Balance Changes 4 - Movement
馃攣 Movement: Formerly you had two movement actions. Now your speed functions as a resource- an amount of distance you can move in a turn. Most abilities with movement as a cost will now have you be forced to move as much as they ask for as their cost. Such as "move your full speed." Another cost is "move at half speed."
All characters and premade classes with movement speed abilities (which with the Blue Ability Policy, everyone had one) have been reworked to fit this, some receiving substantial changes.
This will help cut down a little on the mental load by lowering default actions (there is no longer a walk/run separation), and help encourage the playstyle provided by the previous balance change.
New rules below the keep reading line.
Moving
Your speed is the total distance you can move a turn, able to be split between actions. Jumping and flying speed are halved. Actions will state if they give you extra speed, most don鈥檛.
Falling a dangerous distance (greater than your speed or under threat) does 10% of your max HP for each multiple of your speed. Gliding and falling happen automatically, though it only increases your range as actions can be in any part of them.聽
Gliding can move you 2 forwards for each 1 you fall, falling 4 per turn. Advanced Gliding: For 1 Stamina per falling distance, you can change the angle of your glide, falling an additional 2 distance to increase the speed ratio by 1 until you land, or lower your speed ratio by 1 to fall 1 less.聽
Gliding/Advanced take more time to process, and often will not be used unless a situation calls for it. It also counts for movement bonus on attacks.

Ranged Attacks (Basic Ranged and Heavy Ranged) changed from Elegance -> Elegance and Dexterity. Heavy Attacks changed from Strength -> Strength and Power. Basic Attacks changed from Dexterity -> Dexterity and Power.
Str/Dex: Martial Egn/Dex: Ranged Str/Pow: Heavy Dex/Pow: Basic Egn/Pow: Spell (Existing) Egn/Str: Melee
This will likely raise total damage, but not change abilities that do spell damage. This is fine, normal attacks had lower damage than usual, but make some abilities stronger. Expect changes to either health, armor, or damage in the near future!

New Feature - Kudos
Players will receive a number of Kudos to use on their current party, to reward them for anything you feel like. Minor rewards for gaining them, Medium for having a lot, and Major for having a high streak. Rewards can range from Streak Freezes to permanent character boosts.
You'll have to find out what you can get in play, but there will be a way to exchange rewards!

DELAYED ATTACKS: Delayed attacks were a previous feature, where the only way to avoid them was by not standing where they would happen. Now, there are new types of delayed attacks that can be parried.
Deflect Attacks: You can bounce some attacks around. Destroy Attacks: You can stop an attack entirely. Projectiles end up destroyed.
HOW TO PARRY: These delayed attacks will have a path, if you stand in it or move past it, you can parry the attack if it does less damage than your parry amount. You can parry 1 attack per tile while moving, or pay stamina per extra attack while standing still.
This will add more unique attacks for bosses and shake up the map more, additionally, more feats will be designed around this. There might even be a boss with high level damage that can be beaten early by using parry~

New Feature - Mini Phases
Previously, poise breaks for bosses and other strong enemies would only temporarily expose a weakness. With this new feature, the fights will be shaken up!
Stagger - At around 50% of poise broken, the opponent will become staggered, increasing hit and crit for its enemies (you and your allies). Additionally, it will perform a stagger effect it has previously preformed. Break - At 100% of poise broken, as before, armor goes down and everyone can perform a free critical strike. Additionally, the opponent performs a new stagger effect in addition to all previous ones it has preformed when it recovers from the poise break.
Some examples include: - Bloodlust: Perform an extra basic strike with 100% life steal. - Hatred: Gain 25% Crit, regardless if the enemy had crit before. - Seeking: Move 6 or movement speed, whichever is higher, and remove a fracturing.

Battle Map
Struggle with positioning? I made a battle map in google sheets instead of going to sleep. This will be on the new sheet, and is tied to the DM Doc.
Not only that, but you could put ANY sheet link and make your own custom maps, just paste a link to the new sheet in a specified area outside the map.

Not only is this a map, but on the sides it will display things like enemy HPs (Updating, as a bar and numbers, potentially teammate stats (that is already on the main sheet, but could be useful on this one?), important coordinates, a legend, and more to come~

Balance Changes 2 - Armor/Weapons
馃攣 Armor: Total armor slots has been reduced to 5, Headgear (Helmets, hoods, hats, magic necklaces, etc), Top (Chestplate and Mail Skirt, Robes, etc), Bottom (Greaves, Boots, shoes, sandals, ankle bracers), Shoulder for Magical effects (Shoulder Armor, Pauldrons, floating magic) and Core Armor (Material, Enhancement, Aura) for defense. Each slot will now provide more, to make up for the loss of total slots.
馃攣 Weapons: Crit, Hardmode, and Passive have all increased in power, but now there is two instead of three. One is for all heavy attacks, and the other is for non heavy attacks.
Overall this will not change the gameplay experience other than lowering total gear to think about. As a reminder, talent trees will exist for weapons later. This is mostly a format change, and those with character sheets already made will automatically have their sheet changed by me. No one has started play, assigned weapon abilities, or discussed special equipment, so no currency is being handed out.

