“A pleasure to meet you, Avlana,” he said, smiling. He dipped his head in a slight bow as he did so. “I am Raivis Faran.”
She laughed and blushed a bit, looking at the ground. “I’m Avlana. And you?” The Bosmer asked, looking back up at him, her blush fading fast.

“I think we do indeed. Was fun. I... don’t think I caught your name, however. Shame on me-- when I go hunting with a pretty girl, I should at least be able to call her by name.”
She smiled and laughed at his story. “I would love to.” Avlana told him with a slight nod. She hooked her bow on her back again and stretched out a bit. “We should definitely do this again some time. We make a good team.” She shrugged.

“Oh, the chase is all right. I prefer getting up close and personal, though. Did you see that swipe she took at me? Nearly scratched my right ear off!” he said with a grin.
“But, if you like the chase better, maybe you could come with me next time I hear of some dangerous beast or other danger,” he laughed.
She shrugged and walked forward slowly. “The real fun is in the chase.” Avlana told him as she pulled her arrows out of the carcass, flinging the blood on the ground before placing them back in her quiver gingerly. “But, that was fun as well. You’re skilled.” She admitted, and gave him a smile.

“Thank you,” he said, turning toward the shelves to browse the potions. While ordinarily the type to save his money, he had no problem spending when it came to potions that might keep him alive.
After selecting the ones he needed, he set them all on the counter, two average-strength potions of frost resistance, two strong healing potions, one for disease. Counting out the total, he seemed to have added it up in his head. “I’ll purchase these,” he added, pushing the coins toward her, then paused, looking the young woman up and down.
“Do you brew these, or do you just work here?”
Lysa looked up from her work, thankful for a short break as the door bells jingled. Her expression melted into a smile at the visitor as he passed through the shop. “Yes!” She paused listening to his request for a moment before replying with a nod, gesturing towards a few areas of the shop, “frost resist would be there, healing there and cure disease are over here. The higher the price the more potent it probably is” she finished, scanning the mer lightly.

His grin widened as he ducked another swipe of claws. This was going well, he thought. The beast would likely bleed out before long, but he didn’t want to drag this out if he could avoid it.
Bringing up the shield, he slammed it into the sabre cat’s face, bringing his blade forward, then up, impaling it right between the ribs. “Gotcha,” he said as he tugged the sword loose. “Quick kill. Better than letting it be in pain as it bleeds.”
She laughed and shot three arrows in rapid succession, each sinking deep into the beasts hide. Specially designed to increase blood loss, she grinned and aimed for the beasts ear. The arrow whistled through the air, stopping only as it lodged itself far enough the cats ear canal. She gave a battlecry and smiled proudly.

He shrugged, a little smile on his face. “Little ruin or cave or something, a ways north-north-east of here. I didn’t run into them myself, but a fellow I consider fairly reliable did run directly into them. They attacked him and his daughter. Like I said, very aggressive. I thought that if you don’t like them, as I’ve heard, then you may wish to go kill them.”
He paused for a moment, adjusting one of his gauntlets before speaking once more. “So. Is this the kind of thing you do?”
Telasie halted her steps immediately, nearly running into someone. She gave an annoyed click of her tongue, but looked questioningly at the stranger and realized he had spoken to her and was promptly continuing to speak to her. She gave a little shake of her head, trying to keep up with his speech.
“Oh, um..” For once, she lacked words. “Right.” She said after a moment of processing, suddenly returning to her calm state. “Where are they? Did you run into them yourself or is it word of mouth?”

petalworthy:
Larisa grins, waiting for the person she robbed to keep walking before sauntering over to the Dunmer. That he smiled at her was a good sign. He had a sense of humour, which was more than she could say about most heavily-armoured folks. Even the mercenaries in Skyrim tended to take themselves rather seriously, she’d found.
“Afternoon, stranger. I can’t say I’ve seen you around here before, have I?” she asked. And she’s sure she hasn’t. She’d remember a Dunmer in poorly-matched armour, surely.
“I don’t believe you have, though I don’t get to Riften very often. Bit of a walk, not normally one I’m willing to put up with.”
In fact, had one of his acquaintances not requested he escort her, and paid for the time it took to get to this gods-forsaken city of thieves, he wouldn’t be anywhere near there but alas, even overly-charitable warrior mer need to eat sooner or later, and if he takes too many jobs for what amounted to basically free, he’d find himself running out of coin a bit too quick.

“Yes!” he laughed, sounding absolutely giddy as he swung his sword at the sabre cat. “How else will I ensure it doesn’t decide to go for you?”
Ducking under another swing of claws, he brought up his shield once more. “That said, a few arrows would be most appreciated.”
She couldn’t help but roll her eyes as he immediately drew the beasts attention. She darted out of eyesight and backed up a bit, loading her bow to help the elf. “Do you have to be so loud?” She teased, with a grin on her face.

Raivis smiled, drawing his sword and raising his shield a little ways. “Ready,” he said, taking cautious steps into the cave. Inside, he could detect only the wounded sabre cat. Well, at least it didn’t seem to have any fellows about. He could handle the one with relative ease.
To get its attention, he brought his sword and shield together, creating a loud bang. The beast, startled, turned toward him with a yowl, lunging with teeth and claws, which he managed to deflect with his shield.
Avlana nodded, not entirely comfortable with letting the Dunmer get attacked, but he looked like he could take care of himself. Drawing her bow, she stayed behind him and looked behind her, checking for any other animals or bandits before they went in.
“You ready?” She asked, rolling her shoulders a bit. “Just, be careful.”

