Kerry Eurodyne and Us Cracks as Oli Sykes and BABYMETAL, ca. "Kingslayer" - based on this post by @koda-shoulda-woulda-but-didnt because yes, it's perfect xD

Since I first met them in game, Us Cracks have in my head always been a pop version of Babymetal, and the fact they often do collabs with "more serious" metal bands fits so perfectly with their and Kerry's storyline xD So happy I'm not the only one who sees this :D

(and yes, while I do think Kerry gets along with the girls just fine if you smooth things out between them during "I don't wanna hear it", Kerry's ego is still huge and I think he'd still be meh about being seen in their merch, especially in the beginning XD)

And yes, I wanted to put the girls in a variety of Kerry merch from various past (and planned) tours and such :D really hope I'll get around to making some of them in game eventually xD

The tragedy that is Corpo!V and Jackie's relationship lies in Jackie's consistency for saving V, while V's big onscreen attempt to save Jackie falls short. Jackie rescues V on three distinct occasions: during the mysterious Mexico job, when he offers his home after V's expulsion from Arasaka, and by using his last bit of strength to slot the relic into V's head. From a purely headcanon perspective too, you could speculate that Jackie's influence prevented Arasaka from “corrupting” V, keeping them from turning into just another soulless corpo that we see populate Night City.

Jackie remains a steadfast presence in V's life, reliably coming to their aid whenever needed, even unknowingly (like by slotting in the relic). However, when Jackie desperately needs V's support, V fails. Despite V’s impressive strength and training from Arasaka, the heist claims Jackie’s life. Now burdened with an impending death sentence due to the relic in their head, V is left without that shoulder to lean on. The man who consistently "saved" them is gone, leaving V to grapple with their fate.

I even kind of view Jackie's final act of saving V with the chip as a symbol that if Jackie dies, V's own destiny is sealed. But that’s a little pessimistic for the games overall narrative (imo). I just think it's interesting how Jackie always offers an out to V, while V fails to do the same. It’s extremely bittersweet and definitely adds to the tragedy of their stories.

As far as I can tell there are a few different types of dog, independent of sex or breeds but occasionally correlated - including among others -

eccentric roommate (lives here. does stuff. when you're lucky you know what it is before they do it.)

dubious peasant (generally agreeable but on the verge of plotting revolt if not handled appropriately and regularly)

adorable ward (is Baby, makes up for immaturity with cute looks)

sworn knight (serve you till the end of your days. plz give task. take on quest. affirm is good dog)

confused auntie (wants you to make good life choices, mostly just sits on chairs and judges you)

Listen listen its stupid but Cyberpunk 2077 Severance au where Arasaka corp in their aim to assemble the perfect work force create an Engram chip that copies an altered version of your personality over and triggers it while in Arasaka Tower only. you can't tell me Arasaka wouldn't create a chip to sever someone's memories into two separate beings and use it to torment their favourite bastard rocker boy Johnny Silverhand.

Alt acting in this au as Gemma does with innie Johnny unaware of who she is but feeling weirdly drawn to her.

Corpo V acting as Helly a newcomer going through the procedure to impress the bosses. (Also silverv moments I'm a hellyxmark shipper sue me)

I'm bouncing between willingly severed Johnny trying to rescue alt espionage style or they keep him locked up but let him 'work' on the severed floor of the tower as a sort of flex : we can reprogramme and contain our enemies. Either way oittie Johnny goes missing after the bombing of Arasaka Tower after finding the severed alt.

Jackie is Petey sorry spoilers they both die way too early but I guess if I'm going for V as Helly Jackie specifically escapes the severed floor and gets corpo V in a corner in el coyote cojo to try to explain the horrors going on in there.

Update/more thoughts:

The *strange and mysterious work* is led by severed alt and is the soulkiller programme. It's all a ploy to have a non tiring , devoted work force to help preserve the soul of the Arasaka family and legacy in turn.

Trying to think who'd be Burt and Irving like who's giving tormented lovers in cyberpunk 2077? I deeply believe Kerry should be one of them most likely Irv , like Irving's signature ' let's burn this place to the ground' line ,it feels like the sort of devoted to the past VS fighting for a future you actually want , fits well with Ker.

*Season one severance spoilers* -

when they get awoken outside of the tower innie corpo V sees in their apartment amongst samurai records an article or a band photo and has the epiphany oh my god my co-worker is a rockstar.

Followed by oh fuck my coworkers my best friend and he's dead but the terrorist guy he's alive oh shit oh fuck.

Johnny probably still trapped in the tower but awake realises alt is alive and the reason he got severed in the first place.

Ker wakes up in the wrecked mansion and dishes to try to find someone anyone linked to his last who can help.

V is gone. But they are still absolutely alive.

Deeply obsessed with my gals in cyberpunk I need to draw them later:

Streetkid!V :- Valerie romancing Judy and aiming for the Star ending.

She realises that the 'big leagues' dream , well what did it actually mean to Jackie he always talked about getting that big house the better car a good life with Misty just one big job then retirement and never got the chance to live it , so she leaves. Leaves the self destructive dream of being a legend because it wasn't her dream it was Jackie's it's a Heywood dream and she'll be damned if she lets this chance to leave slip by be that living two weeks or hey maybe years outside NCs walls.

Corpo!V :- Vanya non-romancing (she's ace and kinda weirdly unromantic cause of life experiences working in Arasaka it's a long story) aiming for the Temperance ending.

She absolutely in her opposite situation relates to a good few things with Johnny. She has chronic pain in her neck and left arm after being burned during a gang war that broke out outside Arasaka Tower while trying to get home. She hates Arasaka after spending years working it's PR cleaning up it's messes for the sake of 'Family' see terms and conditions of employment familial benefits package 3.4 (specifically covering her mother's funeral costs after years of prolonged medical treatments under experimental Arasaka research) and getting booted out and cyberwear shut down leading to near death and a perma flare up of her chronic pain.

She decides to give Johnny the body and leaves a collection of letters on how to care for her, for it for his body now what pills to take when what burn cream what muscle excersize , clothes sizes, hair dyes etc etc etc to the nines. Like little eulogies she accepts death because this gives her purpose.

Nomad!V :- Voxel (nicknamed fox or just the standard V) not sure on ending choices yet but massively crushing on Panam (unrequited) maybe star too as a sort of return to the life you left thing maybe a don't fear the reaper blaze of glory death idk yet.