Grey.
H.Deth: "Grey grey grey." He disconnects from the systems, smiling. "Arthas... Now, The Creator may have not installed my memory, but I can look back at history and see I am at least modeled after the Hacker Arthas Hedt. Oh, how he caused problems in Nelchgotoy, taking control of everything but having the same admin privileges. The government demanded that C-Tek separate and not be able to control their entire country- but look at me now, [Your Character's name], watching over Nelchgotoy with those same systems."
The dozens of screens show many parts of Nelchgotoy, from their space port to the sky, doubling as a wall, to some major tourist locations, to even their center capital. Of course, as you've seen before the news, Neotoid has only used this to fight Blucrum invaders.
H.Deth: "Hmm? Worried about being able to see into their government? Ah, that should be the least of your concerns. I mean, you know we help them- but the tech is OURS and they decided to throw us out. After all, how could I do this if it wasn't?" *He attaches a hand to the system and opens their energy shield for a moment, the protective barrier that was installed back when he was still a fleshling.* "Don't worry, only a moment. I doubt they know it was me- are you going to help when we take our technology back? No killing them, just getting our tech."

GRASPROCT, ProStars, and Agent Seeker
GRASPROCT, or Proct for short, (or even GEN: Robot Ability Serendipity Program Restored Original Crystal Technology for long), is what grew out of C-Tek when Magi became The Creator. Proctors are supporters of it, and Pro-Stars (Prostars) are fleshlings who support where Proct has moved, Neotoid.
Proct expanded past what was traditional as it was freed from Nelchgotoy. Even this suit, as well as external weapons, were developed while a part of Nelchgotoy. This *under* suit solved a major problem people had with the original C-Tek Energy Body Suits- YOU COULDN'T BE STYLISH! Seeker helped with the design, figuring out what the minimal part that still helped the most would be.

Just look how stylish she is! The new design lets someone where an outfit that is pretty normal on Nelchgotoy/Neotoid.

Of course, this is an under suit, and only serves to enhance the actual suit. Additionally, Seeker and many others choose to have those extra blue ports in their skin, letting them use energy better, mixing with their normal magic.
The actual Energy Suit still looks like the older designs, only enhanced in what it does with the under layer.

Back in the days of C-Tek, except for the helmet, people would wear this semi-skin tight suit underneath their primary clothes (Shirts, pants, jackets, etc.) While they still can now, they have the choice of style while still having protection, often leaving soldiers to have the suit style (or even militia people.)
However, GRASPROCT goes beyond. Using metals from outside their planet of Altessa, they designed an official outside suit rather than just embedding into existing armors. It isn't quite power armor, being slightly cheaper and more slim, but it mixes in the magical technology well while still allowing easy connection to their other equipment, including weapons.

Depicted is Agent Seeker, the CEO while The Creator is busy doing whatever he does, inventing, helping adventurers, saving others from near death, you know, the usual. She is an NPC in @of-everything-orbz-star-rpg, but often does not fight.

Neotoid and Base NeoToidStar and their supporters
Neotoid was started as the base, NeoToidStar. It is the main base of operation for @of-everything-orbz-star-rpg, as The Creator selling weapons allows him to fund the adventurers, as well as providing what is needed itself.
The base doubled as a ship, but was constantly being worked on and expanded. New segments would be added, sub ships that can dock on the exterior and be a part of it, holding less important functions, would become a crucial part of this. Each segment of the ship had its own crystal core generator, made at the cost of extremely valuable materials. It holds the ability to use space folding and rapidly travel, though traveled less and less as Neotoid was built around it.
Neotoid itself was built ready to escape, an emergency escape ready to take the whole city-state away if needed, while the same energy generators that once protected Nelchgotoy now remade here, and stronger than ever with their original creator. Neotoids, the robots themselves, as well as fleshlings, all live here. The fleshlings who support Neotoids are known as Pro-Stars, or just Prostars. They're treated as equals, despite how the Nelchgotoy anti-stars treated the Neotoids.
All of this technology was created by GRASPROCT (Gen Robot Ability Serendipity Program Restored Original Crystal Technology), developing out of C-Tek (Crystal Technology). GRASPROCT separated as Magi died, the people of Nelchgotoy not wanting their country and C-Tek to be ruled by Neotoids, not knowing Magi was The Creator. Supporters of GRASPROCT are called Proctors. Many Prostars are also proctors, donning the technology themselves too.
Separated from C-Tek and Nelchgotoy, The Proctors dug deeper into the planet, being in The Danger Zone of Altessa, subjected to terrible weather, they had room to go deep while Nelchgotoy tried to re-industrialize. Only Blucrum stood in their way, capable of spying and going through the harsh weather with their power armor. Their ship was able to be put in the long way, though they only let robots down in the thruster and core engine areas due to heat.
More information on GRASPROCT and the Proctors eventually.

Looking around, you see the wonder of technology. Walls pure and white with energy screens popping up at a touch. Though you're only near the living quarters, you can tell it truly is well thought out. 'Everyone gets the living necessities and gets to be comfortable, they'll help you finance a travel vessel. Cyborgs? Can they be that bad, when the way people fight with technology is as if it matches their flesh, from the Mecha Aces of Segmentia to the Energy Soldiers of C-Tek. Optional: [Even if you died before, you had the chance to live on and become one, and repay your debt to The Creator.] End. This is freedom from a boring life contained to your planet, this is a chance to experience everything, and to be free.]
The Creator: "You signed up, or were forced to come. Either way, we welcome you with full arms. You've certainly chose an interesting time to become an adventurer. As you know, Nelchgotoy has kicked me, Magi, The Creator, from it. I may have waited quite some time to hold the promised elections, but people got what they wanted, I helped reform the nation into a near utopia! Many homes, even if low quality, but they say my priorities were wrong, and giving myself eternal life through The Creator was wrong. Well, how bad is soul magic, anyways?" He hands you a chip and a visor, ready to show you the way to your room that you've had the chance to mildly decorate.
