against the slimmer one. whatever was left of his drink was spilled between them. " i am so sorry , miss. please, forgive me. " he immediately apologized. " i was not looking where i was going. " marcus eyes scanning her shirt to see if he had made any damaged with his drink.
