i might queue up reblogs of old art but, idk. we'll see, it'll be tagged "peachy queue" if i do.

don't worry, i'm okay. i'm just tired of worrying about what other people will think of my art, and i want to tune in to my own thoughts more. social media makes my head very noisy

with that "no ink" piece i posted earlier today, i'm expressing the feeling of being tired of making art for the public eye. i care too much about what other people think, and it stops me from making art because i get stage fright.

i'm aware people are expecting art, and i feel bad about disappointing them. but i'm too "low on ink" to create anything and i need to go hide for a while to recover.

social media and trying to make my art/internet presence "marketable" has really made it hard to enjoy making things. i know the "real solution" is probably to just get over it and recognize nobody is going to threaten or shun me for drawing a bad-looking hand... but i can't do that yet! too overwhelmed by anxiety.

once i have a better handle on myself, my mental health, my relationship with art, and my relationship with the internet, i will return.

hi everyone! long time no art!

i decided i should make a side blog where i'm much more casual about what art i post and what i say about it. it's @octomomo !

trying to stay sorta professional on this blog (octopeachy) and worrying about what other people will think has made art very stressful for me. i feel stage fright when i open up an art program, i erase so many promising sketches, i have whole worlds of ocs that i don't draw or talk about because it's not polished or finished...

but now i have a place where i can express myself freely and share whatever lore or doodles i want! and nobody has to see it if they don't want to! but if you do want to see it, you can find it at @octomomo and follow if you wanna idk.

i will still be posting art here (octopeachy) but i'll probably keep it to pieces i'm proud of and fanart and stuff. i've already kinda been doing that tbh. if you want to see more of my art in general and don't mind seeing me be a little more talkative, i will be posting a bit more regularly on octomomo! :>
