man i miss my ipod classic, it was so satisfying to have all of my music on a dedicated device and there was nothing like adding new songs to it (that were definitely obtained legally). i havent had a traditional ipod/mp3 player since 2009 or 10 (im pretty sure the hard drive died). i use spotify these days and im terrified of the day where i lose all of my music for one reason or another. maybe i should return to my roots

Hi! Is it weird to see other people learning your style and drawing your characters? (Like for the animated short)

Not weird, exactly. More than anything it's been a delightful sort of education for me. We actually had to rework the character designs for animation compatibility, and that was a collaborative effort. I loved seeing the concept drawings other designers were experimenting with in this phase of production, and in a sense, because I was pretty hands on with the character sheet-making, I had to learn to draw them a bit differently too.

It was also enlightening to discover which aspects of my character designs for the comic translated for animation and which absolutely did not, like Freckle's face and stripe pattern. It was similarly interesting to observe which character designs were troublesome for the incoming animators and which were easy to take to. In keeping with his character, Rocky was a pain for everyone, especially with his hat on. Ivy was the most simpatico. (Nevertheless, the animators are pros and grew adept at drawing all of them.)
