I can’t claim the idea, it actually belongs to my daughter, who asked me one day, when she was six years old, if the Tooth Fairy knew Santa Claus. And so, as an all-knowing dad, I said yes. And then she wanted a follow-up, she wanted to know more, and so for awhile there were bedtime stories that involved how all these guys knew each other that I would just make up, on the spot, in the evenings. And I started going This is really pretty good, and I really think this is the story I was put on this Earth to tell.

The white stag was a common symbol in European folklore, making an appearance in many different cultures and legends.
The Celtic people considered them to be prophets, messengers of different worlds. White stags heralded purity, as the colour white is often associated with immaculacy and beauty. It was said that when a white stag appeared, it foreshadowed the coming of great change. They have been described as being radiant and acquiring a human-like intelligent unprecedented in other creatures.
There was a Hungarian legend, the tale of Hunor and Magor, where a white stag aided the men in discovering a rich, prosperous land in which they settled.
However, a strict contrast to the Hungarian tale, in Finland the white stag is perceived as being a creature of the underworld and often hypnotized hunters with it’s appearance before inevitably leading them to their death.

It’s time to try defying gravity-
-Like a shooting star, I can go the distance-
-Kiss me goodbye I’m defying gravity-
-I will search the world, I will face its harms-
-I’m Flying high, I’m defying gravity-
-I don’t care how far, I can go the distance-
-And you won’t bring me down! And you won’t bring me down-
-‘Til I find my hero’s welcome right where I-
-And you won’t bring me…