“You’re lost as well?” he asked with a laugh, though he wasn’t laughing at her, more at the poor luck that resulted from asking someone who didn’t know where they were for directions. It figured, in a way. He was not a lucky mer. Still, it could be worse, and there was likely civilization about somewhere if one walked far enough.
“In that case, I think I know the way back to Riften, and it may be better for me at this point just to head back there. Perhaps, anyway. And... To where are you going, all alone and out here?”
Claudia looked at stranger and smiled. It was a false smile though, the one she used when she felt in possible danger. Well, being cautious never failed her. Except for that one time when she punched Isran and Durak with crowbar. She did not have it with her, so in her opinion stranger had really lucky day.
“Afternoon, sire. I believe it is directly on the south from here, I am not sure though. I guess I got a little lost now.” Claudia replied. Truth was, she had no idea where was she exactly. Her only knowledge about this place came from very uncertain source which was some drunk guy’s rumblings back in Riften. She cursed once more trusting him.

Raivis feels like he’s been wandering around all day. He hasn’t, but he might as well have been. Lost is not the first word he would use for his present situation, but it is the most accurate. So, fine, he’s lost. He’d intended to take a walk to clear his head and lost track of where he was. Could happen to anyone.
He feels his luck is at least a little better, however, when he spots a woman up ahead of him who doesn’t look preoccupied with anything. Picking up his pace, he plasters a friendly smile to his face as he approaches her. “Afternoon, sera,” he greets her, and then, “I’m sure there’s an inn around here somewhere, isn’t there? Do you know the way?”

“I suppose it is,” he murmured in response, watching her study the clawmarks and move on. That she seemed to have an idea of where the beast went was a good thing. He’d have lost the trail again by now.
“Ah. Well, good. Close-quarters,” he said, peering into the cave. It was a little dark, but did not look so poorly-lit that he’d need a torch. No, this should be simple. “I’ll go in first, as she’ll probably attack anyone who follows her in there and my armor can handle her claws.”
She smiled and leaned around a tree, running her hands along a few deep scratches. “A noble cause.” Avlana said as she studied the markings.
Checking to make sure he was still following, she followed the beasts tracks until they reached a river leading to a cave. “That’s where she went.” Avlana told him, pointing to the sloping cave.

He nodded, a calm expression by now having replaced any of his irritation. He was focused now. That was good.
“She attacked some travellers. Any beast that decides its territory includes small towns or roads, well, that’s one that has to go. I don’t care what they are, people can’t start abiding that.”
She smiled at the brief compliment, and looked up at him. “Well then, lets get to it!” Avlana decided, heading along the path. Eventually the ground got softer, and tracks were left behind. “That’s a damn big cat. What are you hunting her for?” She asked, turning as the paws changed direction.

“Has it? Well, looks like I’m better at this than I thought. Or, more likely, the beast is too badly wounded to respond with cleverness.” Still, that it had come through was promising. He was rather pleased, annoyance seeming to fade. If he was lucky, he could kill the sabre cat quickly and be back in civilization before too long.
“If you’re willing, I would not turn down your aid, pretty miss,” he said with a smile, before adjusting the weight of the shield on his arm and turning toward the direction the creature seemed to have gone.
“I wouldn’t be so sure.” Avlana told him, spotting a few drops of blood on the ground in front of her. She leaned down and dipped her finger in it, just to be sure. “Looks like your prey has been through here.” She showed him her finger with a grin.
Standing up, she took a few steps in the direction it’d be running, and stopped in front of another minuscule puddle. “Still need my tracking? I’d be more than happy to help.” The Bosmer told him with a smile.

priestessofarkay started following you
“Good day to you, muthsera.”
The words are spoken fairly quietly, and Raivis does not care to don the sheep’s-clothing of smalltalk, or not right now. In one long motion, he approaches the fellow Dunmer and stops just short of entering what most consider ‘personal space.’
“I hear you don’t much care for necromancers. Someone mentioned it, and it happens I know where some are. Nasty buggers, I’d not get involved with this normally, but these aren’t the ‘find a nice cave or space at the College of Winterhold and keep to themselves’ sort. They’re a touch more aggressive than that.”

“Is it now?” he replied, shivering slightly as the wind tore by. Gods, he hated the wind, but other than the shiver he gave no sign of being bothered. It was -- disconcerting. Nothing more.
“That way,” he said, pointing in the direction he’d come. “It was heading east, so I followed, but the creature proved swift even with its injury. And heavy armor was not made for that kind of speed, or not for long.”
Shaking his head, he let out a sigh, the sound whistling between a gap in his front teeth. Discordant. “If it’s not come this way, I’ve likely well and truly lost it. I was so sure I was on the right track.”
She wasn’t surprised by the Dunmers voice, as she’d seen him long ago. Grinning proudly, she approached him. “Well then, its a good thing you ran into me!” Avlana told him. A heavy gust of wind blew her hair off of her shoulders, and it whipped at her back.
The elf thought back, her hand in her hair. “Hmm… I don’t recall a cat. But I can help you find it.” She told him, and studied the ground around them.
“Hmmm…. Where did you last see the beast?” She asked, turning to him with a friendly smile.

Upon entering, Raivis decides that the tavern he finds himself in is nice enough, and so decides to stay, selecting the nearest open place to sit and flagging down the barmaid.
“Excuse me, I’ll not get my hopes up, but I was wondering, have you any shein in stock? I’ll drink the local stuff, but mead and ale are not my first choice.”
