July 30 2020 - Activists against evictions in New Orleans blocked off both entrances to first city court, which handles evictions for rents less than $3000, blocking many landlords during the day who were trying to get into court to get their tenants evicted. Housing is a human right! [video]

The truth is, we’re both frauds. Your ancestors never sent me, they don’t even like me. But you risked your life to help people you love. I risked your life to help myself. At least you had good intentions.

Elsa: A spirit trapped in a Queen, not a Queen stuck in the woods.
-Frozen 2 Spoilers, Canonical Talk-
How can a literal queen ever be expected to live happily in the wilderness?
Yes we all get that Elsa is a spirit now, but there is more to it than that.
She was imprisoned in her own home from the ages of 8 to 21, for the crime of existing. And she was never—not once, in two movies—at her happiest inside the palace. How could she be?
She escapes mid-movie in Frozen and promptly builds an ice-door for the sheer purpose of slamming it shut, NOT because it makes her happy but rather because closed doors are literally all she’s ever known.
Point 1: We see her in the final shot of the first Frozen at her happiest point in the movie: out in the open air.

Point 2: We begin Frozen 2 and she is looking as unsettled as ever, smiling with delight when she decides to “seize this day” during Some Things Never Change, as it gives her an excuse to dash outside.

And then enter the Northuldra, with a culture more different than anything she’s ever seen. If she had known that the wandering life of a herding community was an option, I doubt we ever would’ve had that ice palace in the first movie.
And Point 3: the final shot of Frozen 2. She is running at speed, breathing in fresh air, surrounded by nothing for miles around—not a wall, not a door in sight. And she is finally home.
The question was never “how can a queen be expected to live in the forest?”, it was and has always been “how did that spirit ever manage to survive indoors?”
